Was wary about this due to the price, despite the reviews, but when it arrived it worked straight from the box without waiting for a charge so i heard it straight away and what a result, has a reasonable volume, but if you are in the garden you need to think of the neighbors. And the base when opened is absolutely spot on, a fantastic buy and with all this hot weather has earned its keep in its first 3 weeks, i am now in profitthanks guys have already recommended you to friends, family and colleagues.
I am a big fan of music, and i love to have loud music in the background to sing and dance to. It is robust, light, small and has and amazingly long battery life. It is easy to use there is a switch on the side that has two settings. I personally use this product quite allot and it is light and has a nifty battery life. Comes with brilliant packaging and has a usb to charge the product up. The only disappointing things about this product is the sound quality which is a bit annoying as i love my music. However it is not bad music quality, just not exquisite, and the wire is very short on this product. I would recommend it to anyone who want’s to have loud music playing in any environment. Very worth it for the pricehope you found this review helpful.
I bought this as i wanted a cheap speaker to take travelling with me. The sound quality was good considering the size of it, and it was small enough to fit in a bag. I loved that it can be re-charged and brightened up our days when we were feeling a bit low travelling, we’d put on some songs and have a sing and dance. Lasted well throughout the whole trip despite our rough handling.

“Great Small Speaker Produces Great Sound, Small but perfectly formed, Stunning for the money”
This little speaker was worth a poke at £5 and it’s much better than i had exspected. I purchased it based on youtube reviews that put it higher up than the more costly ones. This works great for travel. Nice to be able to walk around your hotel room without a headset on. Plenty of volume if you take it out on a picnic or just sit ya bum down and soak up the sun. Nice way to share music with others on a day out. Would telll everyone looking for a speaker to add to an mp3 player, to buy this. Pros:small, well built, sounds great, long life on one charge. Will charge from computer or wall adaptor or car usb charger. Cons:well not with respect to the speaker and the cost.
I wanted a small but quality portable speaker for use with my iphone and this certainly fits the bill. The small size belies the quality of sound reproduction. It provides more than adequately whether it is music or podcasts you want to listen to, without the need for cumbersome speakers. I have tried other small speakers which are incredibly ‘tinny’ and severely lacking in bass, so the veho is in my opinion way ahead of the posse. I am delighted with the veho and would recommend it to anyone wanting a small portable speaker with superb sound reproduction. You’ll also be amazed by the time it plays on a single charge.
Plugs easily into a phone/ ipod / mp3player. Ease of charging, battery life is average, very small and compact for taking on travels as i mainly use it when in a hotel/hostel room. The sound quality is good in the sense that it does not sound ‘tinny’, it could be louder but is still loud considering it’s size.
I was a little apprehensive when purchasing this speaker and could not believe that a product so small would provide a good quality sound and would probably be slightly ‘tinny’. However after reading the reviews i went ahead with the purchase and must admit that i am delighted with the product. Not only does it provide good quality sound reproduction, but as it is rechargeable there is very little battery drain on the mp 3 player for which i bought this item. I use it at work as background music and i am amazed at the length of battery life. Recharging does actually take longer using the usb lead than actually stated, but the end results are worth the wait. Obviously not designed to flood the local village hall with music, but perfectly adeqate for use in a normal sized room without the need for headphones. Would recommend this product.
Got this speaker to use my mp3 in the car. Previously used one of those mp3 emulator cassette things – rubbish. And one of those radio tuner things – even more rubbish. So got this as i wanted something compact and quick to set up and listen to music on way to work. Its great, the sound is good from such a small device. Keep it in my handbag and also use it when i have been sitting in the garden. First charge was for about 20 mins and it is still playing after about 4 hours. Everyone is really impressed with its sound quality for size.
The sound is more than adequate. To be honest, if you were looking for the effect of the orchestra actually in your sitting room – you wouldn’t be buying a portable speaker. But for a bit of music on the go, and a nice light suitcase – this is fantastic. (having since used it on holiday, i have to add that it seemed to suck a lot of the battery life out of my sony walkman mp3 player while in use. Not an issue at home, but since i can only recharge the walkman via my computer – it refuses to charge from anything else – this meant the mp3 battery did not last as long as usual while we were away.
I do like these little speakers , they make the music from my android tablet sound so much better, they are quite powerful considering the size & enhance the audio playback of virtually everything to no end, as they are rechargeable they do not require a constant stream of aaa batteries or similar, however it is a pig when the juice runs out when you are out & nowhere near your dedicated charging lead, that is why i bought two, that way i always have a back up for my speakers – 5 stars for the seller – 4 stars for the product – 5 stars for the postage.
I purchased this item for using on a radio without an in built speaker namely a ‘youkits’ hb1b morse code, triband tranceiver ,& it works great with this radiothe speaker is only about half the size of a golfball yet it has good strong loud audio and is ideal tor using when out and about instead of headphones it has an inbuilt rechargable batterywhich re charges via usb, this item also works great with my mp3 playeroverall i reccomed it to anyone needing a small but powerful portable speaker i give it 5 stars just buy oneits great.
I love my ipod and music but when i am at the stables i can’t really wear headphones because i need to be aware of the animals and people. However, mucking out and pottering around the stable can time time and i wanted to be able to listen to my music. Our block is separate to the general stable area so its quiet. I wasn’t sure how this was going to work but i am really pleased with it. Its small, easy to use and a great price. Despite the low price the sound quality is not compromised at all. I like the fact that you can charge it up on your computer (or with an adapter plug) and then it gives a long play time. Very pleased and would recommend.
This small compact speaker has been a great improvement on my laptop speaker. I have made great use of it over the months and can say that the battery life is pretty good. The sound quality is not that of real speakers, but far better than something like your phone speaker. The best thing about these speakers is that you can still use them while they are being charged.
I bought this speaker a while ago to take on a trip abroad where i wouldn’t have a laptop to play music from. Really small and compact which is great and you can actually get a pretty decent level of volume. Connects perfectly to my ipod. Only problem is that it’s now broken after not much use. Not sure if it got damaged somehow or if the quality of the battery isn’t great. It was fully charged and then only played for about 20 minutes before refusing to work again.
I previously posted a less than flattering review because the product had gone missing in transit. However the supplier – total digital stores – reacted superbly well and a replacement is already on the way to me even though i believe them not to have been the cause of the problem. 5* service and customer care. I have previously owned this product and used it until it fell apart under the strain of relentless use at home and abroad. It is such a good size to take on holiday to the beach or poolside with an mp3 player. I have no hesitation is recommending the product at such a good price as well as the supplier.
This is a great little speaker which plugs into any phono socket (i mainly use on my knidle hd). Good sound, although for something so small and cheap you may not expect a lot, but it does exactly what you would want it to. As an example, we stayed in a converted barn recently with a large indoor swimming pool. I connected this up to my kindle at poolside, and on max volume the sound was still clear, undistorted and filled the pool area just enough to keep everyone entertained – pretty impressive. The slight drawback is that when it is unclipped and it pops up (novel design to improve sound quality), it is then slightly tricky to align it back up and clip it back down again, hence why just 4 stars.
Packaging:the outer wrapper was the same type used for books and games from amazon, but in this case it was fine because the product’s packaging is a sturdy plastic box (much like boxes for apple products). The speaker itself is suspended in plastic within the box. Contents:inside the box there is the speaker, a mini-usb cable and a quick start guide (not that it’s really needed). The item:the speaker itself is very small – about the size of a golf ball. When in use, the speaker can be expanded from a split around the middle to give it a sound box, making the sound better (although i don’t see it’s necessary). There is a mini-usb slot on the side for charging the speaker’s battery, a 3-way power switch and a plastic loop for attaching some sort of keyring or lanyard for safe-keeping. The power switch’s three positions are ‘off’, ‘half-volume’ and ‘full-volume’. I usually find that half-volume is fine, even when the volume on my phone isn’t on full. There is also a small led to indicate power and charge status using two colours. The audio jack is very short, but this enables it to fold into the base of the speaker when not in use.
Just about as good as you could reasonably expect from such a small speaker. Others have complained about the short connecting lead but i found this more of a convenience than a problem.
I have tried it on my tablet, and on my netbook. I am so impressed with this unit, and the ridiculous price, (less than £6), i have ordered another, one to keep with the netbook, and one for the tablet. If you are going away and take an mp3/4 player with you this will enable you to travel very light, and have a mini entertainment system for the apartment/hotel room. This has got to be the accessory of the year. (and the service was excellent).
Got this recently as couldn’t be bothered with headphones for radio listening and it is totally ideal – although its very small it is certainly powerful enough for my needs whilst i’m in the garden, so gonna be taking it on our beach holiday – so much better than headphones and easily fits in pocket and it doesn’t hurt the pocket at such a good price i defo recommend this.
The quality of the speaker is very good. The charge holds very well, so well i can’t even put an estimate of how long it has last for between charges. I bought this to use with a cheap tablet, the speakers on that were not up to anything so needed an external speaker. For some reason i assumed the wire for the jack was coiled up inside, i ended u yanking it a bit but obviously nothing came out. Pretty much found the speaker not suitable for what i was intending to use it for because it was just left dangling off the tablet.
I purchased this speaker after my most recent x-mini speaker broke in a couple of weeks after purchase. At half the price i thought it was worth a risk. The speaker is tiny and well designed. I was surprised at how good the sound was. I use the speaker for listening to podcasts rather than music and find it perfect for that. The battery life is not as good as the x-mini and mine never tells me when its fully charged. It is charged through a usb cable and light will stay red no matter how long it is plugged in. Reading through previous reviews it seems to be a common problem.
I already use a bluetooth veho 360bt speaker from my laptop for presentations at work and the sound quality and volume is amazing. So when i saw this smaller version i thought it would be ideal to take on holiday. However, i’m somewhat disappointed as this is nowhere near as good as the 360bt version. Using it from my mp3 player or laptop the quality is very tinny with poor bass qualities. However the volume is fairly good for an item the size of a golf ball. For the price paid this is better quality and louder than others for around the same cost, just don’t expect too much. Go for the larger veho 360 you will be impressed.
This speaker is really rubbish. I’m reticent to give it 3 stars, i’d rather give it 2 but considering i saw it for sale in boots at £20 and i bought it off here for £5 i figure that at least it was a good deal. Really though, don’t buy it. The sound is tinny and hollow. No volume control really – it has a slide switch with 2 settings: quiet, and a little bit louder. It’s just really poor as far as speakers go. I’ve owned x-minis for a few years now but they started putting the prices up so thought i’d give this a chance. My honest opinion – buy an x-mini.
