I have swapped out my sony 5. 1 surround for this and although i’m happy with it its never going to replace a true surround sound set up. After a day of tweaking the bass and treble on the bar and finding the right sub level i think i’ve got the best i can out of it. The vocals are clear and mid and bass are good. Very handy having 3 hdmi inputs in it to connect to the satellite box, ps3 and ps4 and one hdmi out to send everything up to the tv, if this doesn’t work for your set up there is an optical lead supplied in the box. All in all i’m happy with it, wireless sub and bluetooth connectivity for phones is handy for music. Don’t expect it to blow your mind if you are replacing your surround sound, but it’s 100 times better than flat screen tv speakers.
Its sony its great build quality. Its sony its great build quality. . Its not mind blowing quality but then again its not £800just great.
Having had a panasonic sound bar not very happy with the sound i purchased this sony sound bar. Having had a panasonic sound bar not very happy with the sound i purchased this sony sound bar and after using this now for a while this to me sounds great.
After buying a new tv i realised the sound wasn’t up to the standard of the picture so looked for sound bar to match. This one is easy to set up with the base speaker being linked by bluetooth no cables are needed. Watched a few movies since i got this last week and the sound is now as great as the tv picture.
Great sound at last from my sony tv which was hooked up to a cheaper samsung device. The sub woofer is wireless and more or less tunes itself in and can be placed remotely from the sound bar. Only one cable from tv to link up sounbar on my particular sony tele.Youtube music is great and the bar brings movies to life especially through bluray player. Football matches are good and volume and audio can be adjusted to suit the type of program you are watching. Looks seriously good and doesn’t distract in terms of information showing discretely on the bar when playing.
Sony HT-CT370 2.1 Channel 300w Soundbar – Silver : I looked into a lot of sound bars for my living room tv – it’s positioned in a corner, and the back facing speakers just let the sound get swallowed up, so we had to constantly turn up the tv if we wanted to hear. The main reason in getting a sound bar was so that it would act as forward speakers, and also of course, being able to play music without turning the tv on is excellent. This sony was not my first choice – actually, i didn’t even see them until after i had to return a jvc product not for the sound, but because it kept connecting and disconnecting from any device it was paired with, including the tv it was actually linked to. But i’m so glad that we exchanged them for this. The sony sound bar is lovely. It’s a great size, it looks good and blends in, it’s un-obstructive and most of all – it’s sounds great. You basically just plug it in, connect one lead to the tv, and you’re good to go. You can mount it, or sit it in front of the tv, and that’s it. It comes with an easy remote that actually works (the jvc one was awful) – you can turn the subwoofer volume up and down separately to the regular sound, you can choose sound fields standard, movie, game, music, p.
