Q Acoustics 2010i Award Winning Bookshelf Speakers in Walnut – Good small speakers

Bought these to connect to amp and pc, left them to run quietly over night, the following morning turned them up a bit and wow. Would not place them too close to walls as they are rear ported but foam plugs are supplied which dull down any booms if you have no other option. Finish is excellent and feels really solidly built. Would happily recommend these to anyone great purchase and now looking to buy another set, delivery was excellent and well packaged.

Stylish and good quality speakers. . Great sound and lovely looking speakers. I think these are a lovely product.

Really pleased with these speakers. I have not got a lot of room to put speakers, they look good, sound expensive.

I’ve only tried the speakers briefly and not in their final position, but i’m very impressed so far by the overall sound quality and the quality & depth of bass these tiny speakers deliver. I also bought the matching wall brackets so i hope the sound may be better still when the speakers are firmly fitted in their final position. I bought them from peter tyson via amazon who use dpd for delivery. I was given a 1 hour delivery slot on the delivery day which was met on time.

Manufacturers recommend inserting the bared ends of cable into the screw. As claimed, the speakers have a pleasant open sound, producing a stereo image that seems to come from a space beyond the speakers. Two foam bungs are provided, to adjust the bass when the speakers are mounted with their backs close to the wall, and it is worth experimenting with these. Although the speaker terminals will accept banana plugs, manufacturers recommend inserting the bared ends of cable into the screw binding posts. It seems that banana plugs for hi-fi are forbidden in mainland europe because they could be inadvertently inserted into a standard 240v round pin mains socket. Standard (square pin) british mains sockets have safety shutters to prevent this, yet the rule seems to be extended to the uk.

Reasonable sound from 2 way small speakers, surprisingly more base than my older 1020 larger model but not quite as powerful.

Bought these to go with our new denon midi system and we are totally impressed with the sound quality. We were reluctant to move from our old separates system to a midi system because of the massive power output our old one had – however we took the plunge and have not looked back. Our new system along with these speakers is modern and discreet but the sound is still of a fantastic quality with all the power we could ever want.

  1. Good sound from these speakers. . Am using these with a denon unit, and am very pleased with the performance of these to date. There is a good tone, and a solid, heavyish quality feel about them. Recommended, but i must point out that i have only used them for one month.

Extremely good loudspeakers for the price & pleasing to the eye. Compact enough for discrete placing in your environment, not too intrusive.

Q acoustics 2010i book shelf speakers. I am very pleased with these speakers. I found it very difficult to choose which speakers to buy to go with my new denon cd player and amplifier. These speakers are not the cheapest but they have a nice tone ,perform very well and look good.
    • How do they do it for this price. Amazing speakers for the price, you could add £100 and still be pleased. Their strengths is that they present the music as a complete cohesive package with very good rhythm and timing. If you close your eyes you think you are listening to bigger speakers as they have a great sense of scale, and – and. They are transparent and detailed too. Like i say i just do not how they do it for £130. Don’t expect oodles of trouser flapping bass, they are tuneful and insightful when it comes to bass so bass freaks should look elsewhere, proper audiophiles will love them though. I put my whole range of music through them from beethoven and bantock to blondie and pink floyd, i even put some frank sinatra through them (sounded great on vocals/brass) – they were not bothered, but i have to say i think their lean balance is suited to rock and classical where the midrange really sings. You will not be disappointed.
      • Great set of bookshelf stype speakers with quality sound. I used these to replace a set of panasonic speakers on an old denon amp, and the result was significant. The sound quality from these speakers really made a real difference.
  4. Just wonderful with my denon hofo unit, they sound just perfect in my living room. Well balanced with good bass if required.

Pretty little speakers with a very enjoyable sound. I have bought these speakers about 6 months ago and i am still not tired of listening to them. That is perhaps the biggest compliment i can give them. But you obviously want to know more about this product, so here we go. The speakers arrived in a cardboard box that didn’t exactly look fancy, but it did the job protecting them. Also included in the box was a manual telling you how to install them and what settings to use on your receiver. The first thing you will notice when you take the speakers out of the box is how solid they feel, and how pretty the walnut finish is. I can only compare it to the graphite one (haven’t seen the glossy versions), but the walnut one is way better looking. Personally i prefer their look with the grille on, but you can also take it off if you want. But the most important part about a speaker is sound quality, of course.

Brilliant sound and posh looks too. Great service from the supplier, highly recommended. I have them as a middle set of 9 and although sat on the floor, they reproduce the effects just as i expected.
