Very easy to set up and use, great sound.
Use these for my laptop, very clear sounding and really great bass response, very happy with these speakers.
Much better than my previous center and i can set it to do the job of boath the center and sides.
The main thing for me was that they were very easy to set up and the sound from them was pretty good in my room. Its just a case of unpack them, switch them on and pair them with your device. My phone pairs with them first time every time. I’m not an expert, but for me the sound quality is very good given the size and cost of them. The design / shape of them at first took some getting used to, but that has grown on me. I haven’t connected them to a pc or laptop as i currently have no need – but it is an option. If you are looking for speakers that are easy to set up with a good sound quality, then these are certainly worth considering.
Very good sound quality and looks really good.
I have been using these speakers for a few months now and i am very pleased with them. They are easy to set up and to use. They look well and do not take up a lot of desk space. In terms of what it is reasonable to expect, i think the sound is excellent. They cost around £80 and are not hi fi speakers and do not claim to be; but they do not seem to be far short. For general listening i have found them a good choice. It would seem unfair to compare them with other speakers which could cost several times the price. I only mention this because it seems to be a source of comment in other reviews. I think they would be a good choice to partner a laptop (which mine do), pc or other device.
- No deep bass but has great features
- 100% recommend!
- Huge but a good sound
I’m not an audiophile, so there’s no comment here on the perfect-ness of sound from the speakers here; they were great for me on youtube videos and other variably compressed sources – but from a practicality perspective these speakers are pretty good. The left speaker is connected to the right by a nice simple long cable – this seems shielded and is not affected as much as other audio cables that have to traverse the complicated signal-noise environment typically found behind the back of computer systems. The power line into the right speaker is not a standard type, like micro-usb or any other standard size / configuration – but it is long and plugs securely. From a user-interface perspective – the challenge of getting noise out without reading the manual was successful: the 3 buttons light up when you move your hand toward them, the fact that the fabric is less cleanable than simple buttons is a risk, but it does look nice, and doesn’t seem to be inadvertently triggered in any annoying ways.
Bigger than expected great value for the money ,very pleased my son is with these speakers.
I have these connected to my turntable and they sound amazing. I also connect via bluetooth through my phone and it is so easy. I asked my partner to set these up and he said i could have done it as it was so easy.I was on the fence of buying these but for the price you get such a high end sound. I would definitely recommend.
Got this half priced on black friday deal. The sound quality is miles better than i thought and the touch buttons on the right speaker make it very sexy and easy to control. Brings your imac to life lol.
There’s only one thing about these mx sound speakers from logitech i’m not totally impressed by and that’s the way they sound – which is unfortunate when it’s the main reason for their existence. For music reproduction they fall short of the better speakers in this price range – however for general computer use, also their raison d’etre, they’re still a massive upgrade on the (usually awful) inbuilt speakers in pc’s. The design is cool and they seem very nicely made and certainly look the part parked either side of your computer display. The controls are hidden in the right speaker and light-up as your hand approaches, which is a cool feature but not the most responsive because the proximity sensor takes a second to see you coming. There’s no on/off switch at all and the speakers supposedly turn themselves off after 20 minutes of inactivity, though they seem to keep the proximity sensor powered at all times so i’m a bit dubious. You get two wired inputs, pc and aux, both using 3. 5mm jacks plus there’s bluetooth and you can connect more than one input at a time and they seem to co-exist happily enough. I’ve been able to play music from my smartphone (via bluetooth) while playing (and hearing) a game – so you can dj your own game soundtrack if you want to. There’s also a headphone socket (standard 3. 5mm jack again) on the speakers which is a slightly odd inclusion although it does mean you could add a headphone socket to a bluetooth device that doesn’t otherwise have one (iphone anyone?).

Great speakers but the sound / bass isn’t great.
I’ve recently been in the market for a set of desktop speakers, something to listen to my music through as i work throughout the day. These seem to be just the ticket, i can connect them directly to my computer and also wirelessly connect my phone via bluetooth when needed. The speakers themselves are of a reasonable size, i only have a 13 inch laptop so when placed either side they can look a tad oversized. Paired with a large desktop computer they might look particularly good. I’ve resorted to placing them either end of my desk instead so they look much better. Sound wise they’re pretty decent, i’ve only used them for listening to music, i don’t play games or anything of that nature. They’re not too bass heavy which is fine by me and suits the type of music that i listen to. 5mm jack on the back so if you ever need to connect headphones then you can do, something i tend to do at night. I also connect my phone via bluetooth which is an added bonus as i have different music on both devices and depending on what i’m doing i may not have the laptop on so it’s easier to just send tunes from my phone to the speakers.
Whether you’re gaming or listening to music, it is a joy to listen to the audio from these speakers. They have a good amount of bass without making the mids or highs suffer. Voice clarity is great and the sound staging is pretty good.
Good sound and i am happy with this purchase. One thing only why i have not given it 5 stars is lack of buttons or at least remote.
If you are looking at these for pc use then they could be worth it, but bearing in mind bluetooth limitations. If you are just looking for speakers for music only, then you will likely find better options elsewhere. Bluetooth issues:the first potential failing point of any bluetooth speaker, is bluetooth itself. It compresses the file even further which can result in a muffled sound as the other reviewer has mentioned. So if you are playing an mp3 music file through it (ie an already compressed file), it gets compressed again, which clearly has an impact on the sound. Bluetooth with aptx conversion is meant to sound better than standard bluetooth. I can’t see any reference to this speaker using aptx though. A wi-fi direct speaker produces a much better sound as the files are sent to the speaker direct without further compression. This is how chromecast audio works, as one example, and it can be connected to a bluetooth speaker that has an aux input. You can go further down this line of argument and say that the quality of chromecast audio is limited by it’s internal dac which is true, but for ease of argument it still sounds better than bluetooth, and anyway you can just keep on going forever down the hifi upgrade route.
This logitech speaker system works very well with any bluetooth device such as tablets, phones and computers. The speakers are very modern in style and would enhance the look of any device in any location. It delivers a balanced sound and the controls can be found behind the fabric mesh of the speakers which are very soft touch. My only comment against these speakers are that it would have benefitted by being a chargeable system rather than mains driven, but i am not sure how they would have maintained the very good stereo sound which is peaked at 30 watts. For the price, quality and sound that is delivered by these speakers i would recommend them.
Bluetooth speakers: Pair up to two Bluetooth devices and/or connect one device via the 3.5 mm input and reliable 25-meter line of sight range
I purchased these to replace my ageing desktop speakers, and although they wouldn’t win any awards from people who like deep base, they actually sound very good. Simple to set up and look really cool on my desk, they fit in nicely with my very ocd colour scheme, i wish that they were actually black and not dark grey. Functionality is excellent with simple bluetooth pairing and the wave to wake up the lighting gesture works really well, touch controls for the volume +/- are implemented with a gentle tap and not by pressing a physical tactile button and i prefer this. Some have mentioned about these speakers going into a sleep mode or shutting off but i have not experienced this in the full month of using them. They turn off when i power down my computer. Connectivity is simple, cable from the sound card/port on your pc into the back (cable supplied), mains power supply additional aux port if required and a 3. 5mm headphone port, no software required. Sound is pretty decent and is suitably loud, although as mentioned slightly lacking in bass. I plug my headphones into the back when i am watching movies on amazon prime and the sound throughput from the 3. 5mm port on the rear works perfectly (as good as it would sound if plugged into your pc’s sound card.
These are a really good pair of bluetooth speakers although quite expensive. They would easily work as the main speakers for a room. They are wired (not wireless) and connected to each other but there is enough cable to put them a bit apart. They connect very simply via bluetooth, no apps to install. Controls are very simple, all you have to do is wave a hand in front of the right hand speaker and gently press the bluetooth icon and it will come up for your pc, phone or tablet.
Good sound but absolutely no bass, all i can hear is an empty bass, leaving the music completely flat. I can see this being a good speak for listening to dialogue or the odd song, i’ve been left feeling like i should’ve bought something with a woofer.
Logitech have really upped their industrial design game of late – these speakers look great on the side in my daughter’s university room; understated, clean and fit for purpose. They do need a long burn in, she didn’t notice the change in sound but from delivering them to her and then visiting again a month later the sound went from thin and reedy to a very satisfying warm tone with nicely defined crisp treble and a controlled bass. They sound great from the sources tried which have included recent samsung phones, iphone 6, microsoft surface rt and an apple macbook air. Connecting is easy and physical controls are neatly ‘hidden’ under the right hand speaker grille – only illuminating through the cloth when needed. There’s more than enough grunt in the sound to fill a large living room when isabella takes the speakers down into their communal space too.
They are very easy to set up, once you’ve worked out that the instructions are on the box (a bit odd). They feel good quality – heavy and well built. I find the controls on the right hand speaker slightly annoying and would prefer them to be a bit more defined and easy to use. We use these speakers for our son’s bedroom and they are ideal for him. I’m no expert, but the sounds is very good for a small room. We have a couple of other logitech products and they have been good purchases too.
I really like these little (ish) speakers. I’ve not been using them as computer speakers, instead, i’ve installed them in the kitchen and use them via bluetooth to listen to music, podcasts and audiobooks. They fulfil this function perfectly. My kitchen isn’t huge but the speakers fill the room with good quality sound that is surprisingly rich and full. I was previously using a single bluetooth speaker unit which had a problem with cutting out and was frankly tinny. It was a little cheaper, so can’t compare it directly, but i had no problem deciding to relegate it as soon as i’d tried these logitech speakers. Good sound, great value, excellent build quality.
First pair switch between audio sources thanks to Logitech Easy-Switch technology; compatible with TVs, PC/laptop, tablets and phones
Logitech have really impressed me with their rebrand, i would say up until now i still associated the company with webcams in the 90’s and plasticky lightweight speakers for old computer desktops. But the build of these is brilliant, heavy and solid pair designed to permanently sit within a workspace. The speaker front is material covered mesh grid, so there’s little chance of damage with an accidental knock or heavy handedness use from multiple people – the office environment has been well considered with the design. 5 stars is an ideal rating for these, and they don’t deserve as much bad rep as they are getting, because when judging them on their intended use as permanent computer speakers – and not a leisure speaker designed for music – they perform really well. —————connection was super easy. Just plug in to power and the speakers came up immediately on my phone and computer. Connect and they give one beep, disconnect and they beep once. Connecting to the computer however isn’t done through the same auxillary input as connecting a phone or headphones – it’s separate, and when plugged in (this cable is included) your computers audio controls are overridden and computer speakers completely bypassed, with everything now controlled from the speaker. I found this out because with a mac, when it’s connected to external speakers and i control the volume with the keyboard, i can hear the blip blip blip through the other speakers with the volume change.
A very decent set of versatile speakers, these. They were easy to set up straight out of the box; there`s a choice of mains plug (two-pin euro type or three-pin uk) and there`s a cable to connect the speakers together, after that you have the choice of directly connecting the system to the sound source or using bluetooth – which was simple enough once i had a device (iphone in this case) to test it with. Otherwise, i tested it mainly using the supplied connection cable with my mp3 player, a cd player and my pc. I found the sound quite acceptable; the bass was really quite good for a system such as this and i was fairly happy with the general dynamics across the range; as all-purpose speakers they managed well with music, spoken word and dvd soundtracks. I wouldn’t use them as my primary listening choice for music – but then, i have a dedicated system for that anyway; as a pc speaker system it`s fine – i like the motion-activated, back-lit volume controls which take over from the pc’s own controls as i’ve always found them a bit of a nuisance to access and adjust. This is a compact and stylish little system which performed well with the individual set-ups i tried it with, though i found it most favourable to use with the computer. All-in, a nice, recommendable speaker system.
Great premium speakers that offer a good sound and some great features. They provide an upgrade to typical pc, laptop speakers with a solid sound. The design is eye catching and looks good on the desk. The speakers incorporate motion sensitivity, as you move your hand close to the speaker face. The face lighting up to confirm operation. The touch sensitive face is then used to control the speakers. If you prefer not to use bluetooth to connect there is a 3. Handy if you don’t always want bluetooth on. 1, which i found to be very reliable (no hampering connection dips). It also has the ability to connect to more than one device. So you can have your iphone or ipad connected and your pc. You can easily switch between each device.
Unique design, offering clarity and power from such a compact product.
These logitech speakers had a tough situation to face because currently i use a bose portablebluetooth unit (the size of a hardback book), the quality of which is sublime. The practical issues with the bose unit are ergonomic and minor. I forget to put it on chargeand find myself plugging it in. It needs somewhere to sit and therefore occupies space and ineed to physically switch it on. In isolation, each aspect is piffling but it does mean that attimes i find myself working in silence due to inertia. The logitech mx speakers are neat and stylish, each the size of a deep cereal bowl glued to asmall cup (which i imagine is akin to a woofer), on its side and covered in quality greyspeaker fabric. The look is ‘fade into the background’ and whilst pictures show them sittingon desks mine are tucked invisibly in the footwell and to one side of my desk. Very much plug and play, my iphone paired straight away and from there on the speakersthemselves play no part (excepting making the sound obviously) and i just hear the musicwaft up. I do need to ‘connect’ to logi mx sound each time i put on music because theinterphase will assume the connection has dropped when i switch music off. This is just aswell because my phone pairs with a landline, headset and earpiece as well as my imac and iwould not want it locked into a given pairing.
Logitech bill the mx range as ‘the first premium bluetooth speaker for your desk’ and with this in mind (i. They are not designed as high end audio speakers) it is very hard not to rate them highly. Talking of ratings the mx come rated at 12w (rms) and 24w (peak) with the output delivered through two speakers measuring 160-by-160-by-83. You can hook them up to a pc using a 3. 5mm audio cable, or connect wirelessly via bluetooth (4. 1) with a range (according to logitech) of 25 meters. There’s also a very useful headphone jack on the back. One feature i particularly found useful is the ability to connect any other device (phone/tablet) even when the speakers are hard wired to a pc. Using the mx “easy-switch” technology, even if the speakers are plugged into your desktop you can still pair them with any other mobile devices over bluetooth. Pairing the speakers was a doddle and in the looks department, despite their small form they have a premium feel & appearance all round. The controls are invisible but illuminate via hand gesture and are very responsive. In terms of that all important sound, well i have to say that i was quite impressed.
Before i got these, i was exclusively a headphone user at my desk, but as more devices accumulated and more time was spent at one spot, wearing a headband day-in day-out was getting tiresome. These days i’d say it’s a 50/50 balance between using headphones and using these speakers. The good:- connectivity – i can have two aux inputs and a bluetooth sound source playing through these speakers at the same time, with the included headphone jack, that functionality also gets added to my headphones. – aesthetics – good quality matte plastics and the devices have a decent heft to them when picked up, the touch controls have been surprisingly robust. They’re just nice to look at and feel built to last. – sound quality – while this is not going to please any audiophiles, the sound is decent, if a bit bass heavy. But treble and mids are not compromised. – the price – while not exactly cheap, the price is fair for the premium quality of the speakers. The mediocre:- power saving – as other reviews have stated, these speakers have a power saving function which cannot be disabled.
PC speaker which high-quality audio performance with clear sound at any volume; 24 W peak/12 W RMS power and high drivers deliver balanced audio
Unpacking the speakers gave me one major cause for concern – the total lack of any meaningful instruction leaflet. Two speakers, bits of wire, and a plug. But it needn’t have been a concern. First because i managed to overlook that there are instructions on the box flaps, but secondly because i did not need even these as set-up is actually easy and obvious. Plug the two speakers together, plug in the power, press the bluetooth button that lights up, connect and… away you go. Connection was very easy and the speakers will even allow two connections at once, playing the first device to connect until it stops playing, then switching to the second. All of the controls are on the front of the right-hand speaker when you touch it – again very clever, very neat. I’d not great expert, but it has a depth and power that is excellent and exudes quality. Finally they tuck away so neatly that – until you turn them on (from your connected device) you probably would not even know they were there.
Much bigger than they looked but they sound excellent. Only issue is the volume buttons aren’t very responsive.
They were extremely easy to connect to my phone. Probably the easiest bluetooth speakers i’ve ever connected to date. I was playing music within less than a minute. Really good and easily worth the asking price. I have placed these inside my kitchen. They are clearly intended for a computer with the easily labelled ‘l’ and ‘r’. However i have decided that they will be great to cook to for the time being. It says that these are swipe activated. You wave your hand in front and the controls come up via a backlight. Again good for the kitchen as it means minimal touch with icky food hands.
The logitech mx sound bluetooth speakers premium design and sound, 24 w arrive nicely packaged and boxed for protection. The set up is straight forward i used a cable to connect the speakers to my computer i also synced this to my mobile phone. I am pleased with the design and quality of the speakers and visually they look very nice. I thought the speakers were heavy i. Not light weighing maybe around 1 kilo each. The sound of the two speakers i thought was very impressive, whilst not the deepest in bass sound or the highest in treble you good a very good mid-range. To obtain the deep bass your looking at adding a sub woofer, but for your desktop these server these speakers served well. The treble is bright and clean not the sharpest in high treble but then you would need to go considerably high in price to get that sort of sound response. The logitech mx sound is nice and clean with good separation of left and right channels with a good depth of audio sound field. At the current asking price i think your getting very good value for money and would not be disappointed in your purchase.
Intuitive control: Adjust the volume and pair Bluetooth devices with a light touch to the motion-activated, back-lit controls on the speaker front
