Libratone ZIPP Copenhagen Edition Wireless Speaker – Not cheap and am not too chirpy about it—but grew on me

The first thing you notice about the libratone zipp mini copenhagen edition speaker is the weight; this is a high quality, solidly built product. Taking the top off of the cylindrical box reveals the circular instruction booklet. Removing that uncovers the charger, the charging cable and the neat cable holder, all sitting in a polystyrene holder, which is also the top packing for the speaker. This fits so tightly into the box, that it took some time, and a screwdriver to extract it so the speaker can be removed. The speaker has a wool cover that zips onto the base. One cover is provided, but six colours are available. Before use, the speaker must be charged. The charger plug has two adapters, 2-pin or standard uk 3-pin; attach the appropriate adapter, plug in, attach the lead into the socket at the base of the speaker and switch on. The led blinks slowly and then stays on solidly when the speaker is fully charged. Remove the charger and press the power button for three seconds to switch on; connection to your device can be by wi-fi or bluetooth.

Now that the zipp has the new updated app software it is just about perfect. Not only does it look cool, have a great charge capacity and sound amazing, but it now operates even better than ever. Smooth, almost flawless, near 360 degree sound, with great bass, as well other sound levels and a lot of volume for such a relatively small unit. This is the best portable sound unit that i’ve ever owned by far.

I am struggling to express in words how this product makes me feel. I like to show them off to my friends and family. Check this out, look at what it can do. I would be embarrassed to say ‘i spent £200 odd on this’. It’s not that this is a bad speaker. The sound quality and loudness are fairly decent.

======edit : it has been nearly a week since i wrote the review below, and my opinions about the zipp mini are starting to shift. I still stand by what i said, and my four star rating still stands. My review describes the first few weeks of ownership. But i am going to add comments to my review if anything significant comes up. One significant change is that i am now seriously tempted to buy a second zipp mini. ======the zipp mini copenhagen edition arrives in a fabulous black and white box with silver trim. It looks like it might contain an expensive bottle of champagne. On the outside it says nothing about android. It has plenty of logos but you get a strong impression it only works with apple devices. Maybe that’s libratone’s target market – people who prize the look of things and a perception of quality, even if in reality this may be a slight fiction.

I use wireless speakers in various parts of my house (mission aero and cam audio minx 100/200). While this libratone doesn’t quite have the power and presence of those above it certainly punches above its weight as far as sound performance goes. It’s very light and portable however it seems to have a mind of its own with respect to bluetooth connection. This might be my laptop but its sitting right next to it right now with no sign of pairing even though the computer says its connected. I expect i’ll have to shut down the latter and reboot as that’s happened several times to date. Rather frustratingly there is nothing in the skimpy manual to tell you what’s going on and the limited speaker display is equally uncommunicative. When it does connect it seems to remain stable ok. There is the usual drop off in sound as compared to airplay but as soon as i connected using the latter the drop out was intolerable-probably because i’m a level up stairs from the virgin hub-your speaker will only be as good as your wireless signal strength. Its got a very prominent zip (rather than hide it they name the speaker after it) which means you can swap the ‘pepper black’’ cover for an alternative option—to my mind it looks more like washed out black sock which if you remove reveals cheapish plastic look.

I like this idea of taking a speaker to any location you want, its extremely heavy so probadly not good for carting around in your backpack for long but useful for the car. I can listen to things down stairs in my living room and then take it to the bedroom and plug my phone and internet radio etc in via bluetooth or wifi though i found the blue tooth the best method as its very easy to set up but the wifi i couldn’t get working after several attempts at trying to find the speaker etc hence only 4 stars. The sound quality is pretty decent clear highs and good decent bass for a single speaker this size. It dosen’t vibrate due to the rubber base. Its also pretty loud if you want to pump up the volume a bit. The usb socket lets you charge a phone especially if your listening to a lot of music on the go. Had it on an hour so far no need to re charge the speaker yet. You can of course just leave it plugged in to the mains if your at home for instance. Because of the aux 1/8 inch socket you can plug your laptop, phone, or anything else in. The app is just a let down as i can’t seem to get the wifi to work but the app is very basic anyway, its best to just use spotify, radio app and music apps using the bluetooth (or wifi if you get it working).

  • Stylish, Sturdy, Easy to use and excellent audio quality
  • very good sound quality
  • Newly to this technology

Easier to set up than anticipated, very good sound quality. Dial top control can give issues , but it’s a learning curve.

Great product , great sound.

The main benefit and attraction of the libratone zipp mini speaker is that it’s a portable wireless speaker of course, but when you’re relying on apps, wifi and bluetooth to set it up, you should be prepared for it being complicated and for things not to run terribly smoothly with your home setup. I’d also lower expectations as to how good sound you are going to get from this speaker, as it’s not as good as you might reasonably expect from a wireless speaker with a high-end price point and five-speaker driver specs. To get the libraphone up and running for a start, you’re going to need an iphone or an android device. When i tried to install the app from the playstore on my android asus tablet, it informed me that my system wasn’t compatible with the current version of the app, and offered no alternative. If you have other device options fair enough. If you don’t, you’re going to come unstuck at the first hurdle. I was able to download the app onto my android smartphone and followed the instructions, but was unable to make a connection to my home wifi. Every time it attempted to select and auto connect to the speaker, it dropped my 2g channel connection, leaving me with no internet to complete the operation. Manual connection was no better, just returning me to a loop of the ‘speaker found’ screen with choice of auto or manual connection. Searching through support on libratone’s website – the set-up booklet is very poor and of no help at all – it suggested another way to set up wifi connection from a windows pc connected to the broadband wifi router.

It’s small, portable and surprisingly has a lot of bass. Despite having a lot of bass everything is very clear not like other speakers out there. It’s fairly loud, definitely will get your neighbours attention. It has a built-in battery so you can move it around without worrying about wires or having to plug it in. The battery lasts about 8 hours on a full charge. You can connect to it using bluetooth or wifi. I used it with an android phone, iphone and my laptop and couldn’t notice any difference in the sound quality however the range is far better when on wifi. This depends on the range of your wifi router tho.

I bought this zipp mini instead of a regular bluetooth speaker due to the internet radio functionality. The long battery life and ability to save 6 preset stations make it great for taking into the garden, garage etc. Stations can be accessed without the need for s smart device. The app is free and easy to use. As well as station presets you can adjust the eq of the speaker to suit it’s positioning. The speaker looks awesome and feels like a really solid build. Every detail is considered right down to the packaging. Small things like a cable weight for the charger to prevent it falling down the back of a table was a great touch. It sounds great, clarity in the highs with rich warm bass for a speaker this size. The volume is more than enough to fill a decent size living room.

having used countless wireless speakers i was pretty keen to find out what made this one different from the others. Firstly we used this for a party which was excellent. The sound was great because it didn’t muffle as we turned it up full, it was easy to move – although we didn’t need to move it around to house because the sound travelled well. It was quick and easy to mute with the cool hand cover feature too. The battery life was great so we decided to take it with us when we went away for the weekend. The look of the speaker is great and i love the idea of the changes covers. We got asked lots to questions about the speaker as everyone seemed interest in our new gadgetthere are a few negatives. The instructions are so minimal when my speaker started to beep at me i had no idea why. I checked the battery level and that was fine but the speaker continues to beep. Also, its not the easiest speaker to connect to unless you have the app.

Really happy i spent much more than i normally do on a portable speaker. Audio quality – really impressive. I was obviously expecting this with the price i paid for it and also the size of the speaker. The clarity is second to none. Clear and crisp high frequencies and a warm, deep mid range. If i was going to be overly critical, the bass could be a little better, but it is something that most people would be more than happy with. Build quality / design – bit different to most speakers in the market. The shape allows a 360 sound which is really important for me. It is fairly bulky and heavy, but i like this, feels valuable and doesn’t move when playing at high volumes ( which a lot of speakers do ). The fabric cover over the drivers gives this speaker a point of difference and style.

It is the most i have ever spent on a treat for myself but it is worth every penny. It is so elegant, unique and just generally beautiful to look at and use. It is basically a small surround sound speaker. Wherever i am in my flat i can still hear my music perfectly. The sound is just out of this world, i have honestly never heard anything like it. I am not very technical and don’t understand all the numbers on the box (i. 3” neodynium woofer/ 60 watt total power, across 2 dsp enhanced amplifier channels/ 19v 1. 8a output) but i know that i’m hearing instruments in songs i never noticed before because every single note is so crystal clear.

The sound clarity is first class, controls simple and easy to use. All the advertised features worked first time, great product bit a bit pricey.

a compact, portable and highly impressive speaker. Really easy to setup – download the official app to setup the speaker on your home wi-fi network, or just connect via bluetooth. (or direct cable connection into the aux input) the benefit with connecting to your wi-fi is that anyone else on the network can easily connect to it. The app also has some nice eq presets to suit your environment, e. The outdoor preset to get a more punchy response. Overall very impressed with the sound quality and it certainly goes loud enough to use as a main speaker for a decent sized party, even if you’re out in the garden.

This a a fab speaker to position wherever you want in your house and take with you from room to room. Into the garden, garage, allotment, beach etc. The 360 degree surface ensures that unlike old school speakers, this gives you surround sound just using the one speaker. It can be turned up high for parties and still be as effective with no sound distortion. As i have a dab radio in the kitchen, i’ve tended to use this mainly for listening to music from my phone on. But the quality is hugely improved through it. The app was easy to download and use and the usb port is handy to be able to keep your phone charged if you’re streaming your tunes through it, not necessary if you’re indoors. But an added function for outdoor use. The volume control is elegant. All you need is a slight touch to turn the sound up or down or mute it. In reality though, i would be very unlikely to spend £250 on a speaker so for that alone i have deducted a star. However, if you like your music and can afford it, it’s a stylish addition to the home.

360 degrees FullRoom sound –

this beastie of a speaker certainly chucks out some quality sound but there’s so much more to tell you about it than that. I love the portability, with an 8 hour battery life it will be joining me on holiday, on my travels, around various rooms in the house and anywhere i need to keep my tunes. You can save 5 internet radio stations using an app which can then be selected with a touch of the control panel on the top, which also offers volume control, track skip and stereo pairing of another libratone speaker. I recorded a quick video comparing this to a sonos play3. My previous favorite speaker. The sonos is still a great speaker and after numerous tests i might even say has the better bass notes but when you add together all the other benefits of the zipp mini there’s no competition. . The zipp mini supports bluetooth streaming meaning i can play audio from any device playing any source. I am a big youtube fan and it has always frustrated me that i couldn’t play the sound through sonos. :d not to mention that the zipp can be battery powered, so it can come into the shower room or into the garden easier than running extension cables for the sonos.

First off, this looks great. And as others have said, it comes packaged stylishly also. It really does feel like an event to open, and it is a real pleasure to use, with lovely tactility and some fantastic on-off sounds. Compared to similarly priced speakers from bose or sony, this is just in a different class. I find myself sometimes judging its sonic performance harshly because it feels like it ought to cost 2-3 times as much. Even saying which, it does have a really nice sound. The treble and midrange are particularly sweet, and encourage listening at quite modest volumes for the sheer musicality of the experience, rather than at screaming rock levels. It does trip up a bit with particularly dense, bass heavy, mixes, sometimes becoming muddy and confused, and losing depth. This seems to be independent of volume, and appears to be a feature of the design, rather than limitation of the power or amplification. I would expect these might be lesser issues with the non-mini version, which isn’t a quantum more expensive, and which, if you have the space, would probably be worth a listen if you enjoy more rock/layered/dense music than vocal-driven or acoustic.

Libratone ONE Style Bluetooth Speaker : Great design and good sound

This is quite simply a solidly built and impressively sounding speaker with a handle so you can carry it around. It arrived really nicely packaged in a padded oval box which contained the speaker itself and a small manual and charging cable. It is simple to set up, but works better with the app (available for both apple and android) which means you can have a few radio stations and a facility to tweak the sound to your own preference. The 360 sound works well, giving great clarity and bass from such a (relatively) small speaker. The speaker is water resistant to a point but not suitable for taking into the shower with you and it has a nifty carrying handle to give you a nostalgic ‘ghetto blaster’ feel. The speaker has both bluetooth and aux connectivity and both produce quality sound.

This latest bluetooth speaker from the scandinavian maker libratone is certainly stylish, although the sample i received in caribbean green would not be my first choice of colour. It comes beautifully presented in a rounded box which reflects the contours of the product itself. It was fairly easy to set up, apart from the second phone i tried it on took several goes for no apparent reason. It is modular in approach in that different handles can be attached to the rubber / metal frame. The click has more options than the style in that respect. The sound compared to my bose mini (which costs about 10 quid more) was disappointing. Rather flat and lacking in bottom end when playing rock music. It also needs to be stood on its end to get the best out of the 360 sound projection. That makes it’s a bit unstable unless it is hanging, which i think is a weakness. However it seems stable enough even when played at high volume – no discernible movement, so full marks on that front – and it hasn’t fallen over yet.

The libratone is a great looking speaker with powerful sound and easy to charge with standard usb port. The material can get scuffed at the front which is a little annoying and the device itself is very heavy. But overall a great speaker.

For the sheer size of this unit it is very impressive. The bass is acceptable given its size but when you move away from it past a meter or so it’s fairly non bass music you’ll hear. It’s ideal to take anywhere with you and the battery is very long lasting, it came with 88% life in it and after 10 hours use required its first charge. Connecting the unit for the first time was a doddle via bluetooth and also easy using the libratone app for ios (even ios 10). Overall for the size this is very impressive, a bit more bass and this thing would be 5 stars.

Much larger and heavier than expected, however the sound on it is absolutely superb. Doesn’t go massively loud to where you can hear it three houses away but it’s loud enough and has a nice bass to where you can properly enjoy your tunes. Was a bit iffy to set up, there were instructions but nothing to explain about how to take the base off (basically the unit comes out separately from the sides. Basically had to figure it out myself. Usb plugs into the front, a small rubber cover hides the port. While it is somewhat portable, it is quite surprisingly heavy, but has a lovely solid feel about it. Looks very stylish and retro like and old radio-like. Would be very stylish in a kitchen on a shelf. Works wirelessly which is the best part, can take it outside to a shed without needing the plug in. Bluetooth on ipad found it easily as did the iphone.

The build quality is really impressive with a rubber top and fabric sides, its not the lightest of things but when the battery lasts around 10-12 hours and a decent speaker you can understand why. The packaging is exactly like an apple product and even the instructions come in a white little packet like an iphone. As far as connections go you have a micro usb slot to charge the thing and a 3. 5mm socket to connect if your device doesn’t have bluetooth. Connecting via bluetooth was easy, all i had to do was turn it on with the big button on the top and search for the device on my phone and click connect. Changing the volume on my phone would then be indicated around the power button with little leds showing you how loud it was. One other thing to mention is its got some really cool like sounds when you turn it off and on, sounds like a pod racer from star wars. My wife couldn’t connect with her phone via bluetooth but my phone did and they are the same phone so couldn’t figure that one out so she used the 3. One thing i found was the sound and mainly the base would change depending on what surface you sit the speaker on, sitting it on our wood floor would make the base sound louderwhen i 1st got the speaker i charged it to full and the battery has lasted a very long time so far, i would say well over 9-10 hours at a loud volume so very impressive.

Beautifully designed and simple to use, with a solid feel and high quality sound, almost an apple feel to it but slicker, a real conversation piece in the house. I hadn’t heard of the brand before but will buy again. And got a great price at £90.

If you can get past the ghastly colour (thankfully it is available in other colours), this is a good solid wireless bluetooth speaker. The sound is loud and very full, real hi-fi quality. It was also simple to set up; it paired immediately, and connected without a problem. It is an added bonus that the handle can be positioned in various ways; there are extra pieces in the package to assist in this. One slight drawback is that, unless you are using the hanndle to hang the speaker up, it needs to be balanced rather precariously on its side, to give the full benefit of the fine sound. Even the slightest knock or vibration is enough to topple the speaker, and block some of the sound source. However, on my third attempted use, none of my devices could find the speaker, even after re-booting the devices, and fully re-charging the speaker. I have tried again the next day, and still the speaker is totally invisible to all my other devices. I can see from other reviews that another reviewer has had the same problem.

I am extremely impressed with this speaker and so is my husband who took it away to ‘test’ it for me when it arrived and has so far made it a little difficult to get a look in with the speaker as he has been busy carrying this around the house with him and testing out different music and speaker sounds on it for the last week. We have so far used it as a speaker for just general music from both phones and tablets which it handles perfectly with a decent sound and bass coming from the speaker. We have also watched movies on this via a linked tablet and again the sound quality has been fine although i must admit i am no audiophile. We have the one style speaker and there also seems to be another two different speaker types on the same product page (one click and too) and so if you are reading through reviews it is best checking at the top of each review for the small writing that confirms which style the review is about. The one style comes with a fixed rubber handle that is big enough for fitting your hand through for carrying. The handle is not adjustable or removable and so it cannot be hooked onto anything like the one click style seems to have but for our purposes this is not an issue. The speaker is double sided which i was surprised about at first as other speakers we have had in the past have tended to be one sided but this does seem to spread the sound around better. The speaker is a lovely neutral grey colour and i was slightly worried when it first arrived as it seemed to suggest on the outer box that it had been designed specifically for use with a iphone or ipad which we do not use in our home. I can confirm that the speaker is bluetooth and so does work with bluetooth enabled devices and we have now tried it with 6 different bluetooth devices at home to check. A beautifully styled speaker with two-sided sound and the sound quality is perfectly fine for general use.

Libratone are onto a winner bluetooth speaker here. It’s packaged extremely well. Reminiscent of unboxing a new iphone. This copies the entire experience down to the minimalist user manual. However the boxing isn’t the only place it shines. The unit itself is a lovely fashionable green colour. I’m not a bright colour person, but i would have no issues turning up with this device under my arm. The unit itself is covered front and back in a nice caribbean green cloth. The outsides are a thick scratch resistant rubber. There is a touch sensitive button on one side of the speaker that you can use for volume control and play/pause.

Only states android and iphone on packaging, but works with my windows phone. Sound quality when playing music is epic. Sound quality when using interactive features over bluetooth (cortana) not so great. Sounds muffled and hard to understand. May just be the way the assistant works over bt but it loses a star for me. Was charged on opening, and lasted almost its full advertised time. And does feel rather light, so it really is ideal for travel usage.

Ever since a friend of mine turned up on a group holiday with a bluetooth splash-proof speaker, i have been on the lookout for something portable that also gives a lot of volume. The libratone one is perfect for this: it’s small and light enough to pack in a suitcase or in a bag for a day at the park, but big enough to fit a 3′ woofer and 1′ tweeter. Set up was incredibly easy; my partner and i were able to connect our phones at the same time really quickly with the touch of a bluetooth button. You can also set up the libratone as a trusted device, keeping your phone unlocked whenever it is connected to the speaker, perfect for easy access to podcasts and music players. The libratone app is free to install on apple and android devices and adds extra features, but isn’t essential. With the app you can vary the type of sound, so adjusting the soundscape for spoken word, classical music, pop and so on. You can also connect two speakers together via the app, but one speaker is good enough for me, as the sound it gives is perfect for use at home or in the garden. Podcasts come through clearly and music sounds vibrant and clear. There is a setting on the app to deal with music that is heavily compressed (so, in lower-quality mp3s for example). The design of the speaker itself is very clean, with minimal detailing and hidden connections for a small analogue jack and for the usb port for charging.

The marketplace is crammed with bluetooth speakers, but this one is a little different, built specifically for music on the go. The libertone one arrived in a simple white and minimal box, which is very apple-esque, an impression which is amplified by the similarly minimal instructions. Luckily the speaker almost sets up itself. It’s charged when you get it, switch on the power button and my ipad found the speaker instantly, there’s a double beep from the speaker, the single control button lights up and off you go. Volume is covered by a swipe of the control button, you can pause the sound with a single press and other than that the only gripe is that it took me a while to realise that the handles could be attached by removing the speaker surround to attach them – no instructions for that. As for the sound, it comes from both sides, so you will be standing it on end or using those handles, otherwise you are losing one of the key features. Sound is excellent, and for such a small box the sound really is impressive, and well up to the standard of the sonos speakers we have -plenty of clarity and depth even if it might not satisfy those who are addicted to bass. At £140 or thereabouts this is a very impressive unit, that can be used almost anywhere, because it’s splashproof and this has very wide appeal – by the way, the green version will not be to everyones taste, but it is easy to see.

I have the zipp mini from libratone so i’ll try not to compare it with this speaker as they are two different products. At £139, the one is quite expensive for what is essentially a bluetooth speaker. The presentation is brilliant. Strong solid box with usb charging cable, a strap, strap plugs and a hook which detaches at one side so it can be fixed onto say a bar or chair etc. It is easy to detach the covers and edge protection so you can fit all the accessories. There’s a quick start guide as well. The unit itself resembles the look of a book. The rear of the unit has a power switch and behind the rubber flap the usb charging port and headphone socket (3. On the front is a small touch sensitive panel.

Gives a good rounded bassy sound that is rich and not distorted. Its easy to pair with smartphones and tablet devices and set up is quick and easy. My only negative point is that its quite expensive, but i think you do pay for quality. The battery holds its charge well and it looks sophisticaed and smart and with the added bonus of it being splash-proof what more do you need.

Currently using it for my playstation via aux.

I love the sound quality, and my younger brother has been eyeing this up and saying how great it would be in his kitchen, so it isn’t just me. I think the price point is fair given the market and the quality of the sound. As another reviewer mentioned, it can be hard to get the bluetooth connection to work, but after some initial issues, this seems to have worked out just fine, but this is one of the reasons for 4 rather than 5 stars. Another slight issue, is that there is no carry case, apparently if you want to transport this safely you will need to do so in the original box, which isn’t massively bulky, i grant you, but still no the most efficient space-wise. Given the price point, and that other similar devices tend to come with a travel case, this does seem like an omission. But overall, very happy, and good value for money in my opinion.

This is a well-made, sturdy speaker. It’s easy to use straight out of the box and the bluetooth feature means no messing around with wires. I find the battery life more than adequate and i like that you can connect it, via bluetooth, to other speakers to create a bigger sound. It’s a very bright colour so might not be for everyone, but i quite like it. I can also verify the splashproof status – i took it on holiday with me and it got wet by the pool (i’m not that annoying person. It was a private villa haha) yet still works just fine. All in all i’d definitely recommend it, although it is a tad on the pricey side in my opinion so loses a star for that.

Apart from the price there is little i can fault this portable bluetooth speaker forthe sound quality is amazing. It has 360 degree full sound built in and noise reduction. . I have used it with both my iphone and ipad and it is easy to use – the instructions on set-up are easy to understand and operate one you have downloaded the app for your device. It is a handy size of about 12′ x 4′ and is not too heavy to carry around with you in a bag. Each charge lasts about 12 hours of continuous play although i have managed 14 so far without recharging. It would be great it if came with a plug charger rather than just a usb cable. The packaging is really good a strong white box that i am using to transport it in – and the speaker is solid and well constructed. I do thing it is slightly overpriced compared to other on the market at over £100. And a plug charger would be nice.

What a beautiful and versatile little speaker. It is packaged beautifully – very much like an apple device, with everything neat, tidy and organised – with clean lines and beautiful design. It links seamlessly by bluetooth to your device, whether it be tablet or mobile and, thanks to its downloadable app, it plays your music wherever you are – or allows you to talk on the phone. I love that aspect of it as it allows hands-free conversation and you can hear everything clearly. It works really well with my phone and my ipad and it is great to be able to access your playlists wherever you are – and share your music with your friends. I am no expert on speakers but i find the sound excellent and very clear. The options for hanging your speaker up are great as well – from the top with a hook or handle. My only issue – and it is the reason for the missing stars – is the difficulty involved in removing the pads (on side or top) – and replacing them with the fittings for the handle and/or the hook. It is, to be honest, a complete nightmare. I was afraid i might damage the unit trying to get them out (which ended up happening) but in the end i had to dig them out with a (blunt) knife and had a monster of a job getting them back in again.

As stated in the title the sound from this speaker is very clean and crisp compared to other bluetooth speakers i’ve used for around the same sort of price range. However i must point out that that the bass isn’t the best i’ve hear but from such a compact speaker it was never going to be too powerful. The fact that it gives a 360 degree sound output is nice, so it can be placed in the middle of a room and moving around the room won’t take away from the quality of sound you’re hearing. It was extremely easy to connect to my iphone, a lot easier than some speakers are and the touchpad volume control featuring the libratone logo is a nice touch that gives it a more expensive feel and appearance. The battery life could be better but it depends how high you have the volume but it’s always lasted fairly well for mei’d recommend one of these to any of my friends or family.

Libratone ONE Click Bluetooth Speaker – Brilliant device for its size!

Libratone one style wireless bluetooth speaker – cloudy greyin the box. The speaker comes in very stylish packing. The speaker is one of the best builds (without spending silly money) i have seen for some time. It has a degree of style with its understated design. Nothing what so ever to fault here. The drive units are twined so you get the sound in 360 degrees. It has a usb charging socket and a jack line in. These are push button on the top of the unit these are on and off, forward and backwards for song selection. Libratone have gone for quality in the design, everything about this speaker is nice, it feels good, looks good and sounds good. It has both bluetooth and wi-fi connection and it is very easy to setup.

Apparently i did not read the fine print well enough. These do not integrate at all with the libratone zipps we have. As i wanted that integration. Otherwise, solid piece of kit but nothing super special that would differentiate them from anything else out there in this category.

First impressions are good, the speaker design is appealing and it feels solid yet small enough to be truly portable. Set up is straight forward through a bluetooth connection so it should pose no problems to get up and running quickly. It is not a wifi speaker but it does have bluetooth +1 which allows you to pair it to another speaker for a stereo sound. The real test of a speaker isn’t the software, it isn’t the look and it isn’t ease of use, it’s all about the sound quality of the product. If a speaker was hard to set up, difficult to operate and ugly as sin and it produced audio perfection, no one would complain. This is 360 degree omni directional portable speaker, the design is such that the speakers inside point upwards and the sound is diffused all round by the plastic top cover. It works really well sit it in the middle of a room and walk round it and you will hear the same quality of sound in any place you stand. 5” drivers and a passive driver under the bonnet. The choice of surface you stand it on can have a surprising effect on the quality of sound.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this libratone one speaker as i have never heard of the company. But, i have wanted a speaker for my kitchen for a while and one that was portable to let me take out on family picnics etc. Whilst the weather has turned and the family days out will have to wait until next spring when the weather improves, this portable speaker was rather tempting so i gave it a go. I am not overly impressed with the colour but it isn’t so awful as to put me off. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all and in the end i was more interested in its audio performance. Out of the nicely designed box i switched on the unit and within 1 minute my ipod had found and paired with it. Suddenly it was producing music. I had the free app downloaded shortly after too, but was already listening to music at this point. I was taken aback by its performance. The bass is rich and deep and the units volume control (swipe with your finger to the right to increase volume, to the left to turn it down) was soon in use to see if i could sense any distortion.

Beautifully designed and simple to use, with a solid feel and high quality sound, almost an apple feel to it but slicker, a real conversation piece in the house. I hadn’t heard of the brand before but will buy again. And got a great price at £90.

  • A great looking speaker
  • Don’t integrate with Libratone Zipps
  • Neat and smart, a speaker with a great sound

I love it when it’s clear there’s been some thought put into how people will actually use a product. I’ve owned quite a few bluetooth speakers and none are as adaptable and utilitarian as the one click. First impressions:=============the packaging is simple and attractive. I usually hold onto the boxes of valuable electronic products in case i have to return or store them, so it’s always nice when they don’t take up too much space. The one click comes with a micro-usb cable, but no adapter, so you’ll have to use one from your phone or even plug it into a laptop/pc, which i expect would take a long time to charge the big battery in this speaker. The cable itself is braided and looks high quality. I’m glad it isn’t the newer usb-c standard, since i have a lot more micro-usb adapters lying around, which is important for a device that’s going to be used all over the housealso included are attachments for the lock and handles, which i’ll describe in more detail in the ‘use’ section. Design and build quality:===================i thought maybe the bird motif would be a bit too twee for me, but i find it charming. The speaker manages to look both tough and friendly, which a design language of rounded corners and generous plastic bumpers that seems like a mashup between appley-dieter rams minimalism and a toy intended for hard use by toddlers. That’s my kind of bluetooth speaker.

Currently using it for my playstation via aux.

Great sound, battery lasts forever and it’s beautifully made.

The libratone too bluetooth speaker is a compact little gem. It measures 8inx2inx2in and comes in a variety of colours. The one i received is graphite grey which is almost black, matt and pleasing to the eye. It is easy to set up and use with a touch button to control volume. It comes with a cable to connect it to a charging device but no charger. This may be a problem for some people but i just used my computer to charge it up which it did with no trouble. I’ve also used my kindle charger and this works perfectly well. I like the sound quality very much. It’s not terribly loud but it is clear and bass and treble were well balanced in the music i listened to (dylan, paul simon, fleetwood mac etc). I also listen to a lot of classical music and it did well with this too though was perhaps a little quieter than i am used to with my current main system.

High-quality 360 degrees sound

The design of this is fabulous – it looks classy and more expensive than it is. The build quality is solid and high-end. The packaging is apple style and it would make a terrific gift to an apple-style loving friend or relative. The sound is generally good in the higher end, and it really works well with a ipad (or any tablet but i tested it with the ipad) if you’re watching videos or catch up tv. Battery life is good, connection is a 2 second job. A couple of gripes one large and the others small. It doesn’t come with the charger it needs – it does come with a usb cable – but it states that it needs a specific 5v charger. It charged fine with my ipad charger but took ages longer than the specs suggest it would with the right charger. At over the £100 price point i feel it should have had the wall charger that they want you to use – it would only have cost a small amount to include it but costs far more to buy one separately and it’s very annoying and spoils the premium feel of it for me at least. The other small gripe, that may in fairness just be a personal preference is that it doesn’t do well in the lower bass registers so the sound on some films and all rock music is just.

I have been using this for a while and have found it excellent, a decent sound with plenty of volume and no distortion that i have heardheavy solid quality, very easy to set up, although to start with i couldn’t see how to turn it on, i read a couple of reviews and found out where the button was. Not obvious until you know where it is, and no mention of it on the very basic instructions, once up and running i loved itusing it with my htc10 i have found it most enjoyable playing music from my library and amazon radio stations, battery life has been good at around the stated 12hrsmine is a grey colour and looks quite nice, i would recommend this as the best i’ve seen or heard, and well worth the asking price, an excellent gift i would think.

I have used this speaker for a number of weeks now (i own the cloudy grey one style option), and i really do love it. The rubber has a lovely soft feel to it, and the fabric seems very durable. Overall, it feels like a very high quality item. Also, it has a good weight, without being too heavy. The sound quality is excellent (i also really like the 360 degrees reflector meaning the sound comes from both sides of the speaker). I haven’t downloaded the libratone app yet (however, i will, as i want to keep the firmware updated), so i am literally plugging it into my phone and playing music at the moment, with no fiddling with the sound. It’s very easy to connect to devices via bluetooth (i use it with my samsung galaxy phone), but if you don’t have bluetooth enabled devices, you can also connect it via an aux cable. I do think the sound quality is very slightly better if you connect the speaker to your device via an aux cable rather than using bluetooth, but i believe this to be the case with any bluetooth speaker (i use the anker 3. 5mm premium auxiliary audio cable (4ft / 1.

This slimline speaker is unassuming, you think something that small can’t produce a warm sound, nor cope on the louder settings without distortion or crackling, it’s just too small. We’ve had bluetooth speakers before from cheapy ones that are slightly tinny but ok for outside the home to an expensive ‘sound’ blaster that is great if you want bass but distorts as soon as you get a bit loud thanks to added bass. This is just frankly perfect and you don’t need two in the same room to get a full sound. The system has what it boasts a 360o surround sound and it’s true, i used this recently when decorating the house for christmas with my family and we moved the speaker a few times and no one could 100% tell (dad had a panic he’d knocked it over when he went to where he thought it was) as the sound threw around our open plan living space the same from each spot. The sound is rich and full even on ‘normal’ setting, interestingly it doesn’t start distorting as soon as you hit around 70% volume, it stays perfect crystal clea even on 100% which i found brilliant as none of our other speakers can manage that. The unit has an associated app (super easy- download, open whilst connected and set a password) which gives additional choices from easy listening soft mid ranges, live concert with boosted drum and bass to movies settings and clear voice for attaching when watching to programmes and several others slightly tweaked here and there. It was playing for 8 hours straight and only dropped 27%, i’m guessing with regular charging that may well drop over time but immediately it’s impressive. It charges via micro usb to usb, ok there’s no plug included but is it really necessary when very few people nowadays have no usb plug in their home for one device or another, and the person typical to buy this is unlikely to be a tech-phobic person as they would have to have a bluetooth enabled device to play itthis for us is great as we have too many usb plugs and also our cars like many modern ones have bluetooth ports meaning it can be charged when taking it out and about whilst driving to save ‘going dead’ when you have no access to a plug.

Bluetooth speakers are ten-a-penny these days, ranging from ones that cost a few pounds, to ones that are pretty expensive. In our house we use sonos speakers (which connect via wifi, not bluetooth), but we’ve wanted a decent bluetooth speaker to use when staying away. We’d seen libratone speakers in john lewis and thought they looked (and sounded) good, so we’ve given the libtratone one style speaker a go. Libtratone is a scandinavian company, and, as one might expect from a speaker from that part of the world the one style looks quite minimalistic and chic. It’s light grey, and comes with almost no visible sockets or buttons, just a rigid plastic hook on one corner that seems to flow out of the speaker’s surround. 5′ deep and, unusually, both sides (front and back) act as a speaker. This means that it is designed to be used when upright or hanging from the loop; if it’s laid down, you’ll lose much of the sound. There is a single power button that you use to turn the speaker on and off; there’s also a round button that you use to initiate pairing on your device, and to control volume. If you run your finger around the button, this activates little leds round the button, and you then run your finger round it again to turn the volume up or down.

Ultra compact, weather resistant design up to IPX4 –

Bluetooth speakers are a growing market these days and as the colour and shape of the libratone speaker proves, they really do come in all shapes and sizes. The initial colour and shape initially put me off when i first looked at this online, such is the flawed nature of internet shopping at times, however when i read the specifications i was impressed, when i received it, i was blown away. Whilst the speaker might be pricey, the sophisticated packaging really does sell this item as a speaker that is out of the norm. The speaker couldn’t be easier to setup, turn it on, and pair your device to it using bluetooth and that is itthe clarity of the music is absolutely crystal clear, i have product tested about 6 bluetooth speakers now and the clarity of this speaker is by far the best i have experienced. Not only does it sound crystal clear it also amplifies the sound. Often bluetooth speakers have a tendency to rely on too much bass, not to so with this product, just pure crystal clear music. You can also change the look of the speaker by adding handles to it. This is done by simply sliding off the outer rubber lip. Some of the panels can then easily be replaced so that a handle can be added to anyone of any 6 points.

A straightforward, easy to connect bluetooth speaker. Sound is really good – fills my kitchen easily. I suppose it’s not cheap but it feels really solid and long-lasting.

Superb sound quality and ease of use.

Stunning, brilliant, amazing soundthe packaging is elegant and very ‘apple-like’, inside the box is this substantial speaker with a wonderful soft surface – a rugged cloth similar to what you would expect on a traditional loudspeaker but much more robust, and a soft touch rubber edging. Underneath the speaker are the accessories – a usb cable for charging, and a carry handle. In the lid of the box are the simple instructions. Basically, this speaker ha a power switch, which you press and hold for a few seconds and a tone lets you know that the speaker is on. Then all the rest of the controls are on the other side of the speaker. Simply touch the round ‘bird’ button and the speaker can be found in the bluetooth menu of your phone or other audio device. A system of flashing led’s confirms this is working. Press play on your phone (or other device) and music is there. Simply run your finger around the bird control and a rotary set of led’s indicates the volume is going up – reverse to reduce volume. Compared with a bose speaker of more than twice the price, volume levels and sound quality are equivalent , only directionality is better with the bose – an issue which makes this model fantastic value for moneypress the power switch and the whole thing shuts down.

Having had the speaker that i used with my phone/ipod ‘borrowed’ by my son when he went back to uni this year, i was delighted to have the opportunity to test this. There are three different styles of libratone speakers – one click, one style and too. The one i received was one style, in cloudy grey, which is about the size of a clutch handbag, or radio. In design, this looks sleek and modern. Unlike the one click, which enables you to change the handle, the one style has a fixed handle. This is really a finger loop and you can only put it through the strap of a bag if you can undo the strap to link it through – obviously you can also hang it on a hook. The whole idea of this is that you can use it outside (it is splash proof, so ideal for by the beach or pool on holiday) and you can link up other speakers to get a sound system throughout your house, if you so wish. Most of these kind of speakers are cylindrical in shape, whereas this is more book shaped. The problem with this is that the base is not very wide, making it unsteady if you are out for a picnic and want to put it on the ground – although it is stable on a flat surface. It would be nice to put this flat, but obviously, if you do so, you are covering half of the speaker.

Built-in rechargeable batteries giving up to 12 hours playback

Neat and smart, a speaker with a great sound. I had to contact libratone in connection with a connection issue and was surprised and pleased about their quick and efficient response. Already considering another speaker.

Very attractive looking paperback sized speaker that both sounds good and looks good. The libratone one click is amazingly versatile as you can carry it, hang it, stand it or bag it. Its very well made and is nice and sturdy. The removable rubber surround gives addition protection against accidental bangs and drops, and the sockets and controls are also protected. It may be a little heavier than some mini bluetooth speakers but not much and the benefit is apparent in the superior sound quality. Particularly if you are using it outdoors. It was a doddle to connect via bluetooth. All my devices found it immediately and the additional phono input is a welcome feature too. I use mine for both music streaming and as a speaker for my mobile phone. So far the battery has not died on me during a day’s use (left on all day), and it is fully charged and ready to go again following an overnight recharge.

I have the graphite grey libratone too, and very impressive it is too. I’ve tried it with an iphone and an android phone, and connection to each was easy, with no subsequent problems such as dropped signal. The speaker looks great, having a very nice design and colour. About the size of a large pencil case, it easily fits on any book shelf, though would be too big and heavy to carry around in most pockets. It feels well made, and the rubber handle and port cover looks strong. You can control the volume from your phone, although the touch sensitive volume control on the speaker is too tempting not to play with. The speaker comes in a very stylish oval box, which includes a high-class usb charge cable. This instructions are minimal, but sufficient and very clear. Frankly, the speaker is sufficiently intuitive and simple to use without them. The sound of the speaker is very impressive.

This little bluetooth speaker is a great little product. It links easily to your iphone, is very compact, has decent sound quality (surprisingly good for its size) and is splash proof. The battery life is reasonable too. Mine is a dark grey colour which won’t show dirt too badly which is good as it has no protective case. It didn’t come with a usb charger either but it’s not really a problem as most people have several in their homes already. It would be ideal for a student at uni or a teenager. It comes in lovely packaging too – very slick and simple. Would be really fun to use camping or having a barbecue in your garden. It’s worth checking out similar products in this price range before you click the buy button – i would recommend the ue (ultimate ears) roll or the new roll 2 – these are completely waterproof, sound jaw droppingly good for the size and has very funky styling. It’s a little cheaper too i believe.

Play/pause tracks, answer calls and pump up the volume at the touch of a button

Firstly this product is packaged very well, has a very much apple feel about it. I wasn’t familiar with the libratone brand therefore i wasn’t sure what to expect. The design is very modern and stylish. I am not sure about the carry handle feature. When is comes to sound i was pleasantry surprised. Having only had bose before i was comparing to this and there is not too much of a difference, i think the bose has a little strong base. The libratone is easy to set up and connect, with a nice dial/touch pad feature on the actual speak to pause, amend volume and answer calls. Overall it looks great and would buy the libratone brand again.

This is a smart-looking, splashproof speaker although i worry that the cover could get grubby (best go for the black version?). Inside, there’s an 80mmm woofer, 30mm tweeter and passive driver. It sounds good, certainly up there among the best i’ve tried at the price. There’s plenty of detail and separation, with decent weight and richness to the bass and crisp, clear treble, although i’m a little less sure about the mid-range. Vocals are natural and there’s all the volume most people will want. You can pair it with two devices and fight over who gets to control it. And apparently you can pair two speakers with one device, for stereo sound or to have two speakers playing the same material. There’s a microphone, in case you want to use this as a speakerphone, and a 3. I’ve only run this for about 8 hours, so far, but it hasn’t needed a recharge (micro usb) which makes the claimed 12-hour life seem plausible.

This feels right, looks right and sounds amazing due to speakers on both sides. The claim that the sound fills a room really is true and full volume is as loud as it can be without distortion. Due to the weight of the speaker there does not seem to be much vibration and the bass and treble range is hugely impressive (as good as my bose soundlink mini). Probably too easy as no security code was required from either device (am i missing something or could someone close-by pair with the speaker without permission?). There is the option to attach a sturdy strap or loop which involves removing the band and inserting the attachment. Took me a while to figure this out as there are no instructions in the box other than those that tell you how to connect via bluetooth. Common sense got there in the end.

This is just a beautiful product – seriously stunning looking. A huge amount of bass gets pumped out of this baby. While i’m not a bass ‘n’ beats kind of guy, it adds serious weight and gravitas to any style of music. The mids are very satisfying too (no mud) and there is enough sparkle in the top to make for a smooth, refined listen. Set up is super easy and you can tune the sound to your hearts design within the accompanying app, which is a nice enough feature. That rubber strap makes it easy to carry wherever you need your sounds and the splashproof design means i can listen to the radio in the bathroom very happily. In terms of design aesthetic, build and overall audio quality at least, i’d say sonos should be looking nervously over its shoulder. I have a few different wireless/bluetooth speakers (from sonos, sony, panasonic and bose) in the house and for the price, this beats all the rest of them hands down.

These speakers are ok – good sound quality, 10-12 hours of playback. . However, to describe it as ‘ultra portable’ is a bit of a stretch, in my opinion, when you consider that anker have a couple of speakers that are smaller than this. Not to mention a lot, lot cheaper. In the box itself, you get the speaker, a strap and ‘padlock’ style loop (so you can hang the speaker on almost anything – see the promotional video) and a charging cable. Considering the cost of this though, i was expecting a charger too. Connecting directly via bluetooth was simple, and i did not have any issues connecting via the app; but the reviews in the google play store would suggest that most people have had issues using it. You can change the volume using the touch-sensitive pad on the speaker or via the app. The touch-pad reacts well, as does control via the app. But sound – features aside, that is what a speaker is really about.

I really like this item and in terms of quality of sound, portability and ease of set up, this is a five star item, however, compared to some of the competition, even allowing for the build quality and sound rendition, it could be a little more affordable. 00 as at 17th october 2016)i received the too variant in grey and it now sits on my bedside table. I generally use it for linking into my blackberry passport via bluetooth (so easy to set up) my new kindle fire 8′ or my ageing ipad 2; there is a libratone app for both android and apple appliances and i have tested both and they are easy to set up and use. Sound is the key element to consider i suppose and in this case, i found the sound rendition to be very good and well up to the standard of a similar product we have purchased from teveco, which is not as well made but is over £60. There is no question that the libratone is a better made item, but sound quality is very similar. What the libratone has in its favour is that you can actually link two items together, therefore you can have the playing back the same sounds in more than one room; whether that would be useful for most people i am not sure, particularly as this is a portable item. Part of the reason that i have deducted a star is that the too comes without a charger; it does have a cable with a micro usb cable and the instructions state that a ‘good’ 5v usb charger is required to charge the item. Whilst i don’t need yet another charger, i have numerous chargers which have an output of circa 5v, but they all have a different output.

The libratone is a great looking speaker with powerful sound and easy to charge with standard usb port. The material can get scuffed at the front which is a little annoying and the device itself is very heavy. But overall a great speaker.

Really superb sound quality – i have heard things on some tracks that were not apparent on other quality bluetooth speakers. However i have some reservations about the so called 360 degree surround sound aspect but this is not really important to me. All in all, plenty of good quality sound from a small package. Well worth a try especially at some of the bargain prices available at the moment.

I have been really impressed with this speaker. It comes in a well designed box and includes a smart good length usb cable. It doesn’t have a charger but i have so many anyway it hardly matters. Size wise, see picture where i have put it next to a teaspoon for scale. It’s easy to pair and can also be paired with two phones – which makes sharing easier. Sound quality is excellent with sound coming out from both sides – it’s for the middle of a room or group not the sides. Volume goes to a high level without distortion. Battery life is also excellent. The app gives additional information, allows firmware updates and includes some limited equaliser settings. Frustratingly you have to register to use the app.

Libratone One Click Wireless Splash Proof Bluetooth Speaker – Graphite Grey : TOO – Portable, easy to use, good sound.

What a beautiful and versatile little speaker. It is packaged beautifully – very much like an apple device, with everything neat, tidy and organised – with clean lines and beautiful design.

A straightforward, easy to connect bluetooth speaker. Sound is really good – fills my kitchen easily. I suppose it’s not cheap but it feels really solid and long-lasting.

Currently using it for my playstation via aux.

Powerful for its size – the modern equivalent of walking round the park with a boom box (this shows my age). A strong clear sound and rounded tone. Walked several metres away and the bluetooth still connected.

Libratone TOO Wireless Splash Proof Bluetooth Speaker – Cloudy Grey – High quality design but very expensive for a portable speaker.

A straightforward, easy to connect bluetooth speaker. Sound is really good – fills my kitchen easily. I suppose it’s not cheap but it feels really solid and long-lasting.

  • Don’t integrate with Libratone Zipps
  • Neat and smart, a speaker with a great sound
  • Slick, simple,.powerful and elegant.

Beautifully designed and simple to use, with a solid feel and high quality sound, almost an apple feel to it but slicker, a real conversation piece in the house. I hadn’t heard of the brand before but will buy again. And got a great price at £90.

Superb sound quality and ease of use.

Currently using it for my playstation via aux.

High-quality 360 degrees sound

Powerful for its size – the modern equivalent of walking round the park with a boom box (this shows my age). A strong clear sound and rounded tone. Walked several metres away and the bluetooth still connected.

Ultra compact, weather resistant design up to IPX4 –

Great sound, battery lasts forever and it’s beautifully made.

Apparently i did not read the fine print well enough. These do not integrate at all with the libratone zipps we have. As i wanted that integration. Otherwise, solid piece of kit but nothing super special that would differentiate them from anything else out there in this category.

Built-in rechargeable batteries giving up to 12 hours playback

For the sheer size of this unit it is very impressive. The bass is acceptable given its size but when you move away from it past a meter or so it’s fairly non bass music you’ll hear. It’s ideal to take anywhere with you and the battery is very long lasting, it came with 88% life in it and after 10 hours use required its first charge. Connecting the unit for the first time was a doddle via bluetooth and also easy using the libratone app for ios (even ios 10). Overall for the size this is very impressive, a bit more bass and this thing would be 5 stars.

Play/pause tracks, answer calls and pump up the volume at the touch of a button

Neat and smart, a speaker with a great sound. I had to contact libratone in connection with a connection issue and was surprised and pleased about their quick and efficient response. Already considering another speaker.

Libratone Zipp Wireless Speaker – Excellent speaker

I have put off purchasing a battery powered speaker for several years. Every summer i research what’s available and think on. I had almost decided on the b&o ‘battery box’, even thought it only had bluetooth and aux in. Thankfully, i looked again and stumbled across the libratone zipp. All i can say is if i hadn’t i don’t think i would be sitting in the garden listening to a perfectly good airplay rendition of a hires album served up by roon. In other words – a fancy music server converting a 24bit 96khz album and serving it to the zipp via airplay after having processed it down to 16bit and 44. That still annoys me – i wish libratone would deal with higher rates, but even over dlna (via qobuz) i found that it all gets down sampled to 16bit 44. Don’t know if airplay 2 will bring any change to this. But even with this i find that room plays very nicely with the libratone. Enough to say that i have found that the best tonal quality is without an of the dsp effects within libratone ie opting for the flat response. This is always a sign that the audio equipment is good quality. Forget bluetooth – it’s a pain in the rear and best left for hands free calling in the car.

Very pleased with the speaker itself, it creates a good sound with plenty of volume and decent bass. The portability of the speaker is a particularly nice feature, you can simply unplug it and move it to wherever you want to listen. The app that is required to setup / manage the speaker / settings is very poor. I had all sorts of problems getting the app on my android phone to connect and stay connected to the speaker. I eventually got it working by reference to the online help and libratone support, turns out the app is very fussy about the wifi settings. Be prepared to have to adjust settings on your router to get it to work. Once connected the app is ok and having done the setup you don’t generally need to use it much.

I bought this speaker as a replacement to our normal fm kitchen radio. It is obviously more expensive than a radio, but was recommended this speaker by a work colleague. This product was a good buy and mostly simple to use. It is best setup from an android device to get it working on your home wifi and once setup can stream internet radio opening up a wealth of stations. It can also bluetooth music and has a nice intuitive touch controller. But the biggest plus point is its sound – wow. Nice and clear with perfect bass. For a single speaker, it provides a well rounded sound, filling the space nicely in all rooms including the kitchen, bathroom, lounge and garden open spaces.

Great to carry to dance class. Good volume and clear music. I plug mine in to mains and use my ipod on bluetooth. It has lots of other uses but i haven,t tried them. Well wrapped and informed the day of delivery.

I was lucky to get this at a bargain price (only a tiny bit more than the mini) but i would not have been disappointed if i had had to pay more.

Clear sound in the round listening to radio or itunes music. Henry purcell sounds fabulous on this, baritones, tenor and soprano quite clear and full.

  • Good Speaker, Poor App

Impressive sound from such a small device. The 360 firing speakers help fill a fair sized living room quite easily. No distortion at high volumes. Balanced sound which is what i prefer so maybe not best option for bass heads. Easy to connect via bluetooth and wi-fi.

I’ve had this speaker for about a month now and i am completely happy with it. The sound sound quality is great – it is noticeably better if the app is used to specify where the speaker is (for e. Shelf) and also to change the voice to suit the listening mode (for e. The ability to play my favorite stations without my phone is really nice. I also love the mute function which works exactly like the video. The battery life is as advertised. I did a lot of research on speakers before buying these and i am not disappointed with any aspect of this speaker. I am planning to get a second one and pair and use them as a sound bar for my tv.

This is without doubt one of the best speakers i have heard for clarity and portability, there are louder speakers out there but how loud do you need it, this fills a large party room easily and is crystal clear.

It has a great sound, we have it attached to a tv. It can be very loud and doesn’t seem to distort the sound when turned up. Looks good and my hubby is happy with it. 4 stars only because i personally find it hard to use and sometimes my hubby can’t get it to work and it needs to be turned off and started again.

👍👍👍👍👍 superb 👍👍👍👍👍.

These speakers are excellent.

These speakers are so good i have now bought two of them and get beautiful stereo sound when linked.

Wifi is the way to go – no more connectivity issues if you dare to move too far from the source. This thing is superb, puts out a high quality sound at high volume with decent bass. Far better than the ue offerings and amazing value for money given the quality and watts. You can link up to 7 together and i am planning an expansion. It is quite heavy for it’s size so not something you’d leave the house with regularly so be sure to read the dimensions / weight before deciding if this is for you. For plonking down around the house / garden/ car / friends house it is fab. Absolutely delighted with this kit. I am quite hard to please (polite version) and yet here i am taking the time for once to post a review.

I bought this item for my daughter’s party but tried to cancel it but amazon sent it anyway so i decided to trial it. The sound from that little thing is impressive. Even my wife who was negative about me buying a speaker was surprised and now wants to buy her brother one for christmas.

Great sounds indeed and it feels so much better in the hand than some of the other products available on the market. Have since bought another to pair with this in the lounge. The sound is amazing and so easy to pair as left and right speakers or to unpair and use anywhere.

Great sound, very contemporary modern looking. Get 2 different coloured covers. Easy to change and perfect tight fit. I would strongly recommend the larger unit zipp over the mini zip (i have both) as it is more of a statement, and actually not that much larger. Splash out on the leather handle for that added touch of difference. (promise i’m not a rep for them).

Fully portable with built in re-chargeable batteries giving 10+ hours of battery life –

This ticked all the boxes for my requirements, have a couple issues tho hence no 5 stars. These are not possible to turn radio to off without turning off device. Also managed to get into setup mode by mistake, should be harder to do this,.

Really impressed with the sound and construction of this product. Connected to my iphone, ipad and amazon echo dot with no problems.

I have a few wireless speakers, including a sonos play 3, but the libratone zipp really does pack a big punch for the price. The support for this speaker by libratone can’t be faulted, as over the time i have owned it quite a few firmware updates have been made available, each enhancing the unit. The biggest was in march 2017 which reduced the startup time from over 30 seconds to under 10 seconds. It also added a standby sleep function to reduce power consumption. The already long list of supported functions will be increased towards the end of 2017 or the beginning of 2018 with the addition of amazon alexa and apple airplay 2. This will really place the zipp at the top of the pile when it comes to wireless speakers. I know sonos will be adding alexa support to existing speakers but only via the alexa app or an echo dot. If they update the existing lineup to include airplay 2 then it would be a tight race, providing you did not want battery portabilityfor android and windows fans the sonos may offer a better route, as long as you accept the limitations but for apple and mac users the libratone zipp is hard to beat due to the simplicity of airplay and the fact you can stream anything. One plus point of the zipp over sonos is the fact you can preset up to 5 internet radio stations or spotify playlists that can be selected from the speaker without any need to use an app. This can be a great feature for a kitchen speaker when you don’t have a phone or tablet to hand.

Very nice piece of kit, good sound, easy to set up for both bluetooth and wifi. The recommended app is a bit fiddly but seems to resolve all issues. It is no way near as good as my naim muso, but it also no way near as expensive. I would recommend this product.

Very pleased by my purchase. If i could ask for something more, that would be a little more volume under certain circumstances, but if that was going to be in the expense of distortion, then i am satisfied with what i am getting.

Connect via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplay and Spotify

Good sound quality and excellent simple functionality. I stream spotify connect, push bluetooth/airplay sound and use the 5 presets to store internet radio stations and spotify playlists. I use it in the kitchen and bathroom mainly, no issues with condensation,no other wireless battery powered speaker has more features and better functionality that the zipp. I would have preferred a standard usb 3. I would also have preferred more sensitive volume control at lower listening levels. The speaker volume can be turned up very loud, but i don’t think many people would buy this for a lounge or house party filling capacity.

Opted for this after much research, seemed to be the best option for a cord free speaker with airplay. This speaker is of high quality and is solidly built. The sound is great including the bass with no distortion even at high volumes. The setup of the speaker and airplay via the app was fiddly initially, it sometimes forgets the speaker meaning having to go through setup a few times but is happening less now. Overall happy with this purchase.

Impressive sound and versatile aswell. Works just fine with an android phone too.

Fabulous sound, great wifi reception throughout our home, simple to set up on all phones (android or iphone). We now have access to all the music stored on our computer from every room in the house.

This has totally changed how i listen to music at home. The sound quality is great and the portability is a huge bonus. Whereas we used to just play cds or stream spotify via our crappy little phone speakers, we now have a house filled with music.

The quality is very good but above all the sound is excellent. The customer services is also very good as i needed there help. If you buy it, you will not regret.

Excellent product, not disappointed at all and will look to bye more to add to the range.

Link your Zipp or Zipp Mini’s together to create a distinct, flexible multi-room listening experience

Really amazing sound, bass, design, versatility.

Superbe enceinte acheté à un super prix . Uk très bon son et facilité d’utilisation. Le airplay est vraiment un plus.

Would have rated 5 star but with an existing n300 router performance was not great and need to uprate my router to a dual band ac1900.

So suprised not more reviews about how amazing this product is. Sooo much better the the sonos i had and you can play any music app including you tube on it. Best buy and came much quicker that stated.

Like everything about this device however the bass can be bloomy depending on location relative to walls and also solidity of what it is placed on. Works better when sitting on isolation cones.

Excellent speaker, i have also now ordered zipp mini. Just take time to set it up. If you have any questions suggest don’t use the app support but you go to libratone. Com support site, i received a quick response.

Libratone’s biggest speaker featuring award winning signature sound that delivers deep bass, full midrange and crisp highs

I have bought cheaper bluetooth speakers in the past and have always been disappointed. Not so with the libratone mini, the sound quality is good without being tinny. I used the equaliser in my smart phone to adjust tone and this worked well. Thinking about buying more units to link up when the pennies allow.

Great sound and audio quality.

As good as i had thought of. Amazing sound and brilliant ease of use.

Nice design, sound could have been better.

She loves it & it’s in constant use.

Bought this to play music from my laptop. Shame the app only works from a mobile phone but this was only a minor irritation.

Easy to set up, app works well, and works seamlessly with spotify connect. Bluetooth works great as well. Sounds really nice, i don’t imagine you’d get a much better sound for something of this price and size. When i was looking for a speaker i didn’t really care about it being portable or not, but i’m really glad i went for this as i’m always moving it round the house, and the battery life is ample. I saw some reviews before i bought it about the app not being great and the on-device controls being fiddly and unresponsive, but i have had no problems with this at all, so i think these problems have been ironed out, and clearly libratone have great customer support as i can see their replies to the bad comments on amazon.

Sound, user interface and designif i could i would give it 10 stars.

Libratone Zipp Wireless Speaker – Five Stars

This has totally changed how i listen to music at home. The sound quality is great and the portability is a huge bonus. Whereas we used to just play cds or stream spotify via our crappy little phone speakers, we now have a house filled with music.

Great sounds indeed and it feels so much better in the hand than some of the other products available on the market. Have since bought another to pair with this in the lounge. The sound is amazing and so easy to pair as left and right speakers or to unpair and use anywhere.

Clear sound in the round listening to radio or itunes music. Henry purcell sounds fabulous on this, baritones, tenor and soprano quite clear and full.

I was lucky to get this at a bargain price (only a tiny bit more than the mini) but i would not have been disappointed if i had had to pay more.

I bought this item for my daughter’s party but tried to cancel it but amazon sent it anyway so i decided to trial it. The sound from that little thing is impressive. Even my wife who was negative about me buying a speaker was surprised and now wants to buy her brother one for christmas.

As good as i had thought of. Amazing sound and brilliant ease of use.

Fully portable with built in re-chargeable batteries giving 10+ hours of battery life –

I have bought cheaper bluetooth speakers in the past and have always been disappointed. Not so with the libratone mini, the sound quality is good without being tinny. I used the equaliser in my smart phone to adjust tone and this worked well. Thinking about buying more units to link up when the pennies allow.

Nice design, sound could have been better.

Great sound and audio quality.

Fabulous sound, great wifi reception throughout our home, simple to set up on all phones (android or iphone). We now have access to all the music stored on our computer from every room in the house.

She loves it & it’s in constant use.

Connect via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplay and Spotify

Excellent product, not disappointed at all and will look to bye more to add to the range.

Impressive sound from such a small device. The 360 firing speakers help fill a fair sized living room quite easily. No distortion at high volumes. Balanced sound which is what i prefer so maybe not best option for bass heads. Easy to connect via bluetooth and wi-fi.

These speakers are so good i have now bought two of them and get beautiful stereo sound when linked.

Excellent speaker, i have also now ordered zipp mini. Just take time to set it up. If you have any questions suggest don’t use the app support but you go to libratone. Com support site, i received a quick response.

Link your Zipp or Zipp Mini’s together to create a distinct, flexible multi-room listening experience

Superbe enceinte acheté à un super prix . Uk très bon son et facilité d’utilisation. Le airplay est vraiment un plus.

Very pleased by my purchase. If i could ask for something more, that would be a little more volume under certain circumstances, but if that was going to be in the expense of distortion, then i am satisfied with what i am getting.

So suprised not more reviews about how amazing this product is. Sooo much better the the sonos i had and you can play any music app including you tube on it. Best buy and came much quicker that stated.

These speakers are excellent.

This is without doubt one of the best speakers i have heard for clarity and portability, there are louder speakers out there but how loud do you need it, this fills a large party room easily and is crystal clear.

I have bought cheaper bluetooth speakers in the past and have always been disappointed. Not so with the libratone mini, the sound quality is good without being tinny. Really amazing sound, bass, design, versatility.

Great to carry to dance class. Good volume and clear music. I plug mine in to mains and use my ipod on bluetooth. It has lots of other uses but i haven,t tried them. Well wrapped and informed the day of delivery.

This ticked all the boxes for my requirements, have a couple issues tho hence no 5 stars. These are not possible to turn radio to off without turning off device. Also managed to get into setup mode by mistake, should be harder to do this,.
