Very impressed with delivery and anker customer service followup. They make you feel like an important customer and always there if you have a problem. For the price the build and sound quality is excellent. It does exactly what it says on the tin. It deserves a 5 star but for one minor issue. The buttons on the top are moulded into the material of the same colour, dark grey. It appears to be designed for those that can read brail. I would recommend this company and product.
Brlliant little speakerthe packaging is very premium and unfolds in a quite cool and neat way. Inside the box was a nicely sealed bag containing the speaker itself and another little box containing a micro-usb cable that can be used to charge the speaker. The box didn’t come with a mains plug socket, but i’m tripping over all of the adapters i’ve got from other electronics so this was a plus more than a negative. The 6w speaker is surprising loud and has an impressive tonal range, providing a decent amount of bass and a very decent amount of volume considering its size. The speaker itself feels very durable and high quality, with a sort of rubberised feel to it. It definitely won’t be slipping off of any surfaces. The buttons on the speaker also have a satisfying feel to them, with very good feedback, rather than a cheap squishy feel, where you can’t tell if you’ve actually pressed the button or noti did have to read a manual to get going with the speaker and was immediately able to pair it with two devices- the speaker gives feedback through flashing lights and audible tones, so once my device had paired with it, it was obvious that it was good to go. With a dedicated bluetooth button, it’s quite simple to get a device up and running with the speaker. Again, without reading the manual, i was able to figure out how to get the speaker to tell a device to skip a track (tapping the play button twice in quick succession does this) and i was able to adjust the quickly. I did try making a phone call through the device, which also has a dedicated input for microphones (and an auxiliary input for devices like cd players or mp3 players without bluetooth capabilities) and the audio quality was quite crisp.
Really pleased with this purchase. It does exactly what i bought it for. Wanted it for the caravan, so didnt want anything too loud, but my other little speaker i have is a bit too quiet. Dont need the sound right up, but can have it louder if i choose to. I read some reviews that spoke about it having an annoying start up and shutdown tune. This is hardly noticeable, so not sure why its a problem, and at least you know it has came on, and the same when you put it off. Good quality sound for a bluetooth speaker, so much so, that my husband made me buy another one for him, so that in the evening at the caravan, instead of having the volume on the tv on loud to listen to in the evening, we can connect to the speaker and put it behind us, so tv doesnt have to be loud at night, we can hear it perfectly, with it just behind us instead. And not annoy our neighbouring vans x.
Personally, this speaker is perhaps not as loud as i was expecting, nor as clear – it seems a little ‘thick’ as far as the treble is concerned, but in respect of it’s purpose- in my case to enhance the sound from an alexa dot – this little speaker excels. Although the buttons on top are embossed i’d still have liked the symbols highlighted as they aren’t instinctive in the dark when i use it. Battery life is little short of superb and i’d happily recommend albeit with the couple of caveats above, which to be fair probably won’t bother a great number of potential buyers.
I am very pleased with the anker soundcore. It’s a great size, great shape and just weighty enough that to it can’t be easily knocked over on my desk (i am a klutz). Charged it until full when it arrived on november 25th and have used it on and off (often for a whole day) and the battery is still going. Very easy to connect to my tablet, once i synced it the first time it connects immediately to my tablet and laptop whenever i power on the speaker, although i do suggest turning the bluetooth on your device first before switching on the speaker (as per the instructions). Great sound quality, for listening to music or streaming on my tablet and laptop. Very surprised by how crisp the sound was and volume is perfect for my usage as i use to just listen to music on my device speakers.
I’m very glad that i bought this over other more expensive models i’d been considering. For my purposes, just playing music around the house or in hotel rooms it’s perfect. It’s certainly loud enough for that so i have no issues with the volume and to be honest, my musical ear isn’t sophisticated or developed enough to hear any ‘tinniness’ or distortion. All good for mearrived before the eta too.
- Sounds great – would recommend
- Great for listening round the house and took it to
- UPDATE: Replacemet resolves most issues
I don’t know what this thing is run on, but it can only be considered magic. I purchased this in october 2017 and have charged it just once (when i first got it), despite its regular 15-60 minute daily usage. My phone shows that it still has 70% battery life remaining (although i’m not sure if that built-in feature of android 8. It is well built (as i have come to expect from anker), although i have found that oily fingers do mark it, the design is quite stylish but not flashy, and it sounds good for its size and price, but the battery life is far and away the strongest feature.
This is a great little product and very well made. I bought it because of the reviews. However it is a liitle lacking on the bass side of things. The bass is there and it is very well controlled but just not deep enough ie: level forty two (now showing my age) sounds good with that tight funky bass that mark king plays so well. Acoustic guitar sounds great. The sound is clear and crisp. So i now also own the sound core 2 with the bass up option and it does have much better bass although a little wooly on some songs. A combination of the two would be a brilliant product.
Absolutely love this little beauty. Pick it up and it feels ‘heavy’. Caress it and it feels like velvet. Because i have a monitor with dual hdmi inputs, i can connect this speaker to my pc via bluetooth and to a stand-alone dvd player via a short aux cable. I just flick a switch on the monitor. I did have some teething trouble getting it to work the way i wanted but this was to do with my lack of understanding about setting up the pc audio system for bluetooth devices. Once i sussed that one out it was ok.
Fantastic little device, packs a good musical punch, practical and an amazing battery life. Sound quality: the sound is good, quite rich and i don’t feel it really misses out in anything. I imagine the music connoisseur will find an issue with it, but for the general user, which i imagine most people looking for this product, are, then they will find no issue with it. It can go loud but you do notice losses in the sound quality as the volume goes up, which is expected, you won’t need the volume loud unless you’re entertaining a party. Battery life: this is no exaggeration but from when i bought this product 5 months ago, using it almost daily i have only had to recharge it a handful of times, i’m not sure what anker base their 20 hours (if i remember) from, but you won’t struggle with keeping power in thismicrophone: the device has a side mounted microphone which, in my experience hasn’t had great performance, but as i didn’t buy this device for the microphone capabilities i haven”t marked it down. Additional: i have recently started to use this connected to alexa, again the performance is fantastic and is a great speaker to have connected to your echo dot if you wish for improved sound.
Bought this anker soundcore to go with my echo dot in dec 2016 and so far it has been great. However 18 months later, june 2018, it developed a fault where the charging socket would not retain the cable so it could no longer be charged. I didn’t expect such good customer service from anker but it was exemplary. Within 5 days i received a replacement which was great as the sound is far superior to anything else of this size. I can’t praise their customer service highly enough. It can never compare to the state of the art speakers but it’s handily portable and so i can move it to wherever i wish to listen to music or books. The sound is excellent and without distortion even at higher volume. For the money this is a superb bit of kit. The temporary replacement i bought whilst awaiting the new soundcore to arrive was a very poor substitute in spite of costing more before being reduceddon’t think twice, buy it.

I finally got round to setting up the anker soundcore to my ipad which took seconds to do. Login to youtube and selected a few tunes to test out the soundcore. The anker is small which is fine and the sound was great. My boys thought i was having a party in my room lol. One of the best items i’ve bought this year from amazon. Thank you to the seller i am one happy customer and highly recommend anyone to buy this.
I’ve held off on reviewing this for a couple of years, as this allows any novelty to wear off and the longevity of the product to be properly considered. I’m as pleased with it today as i was when i bought it. It gets used in all sorts of locations, indoors, outdoors, on top of the shower cubical, in the freezing garage, in a humid kitchen – and it has survived without flaw. The battery life is good, the sound quality excellent considering its tiny size (a solid dynamic range for something so compact – it fills a space very well). In quality terms i’d place it comfortably ahead of smaller speakers like those attached to amazon dot or google home mini’s, but behind (obviously) things like the amazon echo (which have much more expensive speakers inside). I’d buy another of these in a heartbeat if i needed to. Which i don’t, because mine is still working brilliantly. Despite being dropped, covered in water and all sorts.
Received the anker soundcore bt speaker within the specified delivery date. The packaging of the product was also good. I am currently using the speaker for around 2 hours per day and must say that it’s performance exceeded my expectations. The volume can go really loud on the max. Volume and you would most certainly never need such high volume unless you are throwing a big party at home. Surprisingly even at the high volume, the sound quality is pretty good and doesn’t crack up. The device charges up fully within 2-3 hours of continuous charging. Once you connect the speaker to any smartphone or tab (ios or android) you can see the amount of battery charge remaining on the speaker in the notification bar of the phone or tab. I have used the speaker for approx 2 hours per day for continuously 5 days now and surprisingly the battery has only drained around 20%.
Took a while to figure out how to pair with ipad, (which is already paired with an anker keyboard) but once sorted (ie unpaired the keyboard, switched everything including the ipad and the bluetooth button off, and then back on again, and then did the pairing process) it has been working fabulously, and it sounds great and looks good.
You can lift it and just feel it’s a well put together product, which is nice. * good quality sound, and plenty of volume. * no issues with bluetooth whatsoever. I have connected it to android phones, a pc (with a bluetooth dongle), an ipad, a mac and an iphone with zero problems. * the battery lasts for absolute ages. I never really counted the hours, but i typically take it out for 4h or so every week when meeting friends, and it lasts for weeks. Cons* only one i can think of.
I don’t think i’ve ever really reviewed an item i’ve bought from amazon seriously but really felt like i needed to with this. I’m a university student who, which anyone who’s in a similar situation knows, has limited budget and room for a big stereo system. Whilst not an audiophile, i’ve recorded music before and know what sounds good and what doesn’t. I was completely blown away by this little speaker. From previous experience with portable speakers, i was expecting a lot less from the anker speakers. Everyone has a personal preference when it comes to an eq curve, but this speaker comes out the box sounding ‘perfect’ to me (for a speaker that fits in a pocket) lows are under control, highs are crisp but not too excessive, can anyone else not stand these big bass and treble boosts in most modern music?. Low-mids and miss sound similar to what i usually set on an eq. It’s loud enough, and stays clean up to top but starts to break up if you’re listening to a loud song at a high volume, don’t expect it to be the sole speaker at a party, but sat at a desk working or as background music, i don’t think you can go wrong at all buying this anker speaker.

Got this yesterday and so far the main problems seem to have been with the bluetooth link. Bought a bluetooth dongle to connect the speaker to my pc/laptop and to begin with it worked fine (a couple of hours moving around playing music successfully) then when i disconnected it and reconnected it i got the blue screen of death. Eventually after much webbing, i removed the software that came with the bluetooth dongle (cd download supplied with item), and it stopped crashing: apparently the windows 10 software for bluetooth was competing with the dongle cd software. Next problem was that when i turned it on again the next morning it seemed very intermittent despite trying power cycling and reconnecting several times, then didn’t want to re-connect at all. I connected it to my phone and it worked fine, so unpaired it and paired it to the laptop again: hey presto it works. (?) it also seems that each time you turn it off, you need to manually unpair and re-pair it with the source, which is annoying, but i don’t know if that is the bluetooth software as i don’t use bluetooth for much else on this pc, although my son’s wireless mouse is proper plug n play, so that bluetooth works better. So, in summary, when it works, it makes a pretty good sound with a reasonable amount of bass for such a small speaker although it’s not going to compete with heavy old hi-fi speakers with 8 inch cones, it seems to have plenty of charge to play for hours, solid heavy feel and nice casing, but has left me feeling that it is rather unstable/unreliable in connecting to the source. Hopefully it will settle down now but if it doesn’t it may have to go back.
Really great value, and fantastic volume boost. A bit too bass-y for my liking, but able to software tweak the eq settings on my macbook and iphone to compensate for most of it. If they could enable it to allow use of the usb to charge a smartphone, it would be an instant winner – bluetooth soundbar/backup battery pack in one devicealways satisfied with anker products, the one star knocked off was for the extreme bass – maybe it’s just my older ears don’t like it too much, but it’s an honest review, so i thought say it how i felt.
I have been very happy with my speaker and the performance is as good as i required. Not too easy finding out how to pair it up with my amazon echo dot but it suddenly sorted and it has been fine. My only criticism is the controls on the top and i just would prefer them to have been in white and more visible but i might be tempted to painting them carefully. Price is excellent for the output and worth every penny for the conversion made to the dot sounds.
This is a great speaker for its price point. However if you want something more powerful with depth and volume then i suggest spending a bit more. Packaging – the speakers come in a neatly packaged box, it would take no longer than 2 minutes to have everything out. This product comes with the speaker itself, a booklet and a usb cable (no charger sorry). Aesthetics – one of the reasons for picking this speaker is due to the design and ergonomic functions. This can be placed anywhere and fit in perfectly due to the small size – another reason why i chose it. While the rubber seems ‘odd’ at first, it helps with the grip which is beneficial for a portable speakerfunction – bluetooth is very fast. Once the the power button is held, it turns on and instantly begins to search for any available devices. No problems with this so far but only wished it had nfc.
It looks like it’s charging (red light) but doesn’t power on even after 15 hrs of charging. I’m going to exchange it, as it has very good reviews. I will write an update on that. I have ordered the second one and it works perfectly ok. The customer support is very good and contacted me quickly about the issue offering a replacement, however it looks like they have a faulty batch or some other issue that they need to resolve.
Build quality: fairly decent, feels nice in the hand and there are no loose or rattling componentssound quality: the output is quite good, although like most speakers it does start to distort at the highest volume. The battery seems to last but that is all dependent upon what volume you have it on, i haven’t actually noticed how long on average it does last.
Patented Sound Technology: Full-bodied stereo realized through dual full-range drivers and a unique patented spiral bass port.
Anker soundcore bluetooth speaker portable bluetooth 4. 0 stereo speaker with 24-hour playtime, 6w dual-driver, low harmonic distortion, patented bass port and built-in microphone for calls for iphone, ipod, ipad, samsung, lg and othersit’s by no means bad, but it does lack depth and some clarity. Reaches a decent volume before distortion though. I notice that bass is supposed to be an improvement on the second generation model so may be worth considering this instead for a fuller sound. While the sound may be rated a slightly generous three from me (with a bose soundlink mini at five as a size-for-size match), it’s a four overall because, at the price (£20. 98 black friday), you can’t go wrong – there’s certainly not a corresponding five to ten times reduction in sound quality. It’s a weighty (in a good way) unit, feels well-built and has a what should prove to be a durable soft-touch frame. For my needs as a rough and ready portable speaker for the workshop, it’s perfect. If you’re a real audiophile though, best save up a bit more and consider the soundcore 2 or the premium brands.
I’ve been a long time fan of anker products and i have never been disappointed yet. Each time i place my trust in this company i am rewarded with an excellent product. It gives a great fidelity of sound and can reach incredible volumes. I use this mainly for outside whilst i’m washing my car and it’s absolutely fantastic. You have to buy one to see how good it is really. I was very pleasantly surprised by how loud it can go without distorting the music. Battery life seems very good and charges fast. Don’t be fooled by its price tag, its equal to some very premium products i’ve previously bought. I will buy this product again.
This is the best bluetooth speaker i have ever used before and i have recommended it to my friends and family. It is really light and portable but offers really good sound and punchy bass, its surprisingly loud for such a small device and the sound it produces can easily fill a room. I’ve had mine for over a year now and the battery life is still good as ever, i’ve only charged it a few times since purchasing it and i use it all the time. It is quite rugged as well, its survived a rainy weekend at leeds fest and i’ve took it camping with me a few times as well. Definitely the best bluetooth speaker available for this price range.
Amazing sound, great sound, well made. I have a few anker products and they all seem to be pretty solid so no surprises. However after a few months of use ours has stopped taking a charge which is a shame. The charging port seems to have disintegrated; like another reviewer i had the metal band around the port break and the pins have bent to the extent it won’t charge anymore. I’m generally quite careful with my electronics and i don’t force the charger in (what’s the saying. It’s always the right way round the third time you try to plug it in) unfortunately the unit is beyond saving. A real shame as it was a really good little unit, i was impressed enough to buy a few as gifts over the last year. We are currently running down the last charge on the poor little guy.
Let’s be clear: this is good for a £30 speaker and that’s about it. It’s perfect for my purpose, which is sitting on my desk at low volume listening to the radio during the work day. If i make a call on the same phone from which i’m connecting it mutes the radio and i get a choice as to whether i want to use the phone, anker, or headphones to make the call. If you’re looking for great quality you should spend more. Personally, this is one end of the spectrum, and i’m going to spend a few hundred £ to get a great quality speaker for more critical listening.
I can say without a doubt this is the best portal bluetooth speaker for the price. Audio-it has a very clear tone to each instrument pumped out of these tiny speakers, with good mids, highs and the bass is very acceptable. They are not perfect by any chance, but they are still damn impressive. Bluetooth-bluetooth is very easy to setup, i have not experienced any lag/delay even with the phone in the pocket or being 5-10 metres away. Battery-well, this is where the speaker comes into its own element of expertise. Holy damn this lasts forever when just connected via aux. I use this speaker alot, i mean alot. I have managed to run it for at least 90+hrs without a charge. If you dont own a bluetooth speaker, buy it.
I found the sound on this speaker lacking in a bit of punch with its bass and so felt the need to return it. However i received some first class follow up customer service from anker when they learnt of my disappointment with the product and as a result have now got to hear the soundcore2 speaker which i highly recommend. Anker went out of their way to ensure i was happy and can therefore fully recommend them for delivering great customer satisfaction.
Groundbreaking Battery Life: 24-hour / 500-song playtime powered by a built-in high capacity Li-ion battery and Anker’s innovative power management technology.
I was looking for a music system for my kitchen when i was advised by friends to buy a bluetooth speaker to link to my phone. I knew nothing about them and was recommended this one. For a total technophobe it is really easy to use. Although it is compact the music is very clear and not tinny. I’m glad i purchased this as it give me much more choices than a static music system. I can take the speaker wherever i want to listen to music or the radio. I would definitely recommend this.
Sounds great, paired first time with my echo dot. Battery lasted 4 days so very happy with that.
Connects, plays, feels- all greathowever, during gaps in tracks or when connected to bluetooth but not playing music it intermittently emits loud crackling bursts or hissing noises. I am hoping this is a fault rather than a ‘feature’ although i have noted that several other reviews have noted similar issues. This spoils an otherwise great product as its not great to use, particularly at night or in quiet surroundingswill get a replacement and see if it’s betterupdatei was contacted anker with an apology and an assurance that they had had a small number of similar faults, and offered me a free replacement to try. I have had it a few days and the replacement is so much better. No signs of static or crackling even at high volume. They haven’t asked me to update my review and a free replacement was given without any clauses or conditions, so having go that sorted i thought that it would be useful to give it a proper review as an honest update of my last one. First impressions of the look, feel weight and finish remains excellent. I like the simple design and the matt black rubberised finish, even if the branding is on the large side, it’s a great size for packing and travelling, and the reported long battery has so far proven to be pretty good. Would have preferred that power and aux connections were at the rear for a cleaner look, but they are on the rh side- it is what it is. Bluetooth range is excellent; it pairs straight away and has so far remembered sources every time.
Great product sounds very good for the price. I would say almost the same sound quality as the equivalent as the bose system. Just missing a little bit of the bass response. The speaker seems to be very well built and has a soft touch covering. As far as i can tell there isn’t a skip button on the top of the device. The buttons in general have a nice pressure and click to them. There is an audible tone when the device is turned on and a blue indicator led that lights up behind the metal grill on the front of the device. This grill seems to be made of a fairly thick metal and has a anker logo painted on the front. Overall the device seems a good bit of kit and i would definitely recommend the product if someone was looking for a high quality portable speaker.
Anker products were fairly recently introduced to me when i needed a turbo charger for an android phone. Having tested that and liked it i decided to see what other products they offered and ended up finding this little gem. It’s fairly compact, lightweight and the battery life lives up to expectations. This doesn’t however diminish the sound quality as it has a fairly good bass and has its own adjustable sound apart from the device it’s connected to. Bluetooth is connect and play, just connect via bluetooth and you’ll have the sound streaming from your device fairly quickly. It also sets up to pair with known devices when switched on and off so once paired it doesn’t need doing a second time unless you erase the settings. The 10m range is also fairly flexible, working with quite high quality through one or two walls. Good if you want music in the kitchen but can’t bring the desktop downstairs. I was rather unfortunate and the speaker encountered an error during a song and wouldn’t connect to bluetooth at all. I then went through the anker website to request a replacement and got a very quick and polite response.
I originally wanted something smallish that could be carried in a bag for a variety of reasons (gym music, garden, out and about with the kids etc. ) and was very very impressed by this little speaker. I’ll be totally honest, i read the line ‘up to 24 hours battery life’ and thought it was laughable, but it really is true. I’ve been using it mostly everyday for around 4 weeks and have charged it only a handful of times, it just doesn’t run outunpacking and setting up was a simple affair, just took it out of the box (it had a little charge in already to get me going), pressed the bluetooth button (my phone found and paired with it straight away), and had music pumping in under a minute. For a little compact speaker it really does pack a punch, with the bass kicking (i mostly listen to dance music) and the crisp tweeters, the sound clarity is ace, especially at full volume which it gladly doesn’t distort at – no more fiddling with the volume or eq to find an optimal balance of volume and bass. The unit itself has power, volume up/down, play/pause and bluetooth buttons across the top which blend in to the rubberised coating but give a satisfying click when pressed. As my anker speaker has been previously paired with my phone, when i turn the speaker on it connects automatically if it’s in range which is a very nice touch so i can to work with music straight away, no waiting to connect each time i wish to use it. The bluetooth range is fairly good, about what you would expect from bluetooth – although i have been building at the moment so have been in and out of rooms, i would imagine a clear line of sight would improve the range somewhat – but there is an aux in (headphone jack) on the side, so devices without bluetooth connectivity can be easily connected to the speaker too. As well as the aux in, on the side there is also an led indicator with a variety of flashing combinations for things like, power on, searching for devices, charging etc, as well as the micro usb charging port and mic. The speaker supports hands free for phone calls and is pretty clear, i’ve had no problems so far, the playback pauses, the call is clear and the playback restarts after the call has ended. Simpleas previously mentioned, i’m mostly using it at the moment for background music (well, i say background, on full volume it’s quite loud, so you’d have to turn it down for it to be ‘background’ music), and must confess to accidentally knocking it around and dropping it a few times, but it is amazingly resilient. The thick rubber coating is very forgiving for bumps and scrapes and the solid construction gives me every confidence that it’s going to last. I can’t say anything for anker as a company as i’ve had no problems with their product so haven’t had to have any dealings with them, but all in all, i am hugely impressed with this little speaker that seems to have some sort of ‘little man’ complex, so obnoxiously tough and loud in such a small frameas a dj i like my audio and would definitely buy more of these, in fact i have, one for the house/garden, one for the kids playhouse and one for out and about in the car. The sound is solid, bassy and crisp.
Bluetooth 4.0: Instantly pair to your smartphone, tablet or to any Bluetooth compatible device and start streaming lossless CD-quality sound from up to 66 feet away. SoundCore reconnects automatically to the last device used.
I bought this as a space saver, but it’s very much more than that. Soundcore instantly paired with my android phone for superb mobile music outdoors. The build quality is excellent: very solid, with a reassuring heft. Once paired and adjusted, the sound quality and volume is better than some (much more expensive) wired desktop speaker sets. With my windows 10 machine, the soundcore paired as a headset rather than desktop speakers, which limited sound quality to ‘telephone’, but this is very easily fixed. To enable cd quality sound, click start (windows menu) >devices and printers >right click ‘anker soundcore’ >select properties >open ‘services’ tab >uncheck ‘handsfree telephony’ >click ‘ok’. This is a peculiarity in windows and not a limitation of the soundcore. The change takes about 20 seconds and should not dissuade you from buying this excellent device.
An incredible piece of kit at a fantastic price. Sound quality is rich and the device has a good range. Quick to charge and easy to pair with all of my music sources. Sadly, after a year of fairly continual use as i listen to a lot of podcasts and music, the device stopped pairing. I assumed that, at this price, the customer service/warranty would be non-existent. I could not have been more wrong. Within just two emails, one from me to raise the issue and another to supply requested information, a replacement was agreed and despatched. I’ve spent ten times this amount on other kit only to be treated like dirt if/when there was an issue – these guys showed respect and customer service beyond the basichighly recommended anker soundcore bluetooth speaker portable bluetooth 4. 0 stereo speaker with 24-hour playtime, 6w dual-driver, low harmonic distortion, patented bass port and built-in microphone for calls for iphone, ipod, ipad, samsung, lg and others.
Purchased this as a gift for a family member and i am blown away with how this performs. The battery and range on this device are superb. Comparing this to my current bose wireless speaker, it is considerably better on this front. The speaker gets suitably loud and for its price the sound quality is good. Don’t expect this to blow your mind from a sound quality perspective but it is considerably better than alternatives in this price range. As always, another quality product from anker.
So i’ve had this a couple of years now and decided it needed reviewing again. This has to be one of the best portable speakers i have ever used, if not the best out of any of them. The charge lasts forever and the sound quality is second to none. This has coped with several environments, it lives in the shower room most of the year so coped well with humidity. The rest of the time it comes along for traveling or when sun bathing in the garden/park. It’s coped perfectly with temperatures hitting mid 40s for long periods of time as well as winter windowsill lows from being in the shower room. It’s been dropped, bashed about in haul luggage etc and not even showing any signs of scuffs or damage. I have to mention the battery once more because it’s amazing. I literally charge it once every three weeks when it’s having heavy usage. It just works without issue and usually i only charge for an hour even thenthe clarity of the audio is clear, rich and also the bass is too.
Bought as an external speaker for my new samsung kitchen tv, which has rubbish sound. Easy to connect via the aux socket and sounds great. Loses a star because, when connected via aux, the blue light flashes constantly and it’s impossible to turn it off. ‘solved’ with a piece of black tape, but not ideal.
I bought the anker soundcore speaker for my holidays. Before leaving i tested it, although the quality was there, i decided it did not quite pack enough bass. I was able to return it and bought the soundcore 2 instead (designed for extra bass). Quite an improvement, although a similar size unit with 2 forward-facing circular speakers, the soundcore 2 also has a central bass-focussed square-shaped speaker. It gives a great tone and enough base for me now. I use it mostly in my bedroom and it’s ideal. Plus its easily portable and travels wherever i go. Living with the speaker few weeks now, i love the automatic connection. Just turn on the speaker and it automatically connects straight to my iphone. Also, when connected, my iphone displays a little icon showing the battery level of the speaker. That’s a sweet feature, although the battery lasts ages. As well as better sound and more bass, the soundcore 2 also has its micro-usb and aux-in connectors covered with a rubber cover. I’ve got to say, for the money this thing is brilliant.
I bought this 11 months ago and it’s an awesome speaker. Today, completely out of the blue it stopped working. I’ve always looked after it, kept it on a shelf in my bedroom so i don’t understand why it would just die. After leaving this review anker contacted me and sent me another brand new replacement speaker. Very happy with my new speaker.
Simply unbelievable sound from such a small unit. Shouldn’t be surprised as bought its small brother the cube and that sound was spot on too. Great for listening round the house and took it to a bbq recently and it stole the show. 1st thing i pack when i’m on my holidays.
I have bought a fair few bluetooth speakers over the years including bose. I needed something that was small and unobtrusive that would sit on the table in a newly built summerhouse (nothing like a quality summer to enjoy it). I didn’t want anything expensive as my intention was to leave the speaker in there. I did a number of searches and finally decided on the anker soundcore, to be frank my expectations were reasonably low, it’s a small speaker so wasn’t expecting linn type audio. When it arrived i was first surprised at its size, it is a neat little speaker and is very well made, i fired it up and connected my iphone within 15 seconds – no instructions needed. I was totally surprised at the sound that this little thing gave off, it’s hard to figure out how such a tiny speaker can give such great audio. The battery life as mentioned in the description is brilliant and you can look on your iphone to see current percentage available. I’ve connected this thing to my iphone, ipad and mac without any problems and it’s incredibly simple to use. I didn’t buy it for handsfree calls so can’t comment on that but when my phone rings it comes through the speaker and it’s necessary to disconnect the bluetooth when using my iphone to have a private conversation. Overall i am well chuffed with my purchase, it’s exactly what i wanted and also exceeded my expectations.
For the price, size and quality i give it a straight 5 stars. I am very impressed with the sound quality, for its clear, rich and warm sound; it has a superb balance of treble and bass and oftentimes hard to believe what comes out of this speaker for the small size that it is. I have sampled a wide range of music on this from pop, rock, folk, ambient, alternative, easy listening, classical, soundtrack, dance, club, etc and it’s a non-hesitant thumbs-up. It took me 3 hours to decide what speaker to go for, after having sifted through numerous reviews of various brands. The 1200 (approximately) reviews of this product are true to their word. Of course, you are going to get some reviews where customers are dissatisfied with the bass, but in all fairness, if that is an issue where you want bass to vibrate the entire room (and house), then for goodness sake buy much larger speakers (hi-fi and above size). Bear in mind the outstanding price of this bluetooth speaker; of course you are going to get enhanced quality when you spend a £100 and over, but for this little beast in disguise, i would highly recommend purchasing it. You will not be disappointed.
