Sony XS-FB1030 10 cm 4-Inch 3 way Co-Axial Speaker System – Very good speakers.

Good but i am not that impressed with them. Good but i am not that impressed with them ,not as good as the 17 cm 3 way sony speakers in the front door,s.

Something that sounds like tapping your thighs. Me-thinks these speakers are overrated, by a long shot. Xtra-bass can only be interpreted into (did you just break wind?) something that sounds like tapping your thighs. To put it bluntly, these speakers don’t do a slugfest they’ll just jab. And jab all day long is what they’ll do. All the meat on the bone has gone. The mid-to-high range is fantastic though. Good clarity in vocals and acoustics. Feel a bit cheated by other reviews, but you never know ’till you try for yourself. Take care and enjoy your music.

Here are the specifications for the Sony XS-FB1030 10 cm 4-Inch 3 way Co-Axial Speaker System:

    to make sure this fits.
  • 220 watts peak power output
  • 30 watts RMS nominal input power
  • 3-way coaxial speaker setup
  • ferrite magnet construction

They have good treble and volume, but the bass is low. They’re 4′ since but should still have a little more punch than what i’ve heard.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Quality as expected for a Sony speaker –

  • Impressed. Sound better than they look!

Awesome sound, crystal clear sound and they fit in the existing place where my cars original speakers were.

They’re great, but weren’t compatible with my car so for that reason, returning them. But don’t be put off how good they are. I getting the 4inch model to fit the rear speakers. And then getting another for the front doors.

My son is very happy with the purchase bought for his new car, speakers are clear and crisp.

Sound better than they look. Being middle of the range models, i didn’t really expect much from these speakers other than they should be a lot better than the stock speakers in my smart fortwo. They looked rather ordinary in the packaging being fairly light and very shallow, shallower even than the stock speakers they were replacing. The cone material is also very weird. It appears to be some kind of expanded polystyrene obviously reinforced in some way. Anyway they went in as any 6. However any impressions i had of mediocrity were dispelled the first time i heard them, they sounded way better than i expected with clear sharp vocals and great high frequency extension. Even the bass was way better than i expected for such shallow tiny speakers.

Quality as expected for a sony speaker -. They look very sharp in black and white in my white van – compared to the old x-plode 6×9’s i used to have in an old mini – which had red cones)put these in the rear of my van – it’s hard to say how good they are yet as it’s completely gutted and in process of sound proofing / carpeting. As a result, i’ve had the system up louder than normal (when driving above 30) – and the sound is great, but i cant (yet) pick out the base. I didn’t really fancy going as far as a sub and amp and all that, just stereo with 2 up front and 2 out back, and i hope that when the vans is finished internally, that these will come into their own – they sound great in the stationary vehicle at the moment (incl base). Easy fit with useful template – came with screws, but no sprung washer/fixing clips – lucky i had some to hand anyway but bit surprised.

Replaced my clio standard speakers with these.

Great sound quality, easy to install, not quite as mush bass as i expected but didnt matter as i have a seperate sub.
