Philips BTS7000/10 Fidelio Wireless Studio Speakers, Not a happy experience

In these days of moveable tunes players, most of our music is now saved possibly on line or on a cellular phone or mp3 player. Sitting at household with the spouse and children with headphones on is not truly conducive to being a family members and listening together is a far nicer social practical experience. That led me to look for a way we could al listen at household though having a first rate high-quality seem. These speakers weigh in beautifully, they are tiny adequate not to look intrusive, they have an spectacular electrical power output and deliver a high-quality sound. I began by pairing my apple iphone with them and was blown away by the sound i listened to, obvious higher registers and a cleanse but rich bass tone, exceptional presented the lossiness of creating some digital tunes formats and the wireless backlink concerning the speakers and my cellphone. The tale doesn’t finish there although, i have other equipment with optical output so i linked them up, the tv sounds stunningthe choices on the marketplace these days are sounders and personally i do not like the way they look, these are elegant, more my concept of a speaker and sound excellent.

Fantastic seem – specifically in the bass ranges. . Outstanding seem – primarily in the bass ranges. There was a time when location up speakers was a nightmare of tangled wires. The location up of these speakers is simplicity alone, even for a non-audiophile like me. 1) hook up the two speakers jointly with the provided wire, two) join the appropriate speaker to the mains, with the cable provided,3) link the still left speaker to your audio product – either using bluetooth or a appropriate cable (not provided). (the speakers are obviously marked as ‘l’ and ‘r’ on the back again panel. The assortment of relationship selections is extremely excellent from optical to 3. 5mm jack to bluetooth to audio cable. I use these speakers with my sky tv set set up.

Philips BTS7000/10 Fidelio Wireless Studio Speakers – Grey

  • 100W maximum output power
  • Digital Sound Control for optimized music style settings
  • Bluetooth (aptX and AAC) for wireless music streaming
  • One-Touch with NFC-enabled smartphones for Bluetooth pairing
  • Luxurious cloth perfectly defined for best sound performance

Conventional, wooden speakers with a superior sound and a myriad of connections. These speakers stand about 30cm (1 foot in old income) tall so are not to be confused with the ubiquitous micro-speakers. They are housed in a common wood case, creating them equally heavier than expected but stable also, not likely to be knocked around by the cat. 1 speaker is the ‘master’ with controls cleverly incorporated into the wood ‘lid’ the other is connected to this grasp through a thick cable. I would have most well-liked both of those speakers to converse wirelessly hence steering clear of this cable. I have only experimented with them so significantly employing bluetooth from my android telephone which related with no concerns and sounded very good but not good. I detected a distinctive mid-array ‘gap’ which i’m heading to discover more with some other music resources just in circumstance it is my phone. That claimed, these speakers seem quite very good, with a tight bass and clear treble the distant lets you modify this but with no sign of what the setting is you just have to set it ‘by ear’, rather literally. Volume is abundant, and even at large volumes i detected no distortion.

These nfc/bluetooth speakers from philips audio superb and are extremely uncomplicated to use. Relationship to a television set as an substitute to applying a seem-bar is really creditable and seem from my television sounds much improved. On the other hand, and this is the identifying aspect and the motive why they will not be taking pride of area in my dwelling area – my spouse will not like the appear or sizing of them – for a start they are hideously cloth bound – my wife says they search like they are covered in cheap black sack cloth. The tops are finished in wood but not black, a light brown – this, i have to confess makes them glimpse alternatively affordable and unpleasant. So great seem but hideous layout. These are high quality priced speakers and actually they are not concluded, in my view, to the high quality a single would assume if paying out this amount of money of dollars. You require to see these in the flesh just before you make a selection to invest in.

Stunning speakers that really don’t really cut it for film and tv set. The fidelio e2 (bts7000) speakers are stylish in variety and perform, simple to use and actually satisfying to listen to for music. Regretably overpowering bass and muffled dialogue means they are significantly from the finest option for flicks and television set. If you just want to use these as luxuriously pricey bluetooth speakers, they’re definitely easy. All you will need to do is plonk the cloth-and-wooden-clad towers the place you will need them, plug a person into the mains, and run a wire above to the other. You can then swap them on, convert them more than to bluetooth and control the volume applying absolutely nothing but the buttons on the still left speaker, and they assist the right standards for large-excellent audio from apple or android gadgets. There is certainly even a usb port which will cost your product when the speakers are turned on. The replica on music is beautiful rich, warm, area-filling audio. I have experimented with jazz, rock, and classical songs and they all seem organic and enjoyable. The mellow audio was specifically wonderful when listening to xmas classics when we set up our tree this 12 months.

Philips BTS7000/10 Fidelio Wireless Studio Speakers – Grey : I ordered these especially for using as a ‘surround sound’ system for my tv. Firstly i had to order a couple of leads so they would work as i wanted them to,firstly a hdmi (arc) lead, and just in case that didn’t work an optical lead (all fully explained in the instructions)the leads arrived a couple of days later and i set the system up with the hdmi (arc) lead and. (see following brackets) ok i tried the optical lead. Sadly my tv (though only 5 yrs old) didn’t have the correct sockets. After this i only had one idea left and that was to use the audio lead from my phono leads, which i already had a couple of. Resultthe sound from the tv is now excellent, though it wasn’t too bad originallythe mini remote control supplied with the speakers is slightly worrying as it is a little fragile looking. But the speakers are a fine looking pair, the left hand speaker has controls fitted into and controlled by the top, very handythe sound itself is very good and can be adjusted via the remote ie, bass and treble can be altered to your specific tastes.

  1. As a technical doofus i really struggled to connect these. I don’t think “wireless” gives you the correct impression as i’ve had to introduce a multi plug extension cable to the tv area because these speakers have to be plugged in. I also had to buy a multi core cable to connect the speakers to each other as it wasn’t provided – not a big expense but something you should know if you are considering these speakers. Unless you have an arc plug in on the tv you will need to buy accessories to connect speakers to tv. Cables limit the distance you can place them away from the tv. I wanted these to improve the sound quality on my 2 year old lg smart tv, but it appears that it doesn’t have the arc plug which is the primary recommended method of connecting these up. The manual is pretty useless because it can’t give any instructions as to the tv end since models vary so widely. In the end i had to get a more technically minded person to look at it and connect it up for me – involving the purchase of yet more wires. I’m not keen on the look of the speakers because the tops are a rather nasty retro wood.
    • Good sound quality, but let down in some easily-solved areas. My opinion on these speakers is decidedly mixed. Aesthetically, i can’t say i’m impressed. Rough cloth-wrap has largely been abandoned for speakers, and for good reason – it attracts fluff, threads and dust. The wooden end caps are smooth and clean, but overall, the general impression is somewhat 70’s – it may suit some tastes, but not mine. The included remote also seems a little cheap and plasticy, given the impression the speakers seem to be trying to give. The included interlink cable allows the speakers to be separated up to 9 feet, though it seems rather thicker, and thus more inflexible, than it needs to be. To be honest, i would expect speakers with a £300 rrp to be connected wirelessly, but sadly this is not the case. There are plenty of options for connection – hdmi, digital optical, coaxial, 3.
  2. Classy, solid wireless speakers, packed with features. . These are large, solid speakers from philips that look very classy. Installation was very easy – there’s one power input and a large cable that runs between the left and right speakers. I connected an ipod and an android smartphone using bluetooth without any problems and from these the sound quality was good, although not exceptional. But that’s more down to the limitations of bluetooth technology than the speakers themselves. If you want the best audio experience then you’d best use a wired connection. I connected our tv via an optical cable but you can also use hdmi, coaxial or 3. The sound is deep and bassy and i could detect no distortion even at higher volume levels. The speakers come with a remote control that’s small and stylish, but is yet another remote that you have to add to your collection.

Work well but not very wireless. I think the product description is a little confusing saying “wireless speakers” as in fact one speaker needs power with a multi core cable to the other which in turn is connected to your sound source which in my case is an optical cable to my tv. True, you can play your smartphone music via bluetooth and that is the only bit that can be wireless. Mains power goes to the right speaker with a 10′ 3m long cable which links to the other speaker (10 pin din plugs on ends). The top of the left speaker which have a pine wood effect is also a power on/off, volume +/- and select bluetooth. The i/r sensor is also on the front of the left speaker and should you have a smart phone with nfc the contact point is on the right side of the left speaker. On the back of the left speaker are the inputs, optical, coax (rca phone), audio in (3. 5mm mini stereo phono jack) and hdmi (arc input only (audio return channel)). Note: the hdmi can also be used as an output but only to confirm the software installed and help carry out the upgrade.
    • Gorgeous speakers that don’t quite cut it for film and tv. The fidelio e2 (bts7000) speakers are elegant in form and function, easy to use and really satisfying to listen to for music. Unfortunately overpowering bass and muffled dialogue means they’re far from the best choice for movies and tv. If you just want to use these as luxuriously expensive bluetooth speakers, they’re really straightforward. All you need to do is plonk the cloth-and-wood-clad towers where you need them, plug one into the mains, and run a wire over to the other. You can then switch them on, turn them over to bluetooth and control the volume using nothing but the buttons on the left speaker, and they support the right standards for high-quality audio from apple or android devices. There’s even a usb port which will charge your device while the speakers are turned on. The reproduction on music is gorgeous; rich, warm, room-filling sound. I’ve tried jazz, rock, and classical music and they all sound natural and satisfying. The mellow audio was particularly great when listening to christmas classics while we put up our tree this year.
      • Traditional, wooden speakers with a good sound and a myriad of connections. These speakers stand about 30cm (1 foot in old money) tall so are not to be confused with the ubiquitous micro-speakers. They are housed in a traditional wooden case, making them both heavier than expected but solid too, unlikely to be knocked over by the cat. One speaker is the “master” with controls cleverly incorporated into the wooden “lid”; the other is connected to this master via a thick cable. I’d have preferred both speakers to communicate wirelessly thus avoiding this cable. I’ve only tried them so far using bluetooth from my android phone which connected with no issues and sounded good but not great. I detected a distinct mid-range ‘gap’ which i’m going to explore further with some other music sources just in case it is my phone. That said, these speakers sound very good, with a tight bass and clean treble; the remote lets you adjust this but with no indication of what the setting is you just have to set it “by ear”, quite literally. Volume is plentiful, and even at high volumes i detected no distortion.
  4. These nfc/bluetooth speakers from philips sound wonderful and are very easy to use. Connection to a tv as an alternative to using a sound-bar is highly creditable and sound from my tv sounds much enhanced. However, and this is the determining factor and the reason why they will not be taking pride of place in my living room – my wife doesn’t like the look or size of them – for a start they are hideously cloth bound – my wife says they look like they’re covered in cheap black sack cloth. The tops are finished in wood but not black, a light brown – this, i have to admit makes them look rather cheap and nasty. So wonderful sound but hideous design. These are premium priced speakers and really they are not finished, in my opinion, to the quality one would expect if paying this amount of cash. You need to see these in the flesh before you make a decision to buy.

Well packaged and delivered in good time. They are well made and the operation is simple and intuitive. It took me about 5 minutes to unpack, plug in, and begin enjoying music by streaming spotify from my tablet. I actually bought these for use with my tv. I didn’t fancy a soundbar and felt these gave more flexibility in terms of positioning. Simple connection by hdmi to my tv and working perfectly, even using my tv remote to control volume, which is great because the supplied remote is poor quality. The operation of the two boxes is on top of the left box, by pressure – on and off bluetooth, provides a very convenient way to control basic functions. The sound out of these is superb, great volume and really good bass. Overall i’m delighted especially at this price point, you get so much for your money.
