But rather cool looking device delivers amazing performance at this price. This inexpensive, small, but rather cool looking device delivers amazing performance at this price. I’ve paired it with a pair of old sony 3ohm speakers taken from a home media centre and the sound quality is superb with decent volume. You do have to position the device carefully to get good radio reception. Mp3 from either the usb or sdcard slot which should be formatted to fat32 standard. It’s very simple to operate. It remembers the play position when you power up the device, but only for a single stick or card re: you can’t swap usb sticks and expect it to remember the play position on each – however, and a major plus for my requirements, you can insert sdcard and a usb stick simultaneously and it remembers the play position of each – a real bonus in my view. By using the remote or front panel mode button you can switch between sdcard >usb >radio. By using the mode / forward & back buttons, once the volume is set, you can pretty much control the whole device with just those 3 buttons. I have been looking for the simplest way that a blind person (an elderly uncle) could access music and audiobook files. With music files on usb, audiobooks, ted talks and bbc plays on sdcard it’s a brilliant, simple and inexpensive way to offer a blind or visually impaired person access to audio media.

This is a brilliant little thing that packs an amazingly big punch – highly recommended.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Not my best buy!
  • Lepy amplifier Bluetooth? Or a scam?
  • Very clear sound

It plays mp3 files directly from a. It plays mp3 files directly from a usb stick and from a card – the number of a sound track can be chosen via the supplied remote. Nice sound from audioinput socket. Not sure if i can evaluate radio – the aerial is a bit too short to provide good reception in the place where i live. I do use it with a pair of 80’s jvc speakers (6 ohms).

Staggering value for an amp that, coupled to decent speakers, will destroy many a £150 micro hifi. Update: my amp’s left channel blew after only a few days. It was great, right until that point. I’ll be using the refund to go toward a proper amp. Original:this brilliant little amp shows the 80/20 rule really well. You get at least 80% sound quality of a decent system for 20% (or more like 10% in this case). If you were thinking of putting together a little system using an ipod or a computer and you had some decent speakers kicking about, this is the badger. It is plenty loud enough for a medium room, and delivers a clean sound.

This little hi-fi kit is really good and i can’t fault it in any way.

Good volume, good sound quality. Good volume, good sound quality, good radio. What more do you need for this pricenow bought a second to power the speakers in the bathroom.

Just as good as a hifi separate. My old kenwood amp is dying a slow death and am having to turn it all the way up to get a decent volume out of it. Decided as i only needed it to power a pair of gale 3010s speakers (8 ohm) on my desk, this would be the idea candidate. Have absolutely no issues with this. The sound and build quality are good and it just works out of the box.

I won’t bore you with a long spiel, i will just answer questions that i would want the answers to. Does it operate as describedpartly, it seems that the card readers only work sporadically, the amp itself is working at the moment. What is the after sales service like?non existentwould i buy again?possibly, but not from this supplier.

The radio has great reception. The amplification is not bad for the price.

Tiny little amp – but decent volume – perfect behind the tv to drive a couple of speakers to give decent sound for music progs. Have not tried to use the radio or usb slot as i didn’t buy it for those features, and the instruction ‘book’ (a single sheet, which references itself several times as a book or instructions manual) tells you very little.

I have only used this amp for a few hours during one day. I am using it with a pair of 4 ohm mini sony speakers from a defunct mini hi-fi. The remote is a bit intermittent so far but i will try a new battery in it at some point to see if that clears the apparent problem. Surprised by the good radio reception even with the antenna unextended as i live in an area of poor reception. Good volume range for the 4m x 4. 5m sitting room it is being used in. Ok, the sound is only as good as the speakers you are using but i am enjoying listening to the tv this way. I will be trying out an old pair of technics 8 ohm speakers eventually. Manual controls are ok and it is good to have the sd card & usb facilities.

Very good sound working from a cd player & local radio. Will not work from a memory stick or memory card why?.

But for the money its good value. . Not the loudest amp in the world and coudl do with a bit more bass, but for the money its good value.
