Betron KBS08 Wireless Portable Travel Bluetooth Speaker – Cant go wrong for the price :D

I bought two of these as i was so impressed. You can choose between 7 colours for the outer casing. Small and compact this speaker packs a punch. If you put this on a wooden floor or table the bass is powerful enough to fill the room with quality sound. I would advise pealing off the plastic protective cover on the bottom of the speaker, otherwise when in full volume mode the speaker will move slowly along the floor. Once the plastic is peeled off it grips the surface well. I like the subtle lights along the side and the top which change colour when in use. This speaker also speaks to you to let you know that bluetooth is connected and disconnected. Whilst playing, if you get a phone call it will also start speaking the number of the person who is phoning you so you can recognise the number. You can connect to the speaker via bluetooth or using a 3.

I was looking for a cheapish bluetooth speaker for when i am in my garage and something that was better and louder than my phone. Seen this product had so many reviews and they where mostly positive which too me was a good sign. Firstly when it arrived i was suprised by its size i thought straight away it was a lot smaller than i thought it was going to be. I seen the pictures from others and the comments about its size but it’s still a small speaker and it did still suprise me but it looked well built and was heavier than i expected. I connected straight away because when i switched it on it was set to the bluetooth setting i put on a playlist and turned it up. . Was very happy with the sound quality. It’s nice and it is reasonably loud, definitely well louder than my phone and isn’t so loud that it effects the sound. This little thing moves about if you put it on a flat surface with a song that has bass which made me laugh. I picked it up and looked at the bottom i noticed a plastic disc shaped protective sticker so i took it off and underneath it was a tacky rubber base so when the bass from a song is on it stays still which is a nice touch.

This beast arrived yesterday, so not had a great deal of time to road test it. However, very impressed so far. The sound quality for a relatively small device is terrific. Pairing the speaker with my phone was extremely quick and straightforward and it came charged up and ready to go out of the box. It looks and feels robust although not exactly light. It’s not ‘heavy’ but i guess not as light as you might expect. One thing that may not be for everyone is the lighting effect round the edge of the speaker which changes colour as you play music. (my wife likes it, i can take it or leave it. ) anyway, in a family full of critics we’d had the speaker paired with 3 different i-phones (1 at a time) within 10 minutes of me trying it out.

This a great little speaker and agree with other reviews that sound is very goodi have tested it with a samsung galaxy s2 , tesco hudl and an ostech tablet with no problem on any of the devices. As stated in other reviews the voice announcing each mode as they are selected via the mode button is very loud and very annoying (can anybody hack this it to turn it off). It does seem though that from some of the reviews people are annoyed as they are continually changing modes but i wonder why. I have seen questions asked of how the volume is controlled and the answers been “from the connected device”. This is true when in bluetooth mode but when using the micro sd card the volume is controlled using the plus and minus buttons on the device. One slight shortcoming is there is no indication of the level of battery charge, the speaker just suddenly switches off when the battery becomes empty. I leave it plugged in when using it if possible though on battery it lasts several hours on a full chargei have found that sometimes i need to go into the controlling device and press the speaker name in the list of bluetooth devices before it will connect even if it was paired previously this seems to be true if the speaker has been previously connected to a different device. Mostly it just connects when it senses the device. Another added advantage is being able to use the speaker as “hands free device” to answer phone calls as where i live has a terrible phone signal i could leave the phone on the window sill and have the speaker on my desk. However at the moment i can’t answer the phone by pressing the phone button on the speaker.

I have been spending ever longer at my macbook pro as a result of the restrictions imposed by a developing medical condition and have become increasingly aware of its limitations when it comes to playing music. A friend recommended trying a bluetooth speaker as a ‘stopgap’ so, with this in mind, and determination to limit my spend, i spent some time looking for something that might fill the gap. So the betron was a result of seeing a compact, reasonably attractively designed unit that had good reviews, was inexpensive, and likely to fulfil the required function. Ordering from amazon, the unit arrived quickly and appeared robustly constructed and suitably utilitarian in design. First impression of the whole package was positive but i wasn’t impressed by the rather frugal instructions. I’m not one for ‘techie’ gadgets, so it takes its time for me to install anything (that, probably, 6 year old could do in seconds. However, all fairly straightforward – after a few attempts (would have been quicker had the instructions been better). Like several reviews, i found the startup voice a bit weird – but it’s not an issue – but unlike some others i found the radio function works well (for what it is). I am impressed by the sound when it comes to playing music.

The sound is clear its quite powerful considering its size its heavy-ish due to the (steel ring around it?). Battery life is good also, all around well worth it. Put it on a wodden surface and it acts as a speaker box which sounds even better than it already does. Inputs are weird though, as it it uses a usb connector for charging and it uses the same connecter as a aux audio in and not the 3. 5 mm female earphone connector on speaker – (the connector is the same as a samsung phone charger connector or ps4 controller usb cable) not normally used as an audio in but hey, it works. Grab one of these kb-s08 speakers its worth it.

  • The best speaker for its size and price
  • Very Happy And Suprised! Excellent Quality/Sound/Battery life
  • I don’t usually shout but this is AMAZING!

Amazing i was doubtful buying this but i’m so pleased the quality and sound is wonderful so good i bought a further 2 for other family members i bought red black and white i love the fact it is portable charge is really good i use mine all day bass is super got it linked to phone and tablet 10/10 what a bargain next day delivery with prime even better buy one you wont regret it ✔.

This speaker is a solid weighty product designed and manufactured to the highest quality with a finish without blemish. The sound quality for its size is commensurate or better than some speakers of a larger nature. Sadly i returned this item due to it not having the bluetooth range that i was looking for. It stated ten meters but after five meters it lost its connectivity. Overall though a great solid product and recommended and if kept close by to your proposed bluetooth tie up then you can expect great sounds and satisfaction.

Important – the product i ordered from amazon never arrived, so this brief review is based on an identical unit i sourced elsewhere. Firstly, don’t be fooled by the size of this unit. The volume and sound quality is actually far superior to some expensive bookshelf speakers i’ve had in the past. Put it on a wooden desk or tabletop, and the bass punches it’s way through with astonishing ease. The bluetooth connectivity works flawlessly, and at some distance away too. Further than is to be expected for a small bluetooth speaker. Battery is pleasantly surprising too. I’ve had around 5 hours continuous playtime on a full charge. Obviously you won’t have to worry about battery life if you choose to keep it plugged into a charger while in use. I wasn’t a fan of the colour-changing lights at first, which cannot be turned off.

My husband has tinnitus and i have misophonia so we both require an alternative sound source to deal with our ‘issues’. This little beauty has so many good things going for it. Bluetooth, (and pairing is a doddle)inbuilt antenna, so it can pick up fm radio. Led colour changing lights which can be turned on or off. Phone call receiving/ending/rejecting feature. Excellent acoustics, for such a tiny thing (61mm x 61mm x 61mm) it has a powerful soundprobably the only thing that lets it down slightly is the relatively short playing time of only four hours, but unless, like me, you like to listen to audible (it’s an amazon app so i don’t suppose they’d mind some free advertising) books all night that shouldn’t be an issue. For its current price, much reduced, it is excellent value, and comes with instructions, and charging usb cable/jack.

Amazing speaker with great sound. Much better than expected for the brilliant price. The bluetooth works brilliantly and supports spotfiy well. The product arrived in good time and was well proctedted. The speaker itself i say a great size and very sturdy. It can fill a room with music and volume can ben controlled via phone and the device itself. I have also send this via the laptop as a speaker. It has been on two holidays with us and is great for the beach and hotel room. Would definitely my recommend and buy again.

If you’re expecting something with the room shaking audio of bose soundlink or taotronics 20w speaker you’ll be disappointed but for something that’s less than a tenth the price of bose you get a tiny, lightweight speaker that is solidly built, doesn’t have the tinny pitch of many small speakers and has the best sound of any of its size and price rivals. For anyone who wants a speaker they can pop in a bag for travel or listen round the house it’s ideal and it does get pretty loud without distortion.

Its not a big sound, obviously, the unit is only the size of an aerosol lidbut its a nice sound, and the bass is present and balanced. With careful siting you may even get a small thump out of itits a weighty device, and seems very sturdy and engineered. It feels more expensive than it is in the hand. Lights up nicely too :-)at this price it has to be a 5 star rating.

First thing i noticed was the size of this speaker how it produces the sound is amazing. It’s tiny which is perfect for me just to take down the beach or on site. It’s really well made and i just can’t knock it for the price. I don’t get why others have rated it down on the sound quality i mean come on it has one tiny speaker in it so you are not going to get deep bass and good mid range and tweeters. That said it’s a good sound and it does go pretty loud, you can’t compare this to any high end bose speaker because it’s about 12 x less in price and about 4 x smaller with one speaker.

For the time that it worked, it worked very well. I can honestly say, i loved this little beast of a speaker. I liked the overall volume, the bass was so good it was actually a bit of an issue (i’ll get to that in a second) and the battery life was superb, much better than i initially expected. It has a very durable and well made feel about it, something you hold in your hands and think that if you threw this at someone they’d break a bone or something and considering the price is an amazing buy and i would probably buy it again considering the circumstances. The bass of the speaker (since it does not have any rubber grips or ‘feet’ to hold it) will make the speaker migrate to the closest way off any surface faster than i can say ‘what a tune’. I solved this by wadding up some tissue and wedging it against something like a bottle of water, not great but what can you do?. 😂but the main reason that i gave this otherwise amazing product 3 stars is the fact it stopped charging. I’ve tried 2 different cables along with the one supplied but to no avail.
