Jam Audio Reload – Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Excellent volume and clarity from such a small device

This is a nice little speaker and great value for the price. It’s really easy to set up and use and doesn’t take up much space so it would be useful to take on your travels. Sound quality is good and although it’s not the loudest it copes admirably at higher sound levels given its diminutive size. The only downside i found was that the extremely short charging lead that comes with the speaker. This is a little annoying, but it’s just a standard mini-usb cable, so most people will have lots of others that they can use instead. Overall, a high-quality speaker in a small package that packs a fairly big punch.

Considering the size of this speaker, about the size of an apple, the sound quality is good. Very good high and mid range, with an acceptable bass which can be improved a little depending which surface you place the speaker on. It is loud enough to fill a bedroom or for background in an office, but would struggle outdoors. The instructions are in picture format, but reasonably easy to understand. The device is easy to use, with voice prompts and flashing leds. A play / pause / answer phone button is on the front of the speaker along with volume up and down. The microphone works well for hands free calling. At five hours the battery life is almost good enough to last a whole day. It pairs very quickly and reliably with my samsung phone. I now have this permanently on my desk as the sound quality is head and shoulders above that from the speaker on my phone.

Lovely size and not bad volume.

Great when small gathering around, when i away weekend, lovely sound.

If only all technology was this simple to use…charge it up, switch it on, bluetooth the music over, and adjust volume. The only down side is i wish there could be more bass (i have a smaller speaker, not bluetooth, that gives better bass so it’s not the size that’s an issue) as it’s a bit light and some music is a bit tinny but when weighed up against all the positives e. I can bluetooth from my pc and easily pick up in any room in my flat, then this is worth its 5 stars (can’t give a 4. A well-thought out highly portable little speaker.

  • FAB little speaker.
  • GOOD BUY AT THE TIME AND GOOD PRODUCT
  • FANTASTIC product

Sounds great i use it when watching amazon prime on my i pad.

I’ve had a few portable speakers in my time, but this holds the record for easy pairing. It must have taken me all of 20 seconds from box to play, with no need to read the instructions. There’s a big on/off button at the bottom of the unit, and play/pause and volume buttons on the side – these are flush to the unit, so it’s a really neat little thingit’s not big, so if you’re expecting big sound you won’t get it. However, for an uber portable player – great for sitting outdoors with a few mates, or just reading the paper. It does what it says on the tin. That said, the sound is pretty good – i turned it up fairly high and didn’t notice any distortion. I can see myself using this on a fairly regular basis.

A very useful little speaker at a good price.

This us the second one we bought. For the price it can not be beaten.

This is so coolthis will have great appeal for young people and teenagers. Comes in a jar with a lid for storage and protection. I see what they’ve done here). Now this is actually quite a good idea because mini speakers usually come with a soft cover case (or no case) and they don’t really offer much protection. The jar with lid means you can also store the charging cable safely too. The on/off button is underneath the speaker and you just hold this for about four seconds, and it switches on and start searching for your bluetooth device. Simply enable your mobile device to pair, and you’re away. To get the best from this you need to place the speaker on a hard surface which improves sound quality.

This speaker is good value at just over £10 as it gives a decent sound, is well built, and has a fairly good (4-5 hours) battery life. The sound quality is good, but not very loud, so better for smaller rooms and quieter gatherings. It certainly isn’t a speaker that is going to pump out music at a party level. The battery life is around 4-5 hours, depending on the volume that you use. The speaker looks good and feels like it will last and could take some punishment. This one has already been knocked off tables and dropped, and still works great. If you’re looking for a cheap speaker that has decent sound, battery, and durability, then i would definitely recommend this one.

I’ve previously used portable speakers that connect using the headphone jack on my iphone and ipod but decided to give this a go, my first bluetooth device. I use an ipod classic so no bluetooth so i’ll have to upstill use a wired connection for that. However, for my iphone it works a treat. The bluetooth pairing is easy and charging through the supplied cable is equally easy and takes just over a couple of hours to fully charge. I’ve used it so far in the bathroom (with the shower running) and my office and it works well in both. Sound quality and levels are pretty good, especially considering you are paying until £20. It comes in a hard plastic dome case that you can use as a carry case if you are on the move a lot. You can buy separate soft cloth carry bags but they wouldn’t give the same protection. It’s a stylist bit of kit too both in terms of colour and overall design. I can’t fault this speaker and for that price it is great value for money.

Great little speaker, ideal for travelling.

Jam is a really good producer of speakers having purchased one in the past and been highly satisfied withit’s performance and durability. Initially, in line with the instructions, i charged it up using a spare port in my computer. It mentions threehours in the guidance, but my charging light went out after two hours. On test this model, the hx-p251bl-eu audio reload bluetooth proved to be an absolute cracker. Thequality of the speaker including it’s tone is clear and distinct. It’s robust too, so easy to take with you and it comes with it’s own charging cable -neatly blue to matchthe speaker. Pairing with devices is simple, quick and efficient. I have paired it with smartphone, iphone , ipad, andmy imac -so it is useful and adaptable for all manner of situations. Fits perfectly into my travelbag and suitcase. So, without hesitation a recommend.

And really amazing for the price. Battery life is good and so far i’m enjoying using the speaker.

The jam portable speaker is certainly fit for purpose and very affordable. Currently priced at a very reasonable £19. 99 it is definitely worth the money, having a very substantial battery life of five hours and it can easily fit in your pocket. It’s maximum volume is reasonable for its size and it still manages to retain a crisp clear sound. It is not muffled or drowned out by bass at maximum volume and if used in an outdoor setting it can be heard clearly a good 15 metres away. It’s charger is very small which is my only criticism, however it is charged using a standard android/sony cable which most people will have access to. It can be stored in it`s protective container when not in use and comes with very comprehensive instructions. It can connect via an aux cable and bluetooth. There was no issue with connecting and the bluetooth connection was very quick. All in all, a great mini speaker.

Bluetooth: Connect hundreds of devices and take your music on-the-go

This is a really good lower-end bluetooth speaker. It comes really well-presented in what looks like a jam-jar (quite apt, given that the speaker is made by jam), and is about four inches high, three inches across. Pairing is easy – hold the button on the bottom of the speaker for four seconds, and then it’s there to pair with on your handheld device, in my case an iphone. Once in use, the sound is really good, and a lot better and clearer than you’d normally expect from a speaker at this level. I’ve knocked a star off because it takes a quite a while to charge (three hours), but other than that, it’s a really good lower-end speaker.

This jam audio reload bluetooth speaker comes in an actual replica jam jar, which is a quirky touch for a product that is far more powerful and far better than the cost would indicate. At under £20, i wasn’t expecting much, so hooked this up to my iphone using bluetooth – really easy to pair as you’d expect – and then played some tracks through spotify. The volume, clarity, bass and treble all sounded fantastic, and way better than the size would indicate. It charges very quickly – around 3 or so hours – and is very easy to use and store.

Pros:excellent sound quality at this pricelooks a lot more expensive than it is. Easy pairing with your phonecons:3 hours to chargefirst impression:i was lucky enough to get this speaker free of charge for an honest review, so didn’t know the price when i tested it. I was expecting that it would be much much more than £19. 99 based on the really good sound quality. This is so much better than my previous tiny speaker. It looks and feels of good quality and has an impressive weight. Included:it comes in a hard plastic case which would be useful to keep for storage of the speaker and for transporting it safely. It also comes with a usb charge lead and a round protective disc which covers the on/off switch in the base. Controls:the controls are very subtle and don’t spoil the look.

Quite a good little speaker for the price. I wasn’t expecting much to be honest and this little gem far surpassed my expectations. It’s looks good and feels good in your hands. Much nicer quality than i was expecting and doesn’t sound too bad either. Quite small in size so it’s nice and lightweight making it extremely portable. I comes with a nice little container so is also nice and easy to store and take around with you if needs be. I have it paired to my iphone 6 and there were no problems there. I’ve been using it to blast my music while pounding on the treadmill at home. Usually it’s really boring but having the music quite loud really helped. I was worried it wasn’t going to be that powerful and i’d barely be able to hear it and get into the music over the pounding of my feet but no issues there.

Already had one of these so when this came up as a deal i ordered it and can say its very good as expected.

I’ve owned a few bluetooth speakers of this size and price range, but by the first song played on this one by jam i knew this was going to be the best. It comes in a humorous jam jar hard plastic case, with a softer plastic buffer at the top and bottom. The case is unyielding and very strong plastic so will be able to take more than a few knocks when bringing it around with you. The speaker itself feels quality as soon as you pick it up. It’s mostly a soft grip rubber, but with a plastic ring at the top, surrounding a nice metal speaker mesh. The speaker turns on with a quiet voice and off again to the same voice, and when max volume is reached that voice lets you know. The buttons are behind the rubber grip and are nice to press. When playing your phone through it the unit can pause the music on the phone, and on the laptop it does the same, including youtube videos. But if playing a film through the speaker the pause won’t affect the film. It was recognised and connected to my phone and laptop, though there is an aux port so you can use it with devices that don’t have bluetooth.

Ultra-Lightweight: This portable speaker is easy to carry with you

This is a compact bluetooth mono speaker. So this is not for hi-fi fanatics, it’s for people who want the music on their phone a bit louder. But it produces a decent clear sound, and paired very easily with my iphone. It took a lot longer for my macbook to detect it, for some reason, but got there in the end – and it’s definitely louder than the macbook speakers. Very compact, looks cool, and still working after 2 hours’ continuous play.

Kids love it and it’s loud enough for their little ears.

Excellent volume and clarity from such a small device.

I knew this was going to be good as i already have a set of stereo speakers from jam that look just like this but in blue and they pair. The sound quality is fantastic, crisp and clear. Pairing is simple and it comes with a nice sturdy storage case and it’s own charging cable. To fully charge from flat takes 2. 5 hours and playing at full volume, it lasts about 9 hours, you’d probably get a longer playing time at lower volumes. The rubbery exterior also resists knocks and acts as a shock absorber if it’s knocked over. This one lives at work now and i wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again or recommend it to friends. Excellent quality and value for money and it looks great too.

Seems like a good value bluetooth speaker more so if travelling about and needing one that can stand up to some wear and tear. Has to be robust in bottom of bags for teenage son and this appears to be. Son likes the fact the charging cable matches the speaker and is neatly stored in it so no searching for it when needed. Sound quality not bad at all he thinks using it for listening to music and just the thing for being able to be thrown into his rucksack without becoming damaged with school books etc. Easy to set up and looks funky according to him.

This is a cute little speaker. Even the packaging it comes in is cute. It would make a great stocking filler due to its size. It is very easy to set up and use. It does come with instructions and they are pretty self explanatory. I have been using when doing the housework, moving it from room to room with me. The life on this is actually very impressive, it took about 2 hours to clean my house top to bottom and it was still going. Not 100% sure how long its meant to ask but i am impressed with it so far. For something so small i wasn’t expecting amazing sound quality. However, considering the size i was surprised at how good it was and think it was actually better than my phone.

The five stars are not to suggest that this is in any way a ‘hi-fi’ speaker, but to rate it accurately for its value and sound quality. I’ve been listening to jeff buckley’s ‘lilac wine’ through this just now and, for comparison, through another popular bluetooth speaker that i own, and which, until this, i really liked. The jam speaker produces a good quality sound that is very natural, being neither too bright or shrill, and not too lacking at the bass end. For its size (about like a small cup) this is surely excellent. The top end is well controlled and perhaps even slightly clipped, but this helps to balance the lack of bass. The mid-range is where it excels. There is some ‘boxiness’ compared to a large speaker, but this is to be expected; also, at full volume there is some slight distortion but this speaker does go quite loud. All-in-all, for under twenty pounds, this joins a very competitive arena, but can stand proud as one of the best for the price there is.

Aux-In: 3.5mm auxiliary input so you can connect your wired devices too

This little beauty packs quite a punch. I was not sure what to expect, but i fancied the innovative idea of a small blue tooth speaker. Literally quite small, but it connects easily to all my apple products – my iphone 6 plus, ipod, macbook and ipads. No qualms connection and the volume output was very impressive. It comes in a small transparent tin like container which contains the speaker, the instruction leaflet and a short blue usb 2. 0 type a to micro b for charging. Charging is easily done connected to the laptop or pc. On one side of the speaker there is a concealed opening for the micro usb end to connect and on the opposite side we have a play button and a + and – signs for controlling the volume up and down as well as for skipping forwards or backwards to a desired tract. When fully charged the battery lasts about three hours. The speaker comes with 2 yrs guarantee but it has to be registered online to get that.

Great little speaker you can take anywhere.

I’ve never heard of the jam brand but it looks remarkably similar to a jbl speaker i’ve seen quite recently. I love the design – it does look like a jar and they’ve pulled it off. The blue finish looks better in the flesh than in the photo. The weight is surprisingly heavy compared to other similarly priced units we’ve had before. The built-in charging cable is a great touch too. The plastic container and top coverusing it is as simple as it gets. Turn it on pressing the on/off button located beneath the speaker. Pair up your bluetooth audio device and let there be sound. The low end is punchy but the mid and top range frequencies are clear. You won’t fill up a large room with it but for general use it is fine.

Easy to set up, at least a good 8 hours of battery when fully charged.

I’ve bought a few of these jam speakers for different family members and i also have one myself. Very good quality sound, can take in to any room with the help of bluetooth. I wouldmost definatly recommend this product.

This is a nice little speaker and the first one i have reviewed for some time that is on a par with a little tdk speaker i’ve got. It is beautifully packaged coming in a little jam jar. The speaker comes coated in rubber and feels like it will take a few knocks. I’ve listened to a variety of things on it and i am impressed. Voice detail is really clear and crisp and music has a strong bass without being over swamped. It is about as loud as all speakers at this side. Pairing was really straight forwards, just press the blue button on the bottom and weight. It has some spoken audio to help you. This bluetooth speaker comes at a good price and represents good value. I use these when i am gardening or camping and they work really well.

Speakerphone: Take calls through your Reload Speaker

It’s nicely built and is strongly made. Good enough bottom end and works best if you place on a solid base.

This is a great little portable bluetooth speaker ideal to use with your phone, ipad or other device when out and about. Packaged in what looks like a jam jar, it’s compact and sturdy, charges via a little cord (supplied) from a usb port and runs for up to 6 hours from a full charge. Range seems to be about the 10m advertised, and the sound is great for the very reasonable price – even on high volumes it doesn’t distort and sounds equally as good playing classical music as it does playing pop or jazz. It’s not a substitute for a hi-fi, but it really boosts the sound from a device-size speaker. I use mine for listening to music when i’m gardening, doing housework or having a well-earned rest outside.

Jam Audio Jamoji Emoji tooth Speaker : Modern styling with a great traditional sound

So if you choose to buy the jamoji ‘poo’ ? bluetooth speaker you probably wanted a conversation piece and the conversation will probably begin by trying to decide if it represents a swirl of chocolate ice-cream or a pile of poop. For the record, it’s the poop and in some operating systems (like android 5) it’s more usually represented without the smiley face and with a swarm of flies buzzing around it. In japan, birthplace of the modern emoji, the word for poop starts with the same sound as the word for luck, so it’s a lucky little poop charm really…once the kids stop giggling about the shape of their new speaker and actually switch it on then another conversation begins – about whether it actually sounds any good or not and that one’s not so easy to decide. It’s certainly reasonably loud at full volume but the sound does begin to break up and distort when cranked up that high. There’s not much real fidelity to the sound, it isn’t very detailed and has a lot of mid-range with very little bass and a muffled top-end. Despite the swirly shape it actually sounds a bit boxy and contained and despite the volume doesn’t have a very dynamic sound at all. It’s ok used for background music while you’re doing something else or it would be good as an external speaker while playing games or videos on your smartphone, it’s certainly much better than the tinny speakers built into most smartphones or tablets. The construction quality is good but i find the control buttons, which are small and hidden around the back, are unnecessarily awkward to use because they’re basically flush with the body of the speaker and difficult to locate without looking. It would be much cooler if the eyes on front of the speaker were also the control buttons, although that might make it more expensive to produce.

I must admit to being sceptical about this, but it actually sounds good, looks fun and is easy to setup. Connected to my lumia 950 windows phone no bother (comes up as ‘jamoji 2 cool’ in bluetooth devices) and played music via groove app. Sound quality is good, on a par with a decent quality mono radio. Not at all tinny or buzzy, with sufficient volume for listening in kitchen/bedroom or on a picnic- we’re not talking room-filling party volume herethere’s volume up/down buttons on the back, plus a play/pause button to control and turn on/off with long press. There’s a recess in the back to hook a loop through to carry on a lanyard. Battery recharges from a micro usb connection on the back, there a small led that shows red when charging and flashes blue when playing. Loses a star as the battery isn’t user replaceable.

Jam audio jamoji emoji bluetooth speaker is a handy little speaker which gives you the option of using bluetooth which allows you to share music where and when you want. The speaker does not come with a charging cable but this was no problem as my basic phone and kindle charger fitted the speaker with ease. It did not take long to charge and i was soon enjoying my tunes through it, well that was until a certain teenager came home.I like the brightness of the actual speaker. The quirky and still very trendy emoji facial expressions brings a certain uniqueness to this very cute speaker. I love this speaker, and my teenager loves it more, therefore this handy and very quirky speaker receives a double recommendation from this household. This is a perfect speaker for the young and trendy in your household. And for those who like myself who simply want a good speaker this is a great purchase and one i am happy to recommend.

Fun emoji poo bluetooth speaker. A nice little bluetooth speaker in the shape of the poo emojii connected it to my ipod and it has a good soundthere are 3 buttons on the back ,plus and minus for the volume and a start/pause button which you also use to connect to your deviceby pressing for 3 seconds while your device finds the speakerand also i found this button turns off the speaker by holding it for 3 seconds againthe only down point is it doesn’t come with a plug or lead for charging the speakerthe speaker has a built in rechargeable battery and you will need a usb to mini/micro usb lead to charge iti found a camera lead that might work but cant tell yet as the speaker already has charge so wont know until needs rechargingit says with a 4hr charge that you get 5hr play time.

Fun for teenage audience, not bad sound, no charging cable. My 14 year old daughter immediately adopted this speaker as her own – it’s the ‘cool sunglasses’ version. It’s no better in terms of sound than any other bluetooth speaker we’ve tried (probably a little worse actually), but the funky emoji style is appealing, and it’s good enough for the average user who just wants their music a little louder than their phone can manage on its own. It has a little stand so you can put it on the shelf or table, so it sits there smiling out at the room, while you’re listening to your favourite music. It’s pretty easy to get started, press and hold the button for bluetooth, then find it on your phone or other device. When you’re finished you can press and hold the button to turn it off again too. No charging cable is included which is a bit of a pain, but luckily we had a compatible cable already in the house so that was fine.

Fun ’emoji’ speaker that is well made and produces a pretty good sound. . This speaker from jam audio is a bluetooth portable speaker. The speaker comes in fun ’emoji’ shapes such as … 2 cool sunglass, chocolate swirl (poo), love struck and winking tongue out. I received the ‘poo’ speaker for reviewing purposes. The casing is made from sturdy brown coloured plastic. This speaker is great fun and can be used for parties, camping, picnics and any other indoor or outdoor activities.   the speaker itself measures in at 11cm at its widest x 11cm at its highest x 6cm in depth. It is solidly made, all of the controls are on the back of the speaker and the aux in, micro usb port and on/off switch is also on the back of the speaker.  i decided to fully charge the speaker before testing, this took just under 5 hours. Using a micro usb charging cable (not supplied) and a suitable usb charging plug i plugged in.

I didn’t have hugely high expectations for a plasticky-looking speaker in the shape of an emoji, but this speaker is surprisingly good. It’s very straightforward to set up; you hold down the play button and pair your phone or laptop via bluetooth. I didn’t have any connection issues but it does only allow one pairing at a time – trying to do more than one simply confuses it. The sound quality is decent – i’m using it as a quiet office radio, and whilst the sound isn’t as good as that on say, a ue boom 2, it’s definitely better than a lot of comparably-priced products out there. I’m not sure if it’s because i didn’t charge it when i got it, but the battery lasted for about two days of more or less constant use before needing a charge. But that’s actually pretty good – and given that it has a built-in rechargeable battery, which you charge via micro usb cable, it’s all good. Overall, if you like emojis and wireless audio and want decent quality audio, this is a great product.

Sound ‘ok’ rather than good. I own a small anker bluetooth speaker, and i expected this to be much the same. The truth was somewhat disappointing. It’s almost as if it is, in every way, not quite as good as my anker unit. It’s not got much ‘grunt’ to it – if anything it could be described as a touch feeble. The sound quality is a bit ‘tinny’ and lacking in richness. Being basically round i’ve found it’s easy to knock over if you use the built in stand to stand it up – though if you only knock it a bit it seems to rock back vertical again. In short it’s a talking point, with it’s funny face, but as an actual tool for listening to music it’s just ‘not really there’.

Fun little speaker with surprisingly good sound quality for the size. This is a fun little speaker which has better than expected sound quality for its size. Because it is so compact it’s ideal for travel and taking to the bathroom. Its volume is great for the size and the keeps it stable. It was very easy to set up and pair with my iphone over bluetooth. This is being used by the teenager in the family who likes the fun emoji look. Pros+ portability+ great sound for the size+ charge lasts to the claimed six hours form a single charge+ fun look+ connects immediately once your phone bluetooth is oncons- some sound distortion at high volume.

I am not cool, nor am i down with the kids. I decided to jump off that bandwagon some years ago as trying to keep up with the latest trends is folly. I am aware of emojis and on occasion use them myself in a text, but how they have developed even further into a cultural phenomenon is beyond me. Want proof that emojis are a thing?. Then look no further than the ‘jam audio jamoji bluetooth speaker’ sets. These are functional bluetooth speakers shaped like popular emojis. I have the cool sunglasses characters, but if you want you can buy the speaker shaped like a ‘chocolate swirl’the issue with novelty items is that they may be a cheap bit of kit, looking to be released for a quick sale and in some ways this is exactly what the ‘jamoji’s are. They are priced very competitively and are very trend driven, but that is not always a bad thing. The actual speaker is well made and looks like a emoji.

A great speaker with surprisingly good sound. I received the ‘love struck’ version of this bluetooth speaker for review. The speaker looks great with large red hearts for eyes. Particularly good for any fan of emjois but i would say this and the one with sunglasses would be ideal for any teenager, or those trying to stay with the times. The speaker is the size of a small plate about 12cm in diameter and about 6cm at it’s thickest in the middle. It’s well made and feels sturdy and able to travel well. All controls are on the back including the charging port for micro usb (not supplied). It also has an auxiliary in port for connecting it to other inputs, but suspect mostly this will go unused. It was easy to pair to an iphone 6 and although it didn’t come fully charged it came with enough for testing purposes. On a full charge at around 60-70% volume it lasted about 4.

A good all round portable bluetooth speaker lightweight and teeny enough for travel too. . I am reviewing the vine provided gift of the smiley one:fun but practical for people who like to have music on holiday in room but don’t like sound of it played on phone. Also older kids and teens for playing music in bedroom without headphones such as for when having a sleepover. The sound is far better than my high end mobile phone and its loud enough to get a decent listen and its good as this is without any vibration or noticeable distortion. I have another jam bluetooth speaker, the double, and though that is a better sound it is not massively better. Ie if that is 10 out of 10 this is 8. Where that excels is for stability – the emoji idea is great but with the smiley one which is like a giant smartie or m and m the little bit of stand provided at the back is a bit of a faff to pull out and position. I prefer to plonk down a speaker. You will need a charging cable of your own such as the common mini usb used for android phone charging.

Emoji speaker – ‘chocolate swirl’. So, there’s no way to avoid it, the speaker is shaped like an emoji shaped like a poo. I thought it a little uncouth, the other half loved it. So tick one for personal humour. The speaker itself isn’t half bad. Puts out a fair amount of volume and lasts for a few hours. Good enough to take to the beach or the park etc. The sound quality is ok (you’re not going to get much better for that price) but you need to point it directly at you to get the best sound. Charging is done by a micro usb port in the back (same as most phones these days) and takes a few hours to get to maximum.

Perfectly adequate, well made, speaker in a novelty shape. I have used this emoji many times, and never have i interpreted it as a ‘chocolate swirl’ – what i have interpreted it as can be left up to your imagination – but this isn’t important anyway. The speaker itself is acceptable if not great – it certainly works to play music and the buttons on the the unit can be used to drive the music so you can leave your phone in your pocket. The build quality is surprisingly good – it is made well and the paint job is flawless. The eyes are very well attached and the unit stands up on it’s own easily, so there are no complaints about any of that at all. The speaker is however a bit bigger than expected – the description says ‘small enough to fit in your pocket’ – and this may be true of big pockets, but it won’t be easy. It comes with no cable for charging the battery – however it’s a fairly standard usb cable that most houses should have a few of, so while this is irritating it’s not a deal breaker. If you’re in the market for a novelty speaker this (or one of the other designs) would be a good choice – it’s never going to replace a real speaker setup, but for taking to the park it will raise a few laughs and do the job perfectly adequately.

Jam audio lamoji bluetooth speaker, chocolate swirl. What a great little speaker this is, it has an unusual shape and quite amusing. My grandchildren this he’s very funny. The speaker was very easy to pair with my phone or laptop. The only thing that i have a grip with is the fact that you get nothing to charge it with. It’s like buying a car with no key, and you certainly wouldn’t expect that to be acceptable. Come on guys the cable would cost pence to put in so please add a charger to the box. The speaker is a handy size to carry around in your pocket being only 11x11x6cm,it’s great fun if you want to share music on the go. The sound that is omitted is good considering the small price. The micro port is at the back and once charged (with your own cable) the charge will last around six hours.

This just makes me smile and also has the same affect on our youngest son. It’s really easy to set up and controls are on the back of the unit. It is really portable and just fits in a pocket. Sound quality isn’t great, but it isn’t bad either, you’ve to remember this isn’t an expensive bose/sonos speaker so you need to wind down your expectations a bit. The big question is why is this not supplied with a charger cable?. Seems a bit of an oversight, penny pinching gone to far. Even bog standard £10 mobile are supplied with the means to charge them. When you do get it charged we got about five hours out of it. If you’ve blue-toothed it to your phone you can also use it for hands free.

I am trying to dry mine out right now. . Dropped in the hot tub a bit ago, very sad. I hope it drys out and still works.

Novelty – fine, nothing brilliant, but nothing bad. Cheap and cheerful – this makes my children very happy and that’s who it’s made for, rather than musical technology aficionados. The sound quality is good enough, although it does go a bit ‘blurry’ when pumped up very high. What did disappoint me is the lack of charger – even for a not-particularly-expensive speaker (£20 at the time of reviewing) one would expect a basic charging lead. However any home-or-garden usb cable will do the trick. Connectivity is easy and the battery life is not brilliant but not bad (i got 4. 5 hours out of it but it was up loud). You can adjust the volume either on the speaker (at about 10cm it’s a bit big to fit in my pocket, but it depends how big your pockets are). This is a novelty rather than a fine piece of technology, but what do you expect from an emoji speaker?.

Jam Audio Jamoji Emoji tooth Speaker – Anyone Got Any Veras?

  • Really good speaker. Simple set up and powerful sound
  • Anyone Got Any Veras?
  • Top of the Poops

I got this for my daughter as she’s emoji-obsessed. It’s a brilliant little speaker that works really well. You simply turn it on using one of the three buttons on the back and it immediately becomes visible to a pairable device (an iphone in this case). There are two unobtrusive volume buttons on the back and a neat little kickstand to prop the speaker upright. It charges fairly quickly and the charge lasts a good few hours. Plus, the sound quality is pretty good. Obviously not high end, but better than a phone/ipod speaker. Overall, a really neat little piece of kit.

Let’s face it, this speaker is all about the fun and novelty and for the price i don’t think you can expect much more. This is perfect for younger people who like the idea of having a smiling poo around them and who are content to simply hear music. But are not yet sound geeks. It is simple to use, just plug in via a micro usb (not included), let it charge, and it’s ready to use. The bluetooth setup is very easy to complete, simply turn it on, search for bluetooth devices via your laptop or phone or whatever you are trying to connect to it, and you can stream pretty much instantly. The clarity of sound is fine at low levels but you do lose the clarity at higher levels. Personally i think this is to be expected for the price, after all if you want bose quality then you need pay a little more than £20. Nevertheless, it is relatively clear and it does go up to a high volume. The dimensions of this speaker are approx.

Not a bad speaker, is a bit bigger than i thought. Not a bad speaker, is a bit bigger than i thought it’d be and the colour is very dark so it looks almost blackish brown rather than brown (therefore it’s harder to see what this is supposed to be). The sound isn’t fantastic, i imagine that’s to do with the shape of it, i get a slightly tinny sound and the bass isn’t as great as it could be but for a portable speaker, this is fairly good for the price. Was very easy to detect with my iphone and ipad, but did cut out a few times, but then iphone in particular does seem to lose bluetooth signal with items on occasion so it’s not surprising. Comes in a plastic blister pack rather than a box, so less recycling to get rid of.

Looks great, just good fun actually. The sound isn’t as good as some other (more expensive) speakers. The biggest let down is that it comes without a cable to charge the bloody thing. I use an old one but things like this shouldn’t be sold without the way to charge it.

This is a good, cool, fun little bluetooth speaker. I have used it a few times now, pretty standard sound nothing special in terms of the sound quality but does a job at a pretty good price point. It can get a bit tinny at times, but you would expect that for the price. It is very easy to connect to your bluetooth device, you just hold down the button and pair it. Charging is easy enough, however the fact it does not come with a charger wire came as a bit of a shock, however it is just a standard usb required. Overall a decent little speaker, good stocking filler perhaps, or small gift.

A novelty more than a decent speaker. . This is a fun, compact, take anywhere mini speaker that connects via the bluetooth on your device. The sound quality from the speaker isn’t great, but is acceptable for the relatively low price of the unit. The unit charges via a mini usb port and in addition to a bluetooth connection can be used via the aux input port using a 3. Construction is very robust – i actually did (accidentally) drop the speaker on to a hard tiled floor and even though it landed quite heavily, it withstood the impact and worked perfectly well. The best use i’ve found for the speaker is as an external sound output for my ipad whilst streaming videos.

Ok – this is a basic bluetooth speaker, with average sound quality, designed to look like an emoticon. If you’re after a novelty product, then i guess great, but if you want an actual set of speakers, then i’m afraid you’ll need to spend a bit more money. The sound quality is ok – it loses clarity in both the upper and lower registers, but it’s listenable. You can charge it using usb (not included) and it’s light an portable. Usb can also be used to plug in non-bluetooth devices, although i’ll be honest and say i don’t notice the difference between the sound quality on this and the built in speaker on some high end devices. I suppose my main beef with this is that its very design tells me it will be used to broadcast irritating music on public transport by groups of kids, which is one of my pet bugbears, and thus this review is probably tinged with more than a teeny bit of grumpy old lady syndrome. I did have to chuckle at the poo emoji being marketed as a ‘chocolate swirl’ though – nice try guys.

This is a cool little speaker and will make a great gift for kids who seem to speak in the language of emojis. I thought it would be smaller than it was so was pleasantly surprised when it came up a bit bigger than expected. The speaker was quite good quality for the price, seems well enough made and it is cute – my kids love it. The speaker did not come with a charging cable which was a shame, but we certainly have enough cables as to not struggle. The sound is fine, not exactly bose or beats quality, but that said, it is perfectly adequate for a kids bedroom, the office or a picnic.

Comes without charger, but otherwise fine. . As others have said, very irritating it doesn’t come with a charger – but it’s mini usb, so you’ve almost certainly got a few of those in your house unless you live under a rock. First impression was it was bigger than in looked in the photos, but still small, compact and completely portable. I thinky the styling will appeal more to tween type ages than anyone else. Pairing was straightforward. It isn’t top end audio, but at this price you wouldn’t expect it to be – but if you want to play your phone music outside or in a room and don’t want it sounding tinny, then this really is fine for that. At this price, a decent gift.

A fun speaker, good portable sound. . The jam audio jamoji bluetooth speaker is an easy to use bluetooth speaker that offers good sound quality in a fun design. The sound quality is not amazing by any means, but it is good enough for a small portable speaker like this. It would make a great gift for a teenager who wants a travel speaker that looks more interesting that the average. There is no charging cable with this speaker which some might feel is a significant omission, but it does take a standard micro usb and so we already had loads of cable from other devices and a usb plug to hand. A fun speaker with good portable sound.

Jam Audio 2 – Grouping the speakers could be better i. e

I have the jam symphony set up in the living room and am very pleased with it. The sound quality is superb and it has the power to certainly cope with the room size and doesn’t distort at louder volumes. I was a little wary about the quality of the speaker as it was quite a bit cheaper than others, but it certainly performs well and feels heavy and well built. It had an equaliser that you can control with the app. When connecting to my wifi i needed to un-hide my ssid temporarily so the jam could connect, then it was fine, but for normal broadband uses it should just connect seamlessly. I use the spotify application on the ipad to manage my playlists which lets you select the jam as a device. It responds instantly to changing tracks and even remembers the playlist i was playing when i press play again on the top. I’ve since bought the rhythm model which is slightly smaller which syncs perfectly with the symphony so the same song can be heard around the house.

Experienced initial problems but mainly resolved now. I have unfortunately experienced some major issues with using this speaker, though anyone lucky enough not to encounter the problems i did may find it decent enough. However, i have personally found this speaker very disappointing. First impression out of the box is that it’s a nice size, compact but not too small to impair the sound. To get started you need to plug it in and then download the ‘free app’ from jam. However, it’s not so much free as it is compulsory – there is no way to use this speaker without the app, so if the developer stops supporting it in the future you may well be left with quite an expensive doorstop. Unlike some other speakers in this category, there is no bluetooth support. The first problem i encountered was searching for the app on the store – i tried searching for ‘jam speaker’, ‘jam audio’ and ‘jam music’ but none of these brought up the correct app – using better meta data with appropriate keywords on their app page could resolve this, so i hope they take note. In the end i had to search for ‘jam wifi’ in order to find the app, but after that it was a quick install (just under 50mb in size). Once i had the app installed, i plugged in the speaker and gave it sufficient time to boot up.

Whilst its not of sufficient sound quality that i’d want to use it as my primary sound system, it would make a great portable speaker to use about the house. The volume is fairly decent, the music quality is adequate, and its a smart looking unit. The speaker itself is operated through an app, which is downloadable from itunes, and whilst this might present issues to some, i found it no harder to set up than my sonos system, which also runs through my wifi. The app isn’t quite as refined as the sonos app, but is relatively intuitive. Overall, its fantastic for the money. Here are the specifications for the Jam Audio 2:

  • Enter your model number
above to make sure this fits.
  • Room-filling, 2.1 stereo sound with immense bass, Dedicated tweeters for true clarity
  • Listen to different music in each room or listen to the same music in every room (Sync Multiple Speakers)
  • Control your music with free JAM app, Stream Spotify, Tidal, TuneIn and more
  • Presets: The speakers pre-sets allow you to save and access your favourite tunes and radio stations from the touch of a button
  • Intercom app: talk through your speakers plus Treble + bass adjustment – Perfect for larger rooms

I wasn’t expecting much but wow… they sounded awesome, we danced into the night. I bought 2 of these for a post carnival house party, they were cheaper than a sonos and from what i could tell could do the same job. I wasn’t expecting much but wow… they sounded awesome, we danced into the night. They took less than 5 mins to set up, the app isn’t great but it does the job. Makes pairing speakers together really easy (you just drag and drop). I will be growing this system in my home over the next few months and years, and i would recommend these.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Good speaker but dependent on an app
  • Solid sound from an unobtrusive speaker.
  • Good value and quality product

Now have a total of 4 of these and one of the larger version around the house. You do need the app to get the best functionality but they work well and of good quality.

Stream music throughout your home, with jam audio 2. 1 symphony wireless speakers. You can buy an individual speaker like this one , or wirelessly connect several. You can use this with spotify. There’s a jam app to control it all from your phone or tablet.

Short review:great speaker, slightly ropey conceptlong review:sound wise this is a great speaker, it competes with a bose speaker of similar value without any issues. Punchy bass, good high range, very loud. It can fill a large room with ease. Build quality is also good, it feels like it can take a bit of ruff and tumble without issues (great if you own some kids or have drunk housemates). It looks better than the pictures, but it’s not going to win any design awards. The unit itself is quite big, maybe a foot across by 8′ tall, you’ll need plenty of space to set it up to get the best sound distribution. Now the main downfall is the connection to play music. You connect the unit to your wifi network via an app to download on your phone/tablet (potential security issues here). Then via the app you steam music to the unit where it plays. In reality this is a faff, the app is not amazing and it seems like a lot of work to play music when bluetooth connection speakers are a dime a dozen. The app has internet radio, spotify, tunein and others so you can get quite a large range of music in one place. The speaker does proclaim to have the ability to set up music in any room, so you have several speakers placed around the house and as you move about the music follows you from speaker to speaker (or you set up different music on each one). It’s a good concept, but at the price range i really don’t think many people will take it up. To sum up, it’s a good speaker with great sound, but i’m just not convinced about the execution.

Good value and quality product. Been looking for a multi room speaker system for a while all too expensive this was perfect price and a brilliant speaker i bought 2 lounge and upstairs to try it so pleased with it now going for a third to complete the system. The tone and clarity is really good and product well made it takes minutes to establish.

I was concerned that setup would be difficult given previous reviews but these were unfounded. The setup was easy and complete minutes after it was out of the box. For the price, the sound quality is excellent, albeit better with pop/rock than classical music. The app, despite having poor ratings, is also fine and easy to use. The speaker connected to spotify from tablet/phone/laptop without prompts once on the wifi network.

Lovely sound quality, but some issues. Let me start by saying that this speaker is bigger than it looks and bigger than i anticipated. Straight out of the box it is easy to set up and operate. You need to quickly download the jam audio app and from there it’s incredibly easy to negotiate and operate the speaker from your phone, you just need to connect it to your router by locating it and entering your password. Via your phone you can then play music through spotify and there is an extensive and exhaustive list of radio stations which you can play. The sound quality is extremely impressive, in particular the bass, but i do have a number of issues with this speaker. Firstly, you can’t play any songs that you have stored on your phone through it. Secondly, as far as i can see, you can’t play songs via amazon music or itunes through the wireless connection – and as these are the two sites that i use for music streaming this makes this speaker of little use to me. Finally, there is no bluetooth connectivity.

A excellent unit with one or two niggles. The success of units such as this mainly comes down to three factors: ease of setup, sound quality, and compatibility. If it’s quick and easy to set up, sounds good, and can communicate with a wide variety of services and applications, then it’s a bit of a winner. The jam audio rhythm speaker ticks all three of these boxes, but not without a little bit of googling or know-how. First thing’s first, set-up. This is very easy indeed, and is more or less the only thing the instruction booklet tackles well. It takes you through the process step-by-step, and even though the speaker itself lacks any kind of visual display apart from a blinking light, it makes up for it by actually telling you what it’s doing. You know it’s successfully connected to your wifi because a voice from the speaker tells you. You do need the jam audio app to make it work, and the lack of a windows version of this (for pc and for windows phone) is disappointing, but once you’ve done that, the app is no longer required if you don’t want it to be. You need it primarily in order to provide the speaker with the password to your wifi.

The speaker is sturdy and packaged well. The instructions that come with it are brief however it is quite intuitive to set up and to start using via the app. I have been using it via ios. The ability to steam from any room is handy as is the quick use of volume controls and changing tracks etc. There is a short lag of around a second between any command on the app and the speaker responding. It also has the ability for you to send voice messages through the speaker which can be quite fun. I found it easy to use with streaming apps as well as to play music stored on my device. There was an issue with some tracks that, whilst stored on my phone, were shown as ‘in the cloud’. Only happened on a few tracks so one star affected here.

Big,powerful wireless home speakerjust get to grips with the app, and you’ll be fine. This works really well for me. Nowadays, since my vinyl is no more, all of my music comes from my phone, my laptop or my computer. This good looking big speaker sits nicely in my front room. And i can play music from any of my devices using wifi. It is not portable needing a power socket and being far too big to cart around. But it makes a great start to a full housewide system. When i can afford it, ill get one in each room. Plays my own playlists perfectly, and spotify.

Great product at a good price :). Being a first time user of wifi products i was nervous, i love music but spending this much money was a real considered purchase. After downloading the app and setting up the speakers which was very easy, i had one in my kitchen and one in the lounge i couldn’t believe what i was hearing. The sound was so clear and could be heard from all rooms of my flat without annoying the neighbours. I had friends over at the weekend and wanted some music playing in the back ground that wasn’t going to be too over-powering, so put them both on and then when we went through into the kitchen for dinner it was seamless. They were also very impressed and wanted me to show them the app and all the different platforms you can use it on… which of course i didoverall they are both great and after a lot of deliberation i’m so glad i made the jump. Great product at an affordable price.

Big,powerful wireless home speakerjust get to grips with the app, and you’ll be fine. This works really well for me. I purchased 2 of these speakers recently and wasn’t sure what to expect. . Luckily i am pleasantly surprised. For the money they are are extremely good. The sound is fantastic and great build quality, the only downside is the app is a bit of a disappointment. The app is way off sonos standard and can be a bit clunky, however when using spotify it’s faultless. Really pleased and would highly recommend. Hopefully jam can make some improvements with the app and it will be 5 stars.

I am a spotify premium user and i love this speaker. You have to hear it to believe it, features are really good too. I can save my favourite playlists to the presets so i don’t need to get my phone out to start my music. I thought they might be a little too cheap and tinny but was blown away by the sound quality and how easy they were to set up. Really happy with this purchase. My girlfriend is not a premium spotify user but with airplay on her iphone she can still stream her music directly to the speakers.

Jam Audio Jamoji Emoji tooth Speaker, Where’s the charger cable?

This is a bit of fun for christmas, or any other time, being (a) a bluetooth speaker; and (b) a physical emojiwhat you would expect that to mean is that the speaker is rubbish, but rather surprisingly it is a decent one. I have tested loads of bluetooth speakers over the past two years, and this is easily the best £20 speaker i have experienced. That it looks like a turd is a complete bonus ()on the technical side, it is bog-standard (keep those puns coming), with simple pairing. There is no charging cable included, but it takes the ubiquitous micro usb that all android phones use. Verdict: it is a good enough speaker to recommend it for that alone, obviously that is not the reason you are considering buying it, but this is a speaker that will get used well into the new year.

“Beware: no cable to charge, Fun novelty speaker, Anyone Got Any Veras?”

Are you wanting a tiny bluetooth speaker that offers surprisingly decent sound?do you want it to be affordable and well made?do you need it to be shaped like a little cartoon poo?if you answered yes to all three, look no further, the jam audio jamoji bluetooth speaker is for youif you’re more flexible on some of those points, let me continue. For starters the sound is decent, but no more than that. It is loud enough for home and outdoor use, but it is never going to blow the roof off and it seriously lacks bass. But it is impressive for the size, i was expecting something larger but it is actually palm-sized. It is relatively cheap, too, and feels solid, though i was surprised not to get a charger with it. Instead the manufacturers assume everyone has spare micro-usb cables lying around. Then there is the fact that it is shaped like a cartoon poo. This is the deal breaker for some people, and i really don’t blame you. There are plenty of good speakers out there at a wide range of prices and styles, but if you like the poo, or know someone that does, then you really can’t go wrong here.
