Join sony box to television through hdmi cable – thenconnect optical cable from sony box to freeview box (spidif connection – it can be the same as optical . ) functions a take care of : ) make absolutely sure you configure your tv set configurations to surround sound / av audio in any other case you will be scratching your head : / cheers, freddie.

Unquestionably really like the product or service, it sounds wonderful and appears to be actually excellent as well. As outlined in other responses, the tall speakers are the entrance ones with no possibility to swap due to cable size, but that functions unquestionably fine for me.

Necessary extra instructions a faq to established it up. But this great and it is a great up quality.

The reason for the 4 stars and not a 5 is the sound lvls it says a 1000watts but sadly its rms and probably close to 25 in real terms and seems quieter than my old setup, still its not a bad sound overall in fact it makes concert films especially a couple of the bd ones seem like i’m actually in the front row. I read up a bit beforehand and was a bit worried about cable lengths even though my room is i guess small compared to most i tend to put the cables thru a scenic route to the back of the unit and had to extend the satellite speakers last time round but not with this there was more than enough. Now looking forwards to getting a few films to watch and hopefully start yet another collection.

Sony bdv-e4100 1000 w 5. 1 cinema sound system. I purchased this unit to replace my 10 year old sony dav-dz700fw 5. 1 home theatre system utilising an ir link to the rear speakers which are mounted on raised stems. Great to have dispensed with long lead runs to the rear speakers. The new unit uses hard wiring to all speakers and the rear speakers require wall mounting or shelf placement since there are no stems to elevate them. The performance, however, matches that of my old unit and the blueray + wifi + hdmi facilities provided the main incentive to update the audio set-up. Imagine my disappointment to discover that itv and channel 4 apps were not available. So, with wiring clutter and a partial “catch-up” tv facility it would seem that there has been only marginal technological progress over 10 years.

***wow***this is an amazing product. Took 10 minutes to set up, you’ll need to purchase a toslink cable and hdmi cable (both cheap on here) to be able to get it going then go into the tv settings and choose the hdmi audio input then you’re good to go. We chose a “batman the dark knight” trailer as the tester and we were left with our jaws dropped. The bass from the sub was like being in the cinema. I then hooked it up to my phone using the bluetooth function and again it exceeded expectationswould 100% recommend.

      • Absolutely love the product, it sounds amazing and looks really good too. As mentioned in other comments, the tall speakers are the front ones with no option to swap due to cable length, but that works absolutely fine for me.
  4. Good but not worth the money. I woudnt advise anyone to buy one. When sound is such a big detail, then don’t it’s not the best if it was £100 then it’s worth it but 299 or what ever way over priced.
