Excellent audio – can not advise ample.

I bought this machine from another provider,which meant i did not have to hold out and it was a minor more affordable. It comes perfectly boxed with a manual. No hdmi only an optical relationship. Fantastic mid array seem bar. Fantastic mid vary seem bar – comes complete with wall bracket and optical cable – extremely effortless to put bracket up experienced the complete matter up and managing in five minutes. Only slight inconvience is it can often switch to ‘bluetooth’ method when you are using your cell in close proximity to the unit even when watching tv. Other than that seem high quality is excellent, spoken term is crystal distinct and it has made a major big difference to our viewing encounter.

Excellent sound bar feeble distant. I had a minimal difficulty environment up but when this was carried out, the sound bar worked very well. The principal cause i have not specified it 5 stars is mainly because of the weak distant. The good news is i have a programmable distant with my pvr which now is programmed to work the sound bar and it performs from a greater length. The device fits nicely in the tv cabinet under the tv set. I have a significant television set and as a result a huge cupboard, some smaller seem bars would have appeared lost & i did not want a different bass speaker. This sounder generates enough bass for my flavor.

    Can be excellent, but not consistently. . Really impressive sound at first, but:- then you notice the very top frequencies are missing e. Any sibilance in the recording or very highest psss of cymbals. – too much bass for my taste and can get a little muddled in lowest frequencies if multiple sounds/instruments. Even when we’ll away from wall – needs a tone control to calm it down. But with alot of recordings you might not experience the above, and with these it’s impressive at the price (though i’d go for same price bookshelf speakers if music comes first for you).

    Functions ok but the rubber feet have stained the wooden. Functions ok but the rubber feet have stained the wooden unit it stands on due to the rubber migrating into wood. Manufacturer needs to use something other than rubber for feet that will not stain what ever the soundbar stands on.
    • Great sound, easy installation. . Easy connection with other bluetooth devices so works well if having a party or friends over for playing music. Installation was fairly straightforward.

    Excellent mid range sound bar. Excellent mid range sound bar – comes complete with wall bracket and optical cable – very easy to put bracket up had the whole thing up and running in 5 minutes. Only minor inconvience is it can sometimes switch to “bluetooth” mode when you are using your mobile near the unit even when watching tv. Other than that sound quality is great, spoken word is crystal clear and it has made a big difference to our viewing experience.

    Good sound bar feeble remote. I had a little trouble setting up but once this was done, the sound bar worked well. The main reason i have not given it 5 stars is because of the poor remote. Luckily i have a programmable remote with my pvr which now is programmed to operate the sound bar and it works from a greater distance. The unit fits well in the tv cabinet under the tv. I have a large tv and hence a wide cabinet, some smaller sound bars would have looked lost & i did not want a separate bass speaker. This sounder generates ample bass for my taste.
    • I was originally looking to buy the samsung (urgh) hw-h750 with the valve amplifier and external sub, but was directed to this instead. . British design and sublime power and sound. I must admit that reading that it is ‘only’ 100w of speaker power, i wasn’t holding my breath for volume, clarity or bass. How wrong i was- this soundbar seriously rocks with music via bluetooth or pumping out the soundtrack from a blu ray. I did have the chance to temporarily hook up an external sub, although it didn’t overwhelm the soundbar, it really isn’t necessary. If you’re in the market for a soundbar and wireless speaker in one, you really won’t go far wrong with this.

I read an awful lot of reviews on sound bars before going for the media 4, as much as i wanted a hassle free home cinema experience, what was most important to me was an authoritative, engaging and immersive sound that’s equally as good with movies and music, and the media 4 certainly delivers. To really put the media 4 through its paces i decided to give it two different media source tests, both of which i know very well, one of my all time favorite movies, force 10 from navarone, and one of my all time favorite games, the last of us. The beginning of force 10 and the bombastic theme was very well handled, and during the scene were the lancaster was shot down, the media 4 did a very good job of moving the sound across the screen. In the last of us its melancholy and haunting theme was engaging to hear and the media 4 really immersed me in the apocalypse without struggling to separate voices, i constantly kept hearing voices and effects i’d never heard before. The gun shots from both sources were both incredibly explosive and very clear, the media 4 does an amazing job of separating the sound, so everything sounds very relaxed and composed, never rushed or squashed, it does however need a fair volume to really get in to its stride, but when it does the media 4 sounds truly spectacular. The goodequally as good with sound effects and music. Immersive and authoritative sound. Sounds exquisite when loud enough to get into stride (everybody will find that point at a different level). Stylish and very good build quality.

    Just how i like audio gear – r&d put into the sound and build quality rather than a trillion rubbish user options and flashing thingies. This unit is proper loud, without struggling in the slightest, so there’s obviously stacks of headroom. The sound is reassuringly uncoloured and pretty good for music as well as tv audio. Only had for a couple of months, but very chuffed so far. I’ve never had full surround, so i can’t compare, but this unit completely changes the experience of watching a flat screen tv, even one with better than average built in speakers.

    Worth the extra money little bigger than expected but well worth it wow.
    • Got a sony sony kdl-40w605 40″ tv and as nice as it was. I recently got a sony sony kdl-40w605 40″ tv and as nice as it was, the sound lacked definition and punch. I had a look at (reviews) and listened to a lot of soundbars, both cheaper and more expensive, but ended up buying the m4 as the clear winner for quality/value for money. I use the term value sparringly, the bar costs as much as the tv itself. But i chose the tv because of size constraints and wasn’t going to compromise on sound. Really glad i got the m4, it delivered in a massive way. It sounds superb as soon as you crank it up slightly, making speech, effects and music utterly superb. There is little you can do to describe a sound in writing. I wish i could, because i can’t think of praise high enough. If it’s in your budget, do yourself a favour and check it out.
