KitSound BoomBar Universal Portable Rechargeable Stereo Bluetooth Speaker Compatible – Sound quality is good, but only when it actually connects

I’d been looking out for an inexpensive bt speaker for a while, and when i saw that this was on offer and had good reviews i thought i’d take a punt. It was definitely worth it, as i think for the money it really represents good value for money. Sure, it’s not the loudest, or got the heaviest bass tones, but what is does give you is good overall tone, reasonable volume, in a package that is fairly compact. It is easy to pair to your device, and can also act as a speaker phone with it’s integral mic. It comes with a case, usb and phono cables, and has a removable battery which could be easily supplemented if you so wish. I have used it for several hours continuously without charging, but am not yet able to confirm the claimed playtime of 20hrs. Overall a good value item, with decent build quality and good output for the cash.

Well, this is just excellent for the money. Good instructions, and everything you need in the box – 3. 5mm stereo jack lead in case you can’t connect via bluetooth. Stand for the speaker so you can stand it up and excellent quality case for it all to go in for carrying around.

I bought this bluetooth speaker to use with my amazon echo note. Setup was simplicity itself and was done in a couple of minutes. The speaker has a phone style battery which you insert into the unit, it charges up quite quickly and lasts a very long time between charges. I only paid £20 for my speaker so was not expecting top quality sound but overall i am very pleased. The sound is very clear and doesn’t seem to be distorted if volume is increased. Anyone expecting deep bass sounds will be disappointed though. The complete package includes charging cable and a very useful carrying case. The unit is nice and small, nicely designed and good value for money. Here are the specifications for the KitSound BoomBar Universal Portable Rechargeable Stereo Bluetooth Speaker Compatible:

Dissapointed with this bought it to use at work build quality is good and supplied with a decent casehowever sound qality is poor buttons cant make out whats written on them is use an ipod classic via aux port on the side you cannont hear it at all you have to turn ipod onto full volume even then its quiet if you use it for blutooth maybe ok i have a sony one for home which leaves this one in the dust if you want good sound and volume go else where but if you want one for the kids this maybe ok.

This is a review after 6 months of using it. Started having problems with bluetooth pairing. It also makes a lot of crackling noises. Even when i connected the cable directly to my phone, the crackling noise is still ongoing. Sound quality is good, but only when it actually connects.

  • Sound quality is good, but only when it actually connects
  • The IPod unfortunately only lasts at best 9 hours but that is because it is on

Although the sound is quite good for the price range, the microphone is of low quality as other side complains that i sound muffled or there is an echo on their voice, and the indicator light is too bright, i had to cover it with duct tape. Also note that charging port is a mini usb and charging cables are not as common as with micro usb.

Bought this to link up with a nano ipod on bluetooth with sleep music for a special needs child. At least the speakers battery life is correct as it is on for over 11 hours a night and is recharged every third day. The ipod unfortunately only lasts at best 9 hours but that is because it is on blue tooth. Will use the auxiliary cable supplied with the speaker so we can connect the speaker direct to the ipod hoping the battery lasts longer in this mode. This is a second speaker the first we got from john lewis at £29. 99p on amazon although you do not get a two year warranty with amazon.

Love this bombar for the price and quality. Have purchased a number of these for family and friends and they all love it. I take it on holidays with me and it provides great sounds so that i enjoy my music anywhere.
